I felt like I was scammed. The charge/service was way too much. $25.00 for the appointment that didn't go towards your service. $180 for the service and $20 for the healing spray. I wish I would've read the reviews before hand. Sounds like a few similar reviews. This was for a nose piercing. I later requested a receipt and was emailed the wrong receipt that was for $122. I took my daughter here to have her ears pierced, and while the piercer was kind, she didn't seem experienced. Since it's advertised that Rawan does the piercings, I was surprised that it was someone else and Rawan was not on site. I wish I had known a few important details beforehand. There's a $25 deposit required to book, which was fine, but when we arrived I learned that the only earring options available for piercing started at $100 per earring--so over $200 total. Nowhere on the website or during booking was this mentioned, and there were no more affordable choices. I think that's something families should be aware of before going in. Given the cost, I expected the earrings to be very high quality, but they left a bit of residue on her ears like you'd get from cheaper jewelry. About a month after the piercing, one earring fell out and the hole Immediately closed, even though she hadn't been touching them. When I reached out, I was told I needed to buy another earring ($100) but they could wave the $25 piercing fee, which made me very uncomfortable given the earring was low quality and fell out so easily. Another thing to note--the piercer had difficulty getting the placement right. She had to redo the markings on my daughter's ears five separate times before actually piercing, which made me nervous. Overall, the lack of transparency around pricing, issues with placement, and quality really disappointed me. I came here to get my belly button pierced. I was told the titanium jewelry was the best especially since my skin tends to be sensitive, i agreed and chose my jewelry which i was told was going to be $180 just for the jewelry, apart from the $25 fee i had already paid for the appointment. i got it pierced and everything was well and i did notice the bar a bit long, i thought it was normal since it tends to swell and needed space. i purchased a spray from here to clean it as well so another $20 there, i ended up spending $225 in total for a BELLY BUTTON PIERCING! some days go by and i noticed it start getting very red, i followed all instructions so what could it be? today i had enough. i couldn't even sit and the pain was very bad and i began feeling a sharp pain around my piercing. i called rawan to make sure i wasn't crazy and if it was normal, to which the moment i stated i was having issues with my piercing, she hung up on me. i tried calling back thinking maybe it was an accident, no response. I got up and went to a tattoo shop near me, as soon as i lifted my shirt and showed my piercing the piercer there gasped and told me that my piercing was done a little too low. i do have the right anatomy but the piercing should've been done a tad bit more up and she also stated my jewelry was migrating and it was too big and heavy for the way it was pierced. she gave me 2 options, take the jewelry out and let it close so i can get it redone properly or get a new sized bar to see if it heals this way. i didn't spend over $200 for nothing so i chose another bar. she sized me down to an 8mm bar and changed my jewelry on the spot for me, i feel lied to and scammed. i was intormed no piercing or jewelry should cost me over $200 let alone one done incorrectly. here are my pictures of the day i got it, the jewelry i got it changed to and the size difference. i feel so much more comfortable and i can finally sit now. im so disappointed and would love my money back, but clearly this person only cares about the money. read more

I would not recommend getting your piercings here. I took my daughter here to get her ears pierced. They did not inform me that the earrings being used were a small gauge and would make it impossible to change them out. When she did take them out after several months, the piercings closed right up. Im not new to piercings so when I tell you that these prices are inflated like crazy believe me. The Jewelry is what they are up charging you for. Stainless steel is almost a 90$ markup; I want to remind you all the Columbia mall is down the street and you can walk into Spencer's, Claire's, etc. and find titanium and stainless steel (and more hypoallergenic options) for the correct price point. They wont tell you the price on the site (of course) so be prepared to spend 200$ on something very simple like your ears; or in my case my eyebrow. The hygiene alone should bring the price down for what they are charging because if my piercer is touching the jewelry ungloved, alcohol is the only cleanser in between steps/customers, and the jewelry is from pack sets off amazon what is resulting in a 200$+ experience?? Anywho, I believe in honesty for businesses Im sure they would thrive more (even if this isn't a certified practice) if the prices were reasonable. read more

Save your money! I went this place on 02/21 to have my belly button pierced. There was a piercer there who seemed fairly new to piercing. My belly button was pierced too shallow and crooked. Also, the jewelry I was given was too long and kept sliding and rotating while trying to heal. I reached out to the owner and requested via email in her site to have the piercing repierced. I received no response. At that point I requested a refund via text message and when she responded she blamed me for not having the piercer correct it then. I had just been pierced and did not know how it should look. She also asked me for pictures which I provided. She took another day to respond and said she would not give me a refund because of my anatomy and that there was a waiver. I reminded her that she did not have a refund policy listed anywhere on the site and that the woman had already pierced me before running after me with a paper to sign as I was already at the elevator. My piercing and jewelry were $237 all together and she provided no options to rectify the situation. In fact she stopped responding to me all together. Horrible experience read more

Negligent during my piercing. Terrible customer service when scheduling and I assume the manager who I spoke to was completely dishonest. She claimed that a certain piercer (the one who I had asses me due to my persistent pain and discomfort) was lying and attacking her as if the piercer knew who she even was. I had never even told the APP certified piercer who I went to for the piercing, so how would they be intentionally badmouthing Rawan's shop? I had a really bad experience for something so simple. I went to Rawan to change my nose piercing to a different hoop. I gave her my new gold hoop which I wanted inserted. She pulled the ring apart to get it ready to insert and, as soon as I looked at it, I knew it was damaged. She pulled it far too wide. Sure enough, once in my nostril, it wouldn't align back up and close properly. She tried for several minutes, pulling and pushing, while I had to endure the discomfort. Finally, I told her to stop because it was becoming painful. My gold ring was completely marred and out of shape. She said she was sorry and that she would reimburse me for the appointment fee. She also said she would replace the damaged ring with a new one that she would order. I said fine. I have contacted her about the fee refund and the ring and she is now ghosting me. This is unfortunate as I am now out of $125. I'm disappointed by her lack of response and follow-through. This could have been avoided if she were a professional. read more

This place needs to be shut down. the person actually doing this the piercing is not the one advertised on the website but instead a random inexperienced person with little to no piercing skills, this person pierced one of my 10 year old daughter's lobes at an angle so awful it had to be immediately removed by tattoo shop piercer (that very night), they used piercing needles and earring posts completely non-standard and much too big for ear lobes, (16 gauge), "sterilized" the earrings by briefly wiping them with a cotton ball dipped in a bit of alcohol, sold me "titanium" earrings for $110 that when chemically tested by a tattoo shop proved to actually be cheap stainless steel, owner refused to respond to my texts outlining my these concerns and subsequently blocked my number and won't respond to my emails. read more

I scheduled a 4pm Friday appointment for my daughter. Rawan contacted me the day prior and asked to reschedule the appointment, and we agreed to a 10:30 am Saturday appointment time. We arrived at the office building shortly before 10:30am, but the doors were locked. There was no call panel to gain entry. We had to wait until someone exiting the building opened the door, so we could go inside. We called Rawan once inside, because her business was not listed on a lobby panel. She told us to go up to the third floor. As we were entering the elevator, two other people arrived and couldn't get into the building. We let them in, and because they looked to be about the same age as my daughter, asked if they were looking for the piercing studio, and they followed us up to the third floor. We knocked on Rawan's studio door, but we could tell the light was turned off, so then we sat in the waiting room. Rawan arrived carrying what looked like shopping bags of supplies. By this point it was 10:54am. My daughter said, "I saw her pull up in the parking lot and get out of her car," so Rowan clearly wasn't already in the building or wasn't running late with another client. After a short conversation with the other two people in the room, Rawan asked if we were her 10:30 appointment and led us into her studio. She NEVER apologized for being very late. She showed my daughter the jewelry options which started at $50 a piece for surgical steel and titanium starting at $100 a piece for basic stud flatbacks! If you know anything about jewelry, then you understand that she's charging a 5x-plus mark-up. This did not include the price of the piercing. She also said that surgical steel contains nickel, but she failed to state that it is tightly bound and considered hypoallergenic for most people and unlikely to cause allergic reactions. Folks, surgical steel is used for medical instruments and implanted in the human body. It's perfectly safe to use for a piercing stud that will be in the lobe for six weeks. Rawan went straight for the extremely bloated up-sale. An honest and seasoned piercer, will educate clients and ask questions, not attempt to rip-off clients. Further, she didn't have any options in gold surgical steel, only silver, which means titanium was the only option. At this point, I told her the rates were too inflated, and significantly more than other piercers. Her website doesn't work, and I mistakingly assumed her rates were in alignment with other piercers. Her response was, "When people come to me, they know what they're getting." How is that possible, when a business doesn't post their rates? Despite the fact that she was 24 minutes late to the appointment after being the one to reschedule it in the first place, not apologizing for being late and wasting a client's time, and being dishonest about pricing, Rawan refused to refund the $25 downpayment for the appointment. My strong recommendation is to avoid this business. I've had several piercings in my life, including body piercings, and I'm familiar with the practice. This piercer is unprofessional and dishonest. There are better piercers in the area. I as able to make an appointment with another piercer in Columbia the same day, and the total price was $96. The placement was perfect, and the experience was lovely. We tipped them very generously. read more

Grace quickly pierced my nose and great service. She was very sweet and made sure everything went well for me.

I would say "pass". Why? For a few reasons. First, Rawan was not the person who did my piercing and had no idea that someone else would perform the service. I only found that out once I got there so that threw me off. Usually, real salons tell you who will be performing your service. Second, the salon was unkempt and looked like a spare closet but cool, I wouldn't be there for long. However, the main reason that I am writing this review is because of this next reason. I had my nose piercing done less than 24 hours ago, my nose ring is already gone. How? I washed my face. I immediately called the number listed as the contact and spoke with Rawan. I told her what happened and if she could help reinsert a new ring that I would have been happy to pay for. She told me no and that the only way to help was for me to pay for a whole new piercing. A piercing that I ignorantly paid $100 for in addition to the cleaning solution and a 15% tip. So I told her I would not return since she wasn't going to help me. I then researched other solutions and thought to call the tattoo and piercing shop nearby in Columbia (near Elkridge) where I was going to go to in the first place and asked for a REAL professional opinion. They told me that it is possible to reinsert a fresh ring into a new nose piercing and that that's what they would have done had I gone to them and advised against me trying to do it myself. I appreciated the consultation and I will give them my business next time, especially since they are half the price I paid here AND they are authorized to carry titanium jewelry. If you ask me, I would strongly recommend you consider NOT using Rawan's service as piercing is clearly a hobby of hers and not a profession. Leave it to the experts, do your research and ask questions to save yourself time, money, and frustration. read more

If I could rate this a 0 I would because (allegedly) Rawan chooses to scam her customers and run her business by lying and stealing others' intellectual property. On her website, she claims to be a member of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP)-- this is a lie. Also, on her website, she claims that an outside lab inspects her sanitization -- this is also a lie. Almost everything on her website is stolen from the websites of other piercing shops that actually are affiliated with the APP. She does not have an autoclave and instead keeps her clamps in barbicide which I now know does not sterilize and only disinfects. She also grossly overcharges for cheap jewelry off of the internet. My friend and I were charged $115 per 'titanium' flatback when I found the exact same jewelry online for $10-$16 a piece. To top it all off, I consulted with an actual APP piercer who said that I was pierced incorrectly and I ended up having to take them out not even 48 hours after getting them. I contacted Rawan via text 24 hours after getting pierced asking for a refund and explaining that she got our business through false pretenses - she has yet to respond. I have also reported her to the APP as well as to all of the shops that she has stolen from. Don't trust all of the positive reviews you see on Google -- at the end of your appointment she says that she will give you a free piece of jewelry in exchange for a positive review. Her office was a bit hard to find but it was worth it! Her process was extremely professional and clean. She used high grade medical equipment to execute the procedure and was super sweet and nice throughout. She was exceedingly careful with the placement to make sure it was even and her jewelry selection was top notch for an initial stud. We went with black titanium which was a bit expensive, but am happy with the choice. It was a screw on stud with a flat back so it should be exceptionally comfortable especially for a first time ear piercing. Normally we wouldn't be able to stand waiting for it it heal to change the jewelry, but they look so nice we'll be keeping them to wear for many years to come. She even had gem options to choose from which was super nice. Extra helpful with after care instructions and had easy application saline solution on hand so we'd be sure to be taking care of them correctly. No complaints! Worth the cost to know it was done well and jewelry was high quality. read more

This option is meh. Communication is poor. I booked the appointment and did not get a confirmation or a reminder. When I drove to the professional office bldg I needed an entrance code that was not provided so I had to call. Then when I get to the studio I stood outside a locked door waiting for the late not-Rawan piercer. I had to call again. Rawan was not there even though the salon advertises she is the piercer. The studio looked like a tween girls messy room. My instinct was telling me to bail but I went on through with it since it was a simple 2nd hole on my lobes. The price was not commensurate with the service. It was $120 per ear plus. Ultimately, the piercer who did the work was efficient enough and I came away with good holes that seem to be doing fine. I took a pass on the cleaning solution which is salt water that Rawan's charged $35. read more

This place was awful. We were told we needed to reschedule the morning of our appointment due to an emergency and she couldn't open the business until 1 PM. We reschedule the same day to 1:30 and 2:00 PM. We arrived at 1:15 and it was just a corporate office building that's locked. No code was given on the email confirmation so we had to call to get the code. Another appointment arrived at the same time and theirs was also 1:30. Rawan told us she would take them first since it was one young girl and my sister and I were back to back. However, we rescheduled from that morning and should have been taken back first due to the inconvenience. Rawan said they would only be 10 minutes. She took 40 minutes with this client and then finally brought us back. Once we were back, she had us look through the piercings and the cheapest was $70!! The ones we liked were $100. When i told her i was getting both of my ear lobes done, she said "oh that'll be $200." There was no pricing available online and never thought it would be that expensive. The piercings she left in my ears are not even earrings they are rods. We didn't even get free cleaning products or a cleaning pamphlet. We were rushed out of there in 15 minutes between both my sister and I. I will NEVER come here again. Please avoid this business at all costs it is a scam. read more
