They also have a tasting menu for those who may be new to Indian cuisine and want to try a variety of dishes. This was one of the best meals I've ever had. To start off the drinks were all super delicious and unique I tried the Mood Ring, Mumbai Libre , and the best of the night was the Passion Rum. As for food every single thing I ordered was amazing the yellow fun tuna was very fresh, the samosa chaat was 10/10 one of my favorite things I had, backyard pakora delicious specially with the sauce that comes with it, the lamb hakka noodles were good, the kerala lamb was also one of the best things we had ,the beef korma is covered in the most delicious cashew sauce, the saffron channa masala was great if you're a fan of garbanzo beans. The food was amazing. The service was atrocious. I know as a server, there are things that are within your control and things that are not. Our server Pedro (with hoops in his ears), was one of the rudest servers I've ever had in my entire life. First, we sat for about 20 minutes before he even acknowledged our table, and that was after we had to flag in down to take our order. And no apologies, no "sorry about the wait". Nothing. We were being used for video content by this videographer that was going around the restaurant without our consent or even acknowledgment. Then, when my group started to order none of us knew that either our whole table had to order from the Miami Spice menu, or no one could. Which is something he could have told us from the beginning. But he didn't. When we got to speak to the manager to clear it up, we had to wait another 20 minutes for Pedro to come back to our table to take our orders again. When we got our drinks, there was no indication that any of the runners knew who ordered what, and we had to yell across our own table to try to help them figure out who ordered what. Again, something that Pedro should have reconciled. He never came by to ask if we wanted another round of drinks, and there were drink orders that were not fulfilled until later in the night, and that was after asking him multiple times for them. When the food came out, again, the food runners did not know who ordered what, so we had to figure it out ourselves. Additionally, food that we didn't order came to our table while food that we did order never came. Then one of my friends asked for a refill of water politely while he was refilling the table, only to be purposefully skipped. He never came by to clear our tables, never asked us how the food was, and never offered any to go boxes. We had to flag another waiter to our table to ask for boxes. By that point, we wanted to go because we were so fed up. So we asked for our dessert to go. But our waiter said that he wasn't going to give us our dessert until we paid. He had such a nasty attitude that I asked another waiter if something was going on with him and if she could talk to him. She must have talked to him because when he came back, he had an increasingly snarky, sarcastic attitude with us as we paid. And we had to wait an additional 40 minutes for our dessert even after we paid. At that point, it was getting ridiculous, and when he came back to our table, he started being very disrespectful. It took another waiter, Sophia, to interject and de-escalate the situation. She was very understanding and this was the first time we actually felt cared for. Unfortunately, the manager didn't come to our table (God knows where they were), but the entire night we felt that also something was going on with management that was not good. In addition to removing Pedro as a server, I would definitely like to see a change in management. I'm usually one to overlook relatively bad service if the food is good. But the food couldn't save the horrible service Pedro gave to us. But I'm thankful for Sophia for intervening and being a good representative for the restaurant when the management was probably out doing social media content and not caring about the actual experience of their customers... I vacationed in Miami for 6 whole days and this was hands down my favorite dinner during the time here. I had the tikka masala and the ghost pepper naan, both were fantastic and very authentic tasting. The atmosphere was amazing as well. When deciding where to go for dinner our relative recommended this place and I'm so glad they did. Everything from the drinks all the way to the dessert was phenomenal. Our waitress Erica was super friendly and gave us great recommendations from the menu that did not dissolve. The decor was also really nice and even the archways were well thought out. We ordered the following For drinks: We had the Mumbai libre and golden thread. The Mumbai libre was really refreshing and the golden thread was unexpected but really good. Appetizers: We ordered the samosa chaat and mushroom momo. A runner accidentally brought us an extra samosa chaat and it was really hard for the table to tell her that it must have been for someone else because it was that good and our favorite dish of the night. Main: The table ordered chicken tikka masala, kerala lamb and chicken tandoori and of course garlic naan. All amazing definitely has a kick to. The lemon rice of the chicken tandoori was very flavorful and would definitely be ordering this dish again next time I go. Dessert: Normally I'm not always tempted to order dessert but all the other food having been so good we couldn't resist. We were torn between the chai ice cream sandwiches and the date cake so we got both! We were so glad too the date cake was moist and While I loved both i definitely leaned more towards the date cake since the texture was the way I like it and the ginger ice cream in too was refreshing. We decided to go out to celebrate my fiancés sister, as she graduated from highschool today. We decided upon Ghee restaurant in Wynwood as it's eye catching interior and delicious looking food caught our attention. Upon arriving, this place feels much different compared to other Wynwood restaurants with its warm colors and Indian-inspired designs. We were promptly seated and were asked for our drinks. If I had to gripe about anything, our server felt a little spacey. They were kind of all over the place and certain things took a bit longer to get taken care of then they should have. We decided upon the Tasting Menu, which to our surprise, was actually cheaper since it was a Monday (it was $50/pp as opposed to $75/pp). What accompanied was 13 dishes of absolute joy. Each dish had layers to it. Even my fiancés stepdad who was a bit trepidatious, ended up really enjoying his meal. The food was seasoned beautifully. Everything was hot. Some dishes that stood out in particular were the Hangersteak, the Chicken Tikka masala, the Crispy Broccoli, the Tuna Tartare with Puffy Rice, the Lentils and the Mahi Mahi. For dessert you get two of their signatures, the Sticky Date Cake and the Gulab Jamun. The Gulab Jamun was absolutely insane. It was soft and completely absorbed the caramel and was topped with sliced almonds. The cake was delicious too but wish the date flavor was more pronounced. Now be warned, if you are looking for an authentic Indian restaurant, this might not be the place for you. BUT, the food does use a lot of traditional spices. If you're looking for a good time in Miami's Wynwood district and enjoy eating Indian inspired dishes, this place should definitely be on your list! Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Let me first start by saying I'm not usually a fan of Indian food but all the rave about this place got us here and it was (as stated in the beginning) amazing! The key players of the evening who delivered excellent service were Genesis aka Mama Gene, Jophiel and Pedro (radio voice with a rockstar look). They elevated the experience. First, we started off with the charred corn (savory, aromatic and sweet) , backyard pakora (crunchy and yummy starter with a tamarind dipping sauce) and the yellowfin tuna (the flavors in this is popping with flavor; you've got to get this dish). The main course was chicken tikka masala and the smoked lamb neck. They are both savory but that lamb neck melts in your mouth and bursting with flavor. This dish can be shared. The warm date cake paired with ginger (not too much) ice cream and topped of with drizzled toffee syrup. We took our (Indian) family to Ghee in Wynwood for a special occasion dinner and everyone was ecstatic about the experience. From being seating surrounded by the amazing decor, we couldn't stop looking around at the walls/ceilings throughout the meal. Speaking of which, initially we thought we ordered too much food, but the portions were perfect for sharing and we enjoyed every bite. My favorites were the mushroom momos, the duck biriyani and the dosa which I've ordered twice before, and still surprises me. Also we really appreciate the people working there who are so knowledgeable about the restaurant, chef/kitchen, and dishes. I've been a fan of Ghee from its time in the Design District pre Covid. Glad it's back in the area. Food is always amazing. It's one of the only Indian restaurants that I like that has tomato free and gluten free dishes. The service at this location was fantastic and the decor lovely. I'd heard about Ghee for as long as I can remember, but rarely go further south than Coconut Grove. Luckily, Ghee opened up another location in Wynwood! The restaurant is bright, decorated with beautiful colors and cozy. My friends and I went today for lunch and showed up hungry. While looking at the drinks menu, I had a hard time deciding what I wanted and asked if they could possibly add vodka to the chai lemonade. The bartender happily obliged and the drink was exactly what I wanted. We then decided to order basically the entire snacks menu, including the GREEN PAPAYA SALAD, YELLOWFIN TUNA BHEL, MUSHROOM MOMO, SAMOSA CHAAT, and the CHILI PANEER. I went the night after their public opening and was very impressed with the food and service! I ate at the South Dade location years ago and had a decent enough experience, but felt that the food and ambience at this location was on another level. The stand outs were the mushroom momos (perfectly steamed and powerfully flavorful), ghost pepper cheddar paratha (spicy, but actually tolerable), and daal makhani (so buttery without being too heavy) which were all unanimously praised at the table. The soya kebab was flavorful and smoky with a tofu texture. The saag paneer was actually a bit spicy, but very fresh. The warm sticky date cake was a hit and the ice cream was very solid. I love how crunchy it is and as a celiac really reminds me of those crunchy foods that I used to love but without the gluten. My favorite Indian dish is palak paneer however I felt like the restaurant fell short in taste for this item. My husband got the crab curry and he was not impressed with this either. What I did love was the rice pudding desert - so good! Our waiter was nice and understanding of the celiac thing.
