This is what they call Chicken Marsala
Brian P.

Much better than last time. Same bartender. I got an old fashioned, first time I've seen someone shake an old fashioned. I had a pink bourbon dink. We were seated after a fairly accurate 30 min wait. Table by the window, the place is well decorated and fun space to be in. We rushed to get our order in before the team of 40 players that sat down just before us. I got the French Onion soup, cheese bread and shrimp Alfredo with broccoli (on Kallie's recommendation). The soup was good but had a strong taste of Worcestershire sauce. Cheese bread was absolutely Fabulous!!!! Whipped ricotta under melted mozzarella and parm. Good Alfredo served with it. The Alfredo had a slight scorched flavor but the broccoli and shrimp were perfectly cooked. The pasta was a perfect al dente. I found myself reaching for the salt and pepper. More cheese would have been nice. I'll definitely come back for the cheese bread. And her Lasagna was outstanding!!!! I would drive an hour to find lasagna like that. All in all a good redemption from the "chicken Marsala" I ordered last time. We will be back.

I came to Giannos by recommendation and to carb up the day before the race. I went up to the hostess stand and got seated, but after waiting ten minutes sitting at the table, no one had come to attend to me. I went back to the hostess stand to ask where my waitress was, and the manager came over and profusely apologized for the wait, then took my order herself. I got the bread, Caesar salad, and spaghetti with meatballs, and it was delicious. To be honest though, the entire meal was silly expensive for what it was. I remembered I paid over $40 without tip (of course, I always tip). Good thing I only came here once and never again. Anywho, the manager made up for some, but the restaurant could work on its affordability. As far as ambience goes, noise level was great. Generally quiet.

Fantastic all around. Our waiter was awesome. The service was professional and attentive. The food was fantastic. The calamari appetizer was devoured before I could even get a picture! The restaurant is is a nice comfortable Italian place. 100% will try it again.

We stopped in for the lunch buffet after seeing lots of social medial posts about it. We did order the hot chip nacho appetizer which was super delicious. I'll preface this by saying it was a later lunch, but the buffet wasn't an amazing as we had thought it would be. Maybe it would have been fresher and more stocked earlier in the lunch rush. The service was great as was the space. We'll definitely return and order from the menu next time.

Not a pizza aficionado by any means, but I thoroughly enjoy coming here for the pizza lunch buffet. Service is always very kind and attentive. Ambiance is that of a nice Italian restaurant. I think the pizzas great, there's always a lot of variety with the flavors and their dessert pizza isn't half bad either. The crust is on the thinner and crunchier side which is my personal preference. Vegetarian options available. Can't speak on any of the other dishes since I've only come here for the pizza lunch buffet, but I do like the pizza.

I ordered the lasagna and Caesar salad for dinner. I eagerly waited for it to be delivered by a door dasher. Unfortunately, I was very very disappointed. The lasagna just did not taste great. It was flat and not really layered or meaty. I requested a refund from DoorDash.

Went to an end of year luncheon for work today and tried manicotti for the first time. The manicotti comes out in a smaller dish but it was really good- I actually finished it at the restaurant. I ordered a side Caesar salad and limoncello cake to go. The servers were very efficient and kind. We enjoyed ourselves.

We walked in and it was a super busy Friday night, yet we were seated within 10 minutes. Loved that. The dining room is rather open so it was really loud with conversation, creating a nice buzz. They had two of my all time favorites so that's what I ordered. French Onion Soup and Manicotti. We choose the Cheese Bread for the appetizer. I have to say the bread was ok, would have been better if the bread had been toasted before adding the cheese, however the marinara was absolutely delicious. They timed everything to come to the table at various times so we had time to finish one course before starting the next. I was a little surprised by their prices, although not cheep but less expensive that I thought they might be. My dining partner got the Chicken Parm said it was delicious. Our bill was just over 60.00. I will definitely be dining here again.

I love this restaurant one of my favorites but last night I tried the roasted scallops dinner 32.00 and my scallops very cold couldn't eat it, very disappointed. Thank goodness for my French onion soup it was hot and delicious

My pasta was so flavorful! Really hit the spot and had enough to take home leftovers. The Italian sausage and shrimp in the penne el Greco was a nice combination! The waitress was nice and kept our drinks and bread basket full. Was a nice place to take our neighbors for a meal. The dining room has a cozy intimate feel with all the dark wood and low lighting. Too bad we didn't have any room to try a dessert...

Took friends out to dinner recently to thank them for their help ona. Project my wife and I were working on. They asked for Italian, and I suggested Giannos. It was their first time visiting and they were happy to try it. We arrived around 6, and were promptly seated. The waitress was friendly, halo full and quick to make a few suggestions. We placed our orders, I got the pasta carbonara, one of my favorite dishes. Food came out reasonably quickly, and tasted great! It was a bit on the greasier side than ost times I've gotten it, maybe due to the amount or quality of pork product used (?). But tasty nonetheless. The portions are generous especially considering then side salad, and there was some to take home for lunch. My only real complaint isitt seemed like as people arrived they kept seating them in the same area we were sitting in, rather than spreading them out. Unfortunately this meant it quickly became rather loud in the bar area and a bit hard to have a conversation But food and service were good, and I'd recommend this place over the chain pasta spots any day.

gnocchi with rib eye- gnocchi was more four then potatoes. Some even were missing the potatoes And what's with the flower ...: hot mess

I think it's super bland and dated personally and the prices are way too high. Salmon was inedible.

This was our first time at Giovanni's. We have been curious about it since moving to the area but…read moreit's never been open during the times we are driving by so I made reservations for a birthday dinner. Even though I had originally made the reservations for outdoor dining, the weather did not cooperate but it was not an issue and they had moved us inside per my reservation request. The hostess was very friendly and polite and we were seated immediately. Our server Denise came over quickly and was very friendly. Ste asked if we had been a guest before and offered some recommendations. She brought out some fresh baked bread with olive oil and balsamic for dipping - the bread was FANTASTIC! I ordered a Limoncello Martini and a bottle of Merlot, as well as the Burrata and Prosciutto appetizer. The appetizer went fabulously with the bread! The appetizer had a bit too much olive oil and balsamic in the bowl- just a drizzle if both would have been sufficient, especially with the little side plate of both that comes with the bread, but was still great! We then ordered the Lobster Ravioli and the Spaghetti alla Carbonara for our main dishes. The Lobster Ravioli had great flavor and had a good amount of lobster filling but WAY too much of the cream sauce. It could've had 1/3 of the sauce and been just as good if not better. The Spaghetti alla Carbonara was ok. Definitely NOT a traditional Carbonara. It was more of a Spaghetti Alfredo and again WAAAAYYYY too much sauce that was definitely more of an alfredo sauce than a traditional Italian Carbonara dish. I brought it home to add broccoli and chicken to the leftovers so not completely disappointed but wouldn't order it again. We also ordered the Key Lime Pie and Tiramisu desserts to go. The tiramisu was definitely not a traditional tiramisu as it had a heavy chocolate sauce/ganache on top rather than the traditional cocoa powder dusting but was ok. A tad on the thin/soggy side. Would probably not order this again either. I will say that the ambiance was great and the staff was so friendly! The appetizer and martini were so good that I will DEFINITELY be back for the appetizer, service and to give something else on the menu a shot. We are looking forward to hopefully being able to enjoy the outdoor dining next time and will definitely ask for Denise again.

Eeek not sure how one can mess up Italian cuisine. Pasta and sauce are always a win, but somehow…read morethis restaurant missed the mark big time. The ambiance is loud and chaotic. The service is terrible, and the food is even worse. There was a flimsy "room" divider covering some boxes they have in the middle of the dining area, the divider fell on top of a person that was dining right next to our table. The gentleman was injured and the server barely apologized and proceeded to pick up the divider and place it back up despite it being on the way and clearly flimsy. I ordered spaghetti carbonara and added a side of grilled chicken. This was the worse carbonara I've ever had, it was more like an Alfredo gone wrong. It was drenched in a heavy creamy sauce, inedible. The chicken was as dry as the desert, overcooked and flavorless. Service was extremely slow, inattentive and unfriendly. Save yourself the headache, you will be better off at McDonald's for 1/10th of the price.

We recently had a lunch time meeting at work and had pizza delivered from Rome. We order 7 pizzas…read morea few days in advance, 2 cheese, 2 pepperoni, and 3 meat lovers. With plenty of notice, this was no issue, and they were actually 20 minutes early making the delivery of a stack of hot pizza's to our office. We had minimal interaction with the staff, only the driver, who was friendly. The pizzas were all tasty, and as i mentioned delivered hot and ready to eat. They didn't skimp on toppings, especially for the meat lovers pizzas, they were loaded up. The crust wasn't anything that WOWed me though, it was soft, and thin, but lacked any real flavor. But any pizza is good pizza in my opinion. Their pricing was fair, and they delivered as scheduled!

Mixed bag is the best way I can describe the times I have had food from Rome Italian Pizza. I…read moreactually grew up in High Point, but had never eaten inside the actual restaurant until a week ago. That said, I have had pizzas either by take-out or delivery several times over what has to be 30 years now. Lately, I had a couple basic pizzas from them at a function in downtown, and we also stopped in for lunch on a total whim, wanting a pizza buffet. First, the pizzas over the years. I would say, on par with most of the locally owned pizza and local franchise spots around, like an Elizabeth's. Sometimes, I would describe the pizza as dry, other times, the sauce ratio is a little better and it is quite good. The pizza is a solid 4 stars, I would say, if you're considering a pizza... go for it, decide for yourself. Now, our most recent experience inside the restaurant, was simply not a positive one. We came in around 1pm, wanting to do the pizza buffet. Unfortunately, looking at what was available, it just wasn't appealing. The pizza was very cold, it needed a refresh. We expressed this to the waitress. If she had said "we'll make you a fresh pizza of whichever type you want" we'd have been game. That's not the response we got, so we moved on to hot subs. I ordered the meatball sub, my wife ordered chicken parm. The meatball was, just ok. The meatballs themselves were sliced and warm, sauce was the same I was used to from the pizza, cheese could have used more time to melt, but overall... I was OK. Her sandwich, was not good at all. She did write her own review about it, and I happen to agree. It's generally expected that ordering a chicken parm sandwich at an italian pizzeria is going to be a breaded cutlet. What was given was the shaved chicken that you would normally see if someone orders chicken on a pizza (not my thing, but to each their own). The result was very very dry chicken. The sandwich sat on her plate with two bites taken out of it for the meal duration. No prompt was given for whether we enjoyed our meal. In all, I learned my lesson that day, that this place is good for a fresh pizza. I'll only go that route in the future. The sandwiches were simply not our preference. The chicken parm needs to be rethought, or better explained as shaved chicken.
