My mom and I live out of town and after a long day of travel, we arrive to our Airbnb late and decided to try Giacos because it was nearby. we arrived at the restaurant late (close to closing) and the staff graciously sat us anyway (at their last available table). They apologized in advance for the wait (due to a full restaurant and being understaffed) and left us with menus. Our waitress Greer greeted us right away, who was an absolute joy; she was not only professional but made us feel right at home. We ordered the Hamachi crudo, cesar salad and Short rib pappardelle & chocolate mousse. Everything was absolutely amazing. I absolutely would go back, just for the Crudo and the service. 10/10 experience thanks mostly to Greer and the delicious food.

Head west over White's Hill and you're in the Valley, where Giaco's Valley Roadhouse is located. You might be a mere 40 minutes away from San Francisco but things are different out here as my experience clearly demonstrated. The staff seemed ample and kind but basically clueless in the art of service. Coffee and cream were served without any silverware on the table. Five separate requests for silverware were made of multiple workers and still, the only way I got a spoon with which to stir my (now cold) coffee was by going inside and getting a spoon myself. I watched as a nearby table's plates were served and observed several minutes elapse before they were given tableware with which to begin eating. It was cold outside and getting a working space heater took time, effort, and finally, masking tape. A beer arrived, but it was just that, not the IPA that had been ordered. While experiencing all of this, my party had observed two separate menu notations: First, a "5% Marin mandate" is added to all bills. A "mandate" is an official order and Marin County has no such mandate in effect. So prices are actually 5% higher than the stated menu price. The menu also mentioned a 20% service fee for parties of 6 or more. Though not unheard of for large parties, a 20% mandatory tip for poor-to-middling service felt egregious and while we waited for the silverware to materialize after those repeated requests it became somewhat of a sore subject amongst those at my table. Food arrived, colorful, mostly tasty, and ample in portion, but foreshadowed by the service issues we'd already experienced. We were thankful to see that the 20% service fee had not been included and we tipped well regardless so I guess this is my way of telling these folks: your service levels seriously impacted my enjoyment of your restaurant. With the cost of dining out at an all time high the expectation is that food and service should be worthy of the prices being paid. Giaco's missed the mark on this visit.

What an incredible dinner dining experience. The food and service were phenomenal. Appetizer of polenta fries was great. Caesar salad was incredible- one of the best Caesar dressings I've had, obviously house made. Beet salad also fantastic, and I don't typically like beets. Pork shank over polenta was a great entree- large serving and enough for me to have left overs. And finished with the tiramisu which was also great.

Had the most delicious huevos rancheros paired with a latte- by far the best in Marin! Friendly staff & quick service. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

If your love nature this is the place for you. We had outdoor seating which was amazing it wasn't to hot nor too cold. The service was pretty good and quick! The drinks definitely hit the spot and the food was pretty tasteful! Highly recommend this place ! Cute outdoor seating!

We had a wonderful dinner here yesterday. They had live music which was great. The food and service were excellent as well. Everything we ate from the burrata to arancini to the pork medallions to pizza to pot de creme was very good. We will come back if we are in the area for sure.

Arancini, so good. 2 mistakes: I wish I had taken a picture of the entire dish and I wish I could've added the delicious sauce on top.

They also have a patio outside, which is where we sat. It's super casual, relaxing, and quaint. We appreciate how dog-friendly they are and how kind the service is! Everyone who helped us was courteous and friendly, plus our food and drinks came out super fast. I got the Fish Tacos, and honestly they exceeded my expectations. I love how the tortilla was nice and crispy. The fish was well fried, and the taco had ample flavor. The portion was pretty solid for the price, and I left full. My friends enjoyed their appetizers and mains. We also got some drinks which were so delicious! I would love to come back here. Stillwater is a wonderful watering hole in Fairfax. With a wasabi and fennel infused vodka, it was too unique not to be curious about. Upon arriving and looking over the menu, SEVERAL cocktails stood out to me as intriguing to try. I started with the Wabi Sabi which was as interesting as it sounded. While I didn't pick up on fennel, you do pick up on the wasabi, but in the most subtle of ways. Think maybe lime/ginger sparkling water with just a hint of spice. Refreshing and different for sure. I also tried the Mucha Lucha w/ cilantro infused Siete Leguas Blanco, chorizo infused mezcal and cubes made of hot sauce that make the drink have a bit more of a kick as you allow them to melt. I did the HH chips and guac which was also accompanied with a tasty Chipotle sauce. Damn good actually. It'd be excellent served in a variety of ways. The deviled eggs aren't going to blow your mind, but I like that you get 4 different ones- and simply because I love eggs, I'd order them again. (They just wouldn't be a dish that brings me back). The bartender was great- helpful and attentive, even as more people began to filter in for an early afternoon. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Napa to check out some other menu options.

Wagyu skirt steak $38 (5/5): Akaushi beef, green beans, marble potatoes, spring onions, truffle butter & demi glace. The steak was incredibly tender, and the outer sear was peppered.
