Ivan pierced my 14 year olds second ear piercing and it was the easiest process. My daughter said she didn't experience any pain. Piercings were in the perfect spot and even on both sides. I had a really disappointing and upsetting experience here that I feel people should know about. When I went in for a belly button piercing, I specifically asked beforehand if I even had the correct anatomy for it, because I didn't want to risk complications. The piercer assured me I was fine and had me pick out my jewelry. I chose a gold flower with a diamond combo. The piercing itself didn't hurt much, but once it was done, I was given no aftercare instructions -- we just went straight to payment. Within a day, the skin around my piercing became irritated and red. The jewelry was too short and the flower edges were sharp, causing the top to embed into my skin. I called the shop to ask what to do and was told that if the piercing was removed and closed, I'd have to pay again. I was also told that if I came in on a day my original piercer wasn't there, another piercer might charge me separately since they are independently contracted. This felt very discouraging, and I was told to "wait a week." That same night, I ended up going back and having the jewelry changed to a longer bar. Still, no mention was made about my anatomy being unsuitable, and no aftercare advice was given. Over the next few days, the piercing only got worse -- red, painful, itchy, and pus-filled. Finally, I went to a completely different piercing studio for a second opinion. The piercer there was shocked at the state of it and told me I never had the correct anatomy for a belly button piercing in the first place. He also said the piercing was done too deep and thick into my skin. His advice was to remove it immediately to avoid further problems, so I did. Now I'm left with an infected wound, $120 gone, and a very bad experience. I feel taken advantage of and wish I had been given honest guidance from the start. Please, if you're considering going here, ask a lot of questions and be cautious. read more

Came in for my daughter's first ear lobe piercing at 8 years old. They were quick, friendly, sterile and professional. We were really happy with the surgical steel titanium flat back options. They had several options to choose from. Ultimately we went with the flat backs as I thought that would be most comfortable for my daughter as she gets use to having earrings. The cost was $70 cash and we were in and out within 25 minutes at 4pm on a Saturday. We definitely got there just before the rush as there were about 7-8 people waiting when we left. 5 stars for getting my daughters' ears pierced! Ivan is a dad so he's great with kids and made my 2 daughters feel at ease. I also like how he put the dot on their ear lobes for precision then got my approval on the location where the earring would go. They have a great selection of earrings of different sizes, colors and metals that my daughters could choose from. The place is super clean and they wear gloves and are very sterile. I also liked how Ivan gave us after-care instructions. We followed his instructions and my daughters had a perfect experience without any issues and their ears stayed pierced with zero problems! Both my daughters said it didn't even hurt! My tip is to arrive right when they open (which is what we did) so you don't have to wait. They take you in the order you arrive and they don't take reservations. They have a free parking lot behind the building or street parking. It is cash only so bring cash! It was $50 for ear piercing for my 9yr old daughter including the earrings. This was better than my experience at the mall when I got my ears pierced when I was a kid. Had a great experience at the DP location the other day. My 14yo daughter got her nostril pierced by Eddie, and he was so friendly and kind! There were 3 people waiting ahead of us and then 2 more came in after us, but he was patient and attentive, and did not appear to be rushing anyone through. We were probably there for around 45 min in total. While there we saw 1 belly button and 2 first-time ear piercing clients come out, and every one was all smiles saying they couldn't believe how painless it was. Wonderful experience. My daughter had her ears pierced by Lovasa in the mall twice bc her left ear had gotten infected maybe a year or so after her piercing, but after the second time, we were swimming in Hawaii and it was bugging her so she removed it. Mind you, this is many years post piercing so it wasn't their fault. She removed it and since it was painful and swollen, it closed but it was better to let it close than keep the earring in a ear that wasn't having it. So now we are 5 months out from the removal and her blistered scar behind the piercing had reduced and she was ready to no longer be a one-earring pirate kid. So I read reviews for Get My Point and opted for this location over the laguna hills one (much closer to home) bc of simply put, the price. Laguna Hills said $40 including jewelry and Dana Point said $25. It ended up being $30 at checkout, not sure why but I honestly didn't care. Cheaper than all the times we've pierced for $30-40 at the mall only to have them not work out! The earring selection here was so much better than I thought it would be! Super cute opal and blue opal options, gold balls, onyx balls, clear crystal of various diameters, lots of pretty options. We arrived about 10 mins after opening and were the first customers. I scanned the QR code and completed a rather painless intake process on my phone. She was taken back and Ivan was such a sweet guy. He looked at her ear and advised to give it more time before piercing, but I brought his attention to the fact that Lovasa pierced the holes uneven to begin with. He looked and saw that the closed hole was a good (I'm estimating) 4 mm off from where it should've been. Luckily for us this go around, the Lovasa place at the mall was so off by measurements, that he could pierce her! He cleaned her off, marked the new spot and laid her back. She was so nervous even though this would be her third time being pierced. He counted down quite a long time haha which would make me more nervous if I were lying there bc of the anticipation. She didn't flinch or say "ow," he was smooth, upbeat, personable and very sweet. Ivan, if you're reading this, thank you for being such a cool guy with an easy gentle efficient hand. The place was great. I went to Ivan in August of 2021 to pierce my Daith. I had never gotten a piercing before. Everything was super quick, professional, and the jewelry was high quality. I changed the captive bead ring to a horseshoe ring in March of 2022. I never ran into any issues with infections, I used saline 1-2x a day. In May of 2022, I got both earlobes pierced by Ivan, again. Also no issues whatsoever, super fast healing too. I've recommended his shop to tons of people-- the only piercer I will ever suggest. The place was super chill and the workers are really nice. The place wasn't creepy and gaudy like some other piercing shops. We took our daughter here to get her ears pierced based on overwhelming recommendations from our friends and neighbors. They did not disappoint, Ivan was so patient, personable and professional. Our daughter was both excited and understandably nervous, but Ivan was precise and swift with his execution and in the end we had a very happy little girl. 6 weeks post piercing and we haven't had any issues, so I highly recommend them over those other piercing gun mall locations. The shop is small, they have a decent selection of jewelry. We chose to bring our own earrings, if you decide to bring your own, just keep in mind that the gauge size of the prongs matter when piercing. They only take cash and from what I recall it's walk in only does normal piercing service.
