Went with 2 kids for lunch while we were staying overnight locally. AMAZING lunch options and everyone was happy. Prices were very good and the taste can't be beat! Legit feel the bread was the best I've ever tasted.

This place has the BEST garlic knots! They are good size, soft inside, lots of butter/garlic for the bread as well as dipping sauce. Their pasta dishes are also great. The staff is friendly and provides great service.

Hidden gem alert! This place may be out on the very southern edge of Winston-Salem, but that should not stop you from dropping in for a bite to eat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Vinnie's has big flavors, reasonable prices, good service, and is a pretty comfortable place to eat in or take out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ended up here out of a desire to try something new, but also because my wife has been hangry for a proper chicken parm sandwich for weeks now. We tried to satiate that craving somewhere else, and it was unfortunately about the worst chicken parm sandwich either one of us had ever seen or tasted. I took to Yelp, scouring for an Italian place doing it right. Properly breaded chicken cutlet, plenty of mozzarella cheese, adorned with a wonderful sauce on some light airy bread. Man, did we ever find it! Another thing we saw when deciding what to order ahead of time were the garlic knots. They looked like perfection, so we had to start our meal out with those, even though that pushed our meal into carb overload territory. Well, now we won't go back without ordering them. These might have been the best garlic knots I have ever been served. Lots of robust garlic flavor, golden buttery outside sprinkled with parm, inside texture could not have been better... cooked just past the point of being dough. There were 10 to an order. We ate them all, even though we didn't intend to. They were just too good. My sandwich was also excellent, the "Chicken Vinnie's" panini. Grilled chicken with a balsamic glaze, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella on perfectly pressed sandwich bread. The chicken was tender and juicy, there was plenty of mozz and red peppers, and the acidic touches of the balsamic tied it all together. I got mine with onion rings for a slight upcharge, even they were excellent! To tell the truth, since A Slice of Napoli closed, I have not successfully found a true replacement for their casual Italian fare. There are a few good Italian restaurants in our area, but all are geared toward dinner. Replacing their combination of taste and value had proved almost impossible. I have finally found it again in Vinnie's, and I don't care that it's a bit out of the way... we'll be back!

I have been wanting to try this place out since moving to the area and WOW, it was definitely worth the wait! We had appetizers and drinks this time but will definitely be back for more as the pizza looked so delicious. We had their famous garlic knots and the calamari and both were so tasty and cooked to perfection. Service was good as the place was super busy, she didn't miss a beat.

Hi! Still a vinnie's stan over here. Their house dressing is so good and I love the variety of pasta dishes they offer. I've yet to try their pizza but apparently that's something they're known for so I'll try to do better and try it soon. It's just so hard to break away from the pasta dishes. My husband loves their hoagies/subs!

Our server, Connie was excellent and the young man helping her was on his game always make sure we're drinks were full just pure outstanding service! now let's get to the appetizers they were absolutely delicious. We had to bruschetta came to the table. Quick was delicious. The main course had the cheese raviolis and added some shrimp. The sauce was delicious and gravy always were excellent. My wife had shrimp and scalp, scallops and white wine sauce excellent with lots of vegetables. We definitely will return to this restaurant. I forgot to mention their salads are excellent. They're Italian dressing is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend you try this restaurant. I guarantee you'll wanna go back.!

This was the second time we've gone to eat at Vinnie's. Food was delicious!! You can tell the pastas are done by skilled people and both times it's been amazing. The service was great, food came at a reasonable time, just enough time for me to finish my salad. They seem to have specials daily that are not in the menu which is a nice surprise.

    Arancini - rice balls w/peas - amazing!

This is a great local restaurant, we haven't been for awhile so stopped in for early dinner. The server, Kaitlynn remembered us & was attentive through our meal. She suggested the daily special app, Arancini Balls so we tried them & ordered a large supreme pizza. The Arancini was exceptional! Best we have ever had. Pizza came out at perfect time & delicious! We definitely took home leftovers as the pizza was huge! Staff are always friendly, food is consistent good & becoming one of our faves!

Vinnie's is the neighborhood, locally owned Italian restaurant we all wish to have near us (a couple of steps above the food and overall experience offered by the late Slice of Napoli, off Country Club Rd)- good food, good service, much conversation in Italian comes from the kitchen (some of which is loud), of which we understand none, and there is always Italian music playing at a moderate+ level. I have tried many items on the very varied menu and can definitely recommend: any of the pizza choices, the 2 slice pizza daily special - the slices are huge, Linguine with Clam Sauce, Stromboli Classico, Italian Sub, the complementary Italian bread with pesto served with pasta dishes, pasta with Meat Sauce, the Marinara Sauce, and more. And they offer Peroni on draft - 20 oz for $5.95!! The service is very good, and they appreciate your business. Come and Ciao Down!

This does mean that there is a large outdoor courtyard where you can eat a pizza which is shared with other local businesses. It was busy, and I was concerned that I had erred by not ordering in advance, but my pizza was ready quickly. Like, remarkably quickly; I just ordered, hopped over to the bathroom, and it was done within a couple of minutes of being back. And when it's done properly, a Neapolitan pizza does not take very long to cook, so clearly the operation leading up to that point is efficient. Substantively, the menu has pizzas, a couple of salads, and some dessert options. I indulge in all of the above. The salad I got is quite impressive and is too much for one person at one time. It is an interesting mix of ingredients with nuts, blueberries, and apricot dressing. I am always a tad reluctant to order a white pizza because I like the tomato sauce so much, but the onions and mushrooms on the one I got were suitably mouthwatering. There was a bit of char on this pizza although I could have used more being the char fan that I am. Their version of tiramisu is a cake slice which is quite heavy on the sweet cheese. The vegan options are basically limited to getting a pizza without cheese, which I'm sure is some good bread and tomato sauce but not much of a meal; typical of most Italian places.

The customer service was great everyone was friendly, welcoming, and laid-back, which made for a great experience. This was honestly one of the best slices of pizza I've had in a while! The crust wasn't too thick or too thin, it was just right. Everything was incredibly fresh and served piping hot, and my pizza came out in about seven minutes after ordering. I'm not sure if they season or marinate the spinach, but it was absolutely delicious and added so much flavor! The prices are very reasonable and affordable, especially for the quality of the food. I'll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend!

Unfortunately, the new staff could use some improvement. They used to have a very pleasant young lady working the register, but the current employees have made the experience much less enjoyable. I'm not sure if the young man and young woman working there now are the owner's kids helping out for the summer, but if they are, they need more customer service training. The young man, in particular, always seems to have an attitude and often cuts customers off while they're speaking. During my last visit, he nearly dropped my bag of food while handing it through the drive-thru window. I tried to ask for ketchup when he slammed the window when he reopened after I knocked on I ordered three meals with fries, and he came back with only two ketchup packets. The food is definitely worth trying, but be prepared for customer service that can make you feel like they're doing you a favor.

Always on the quest to try new things, this was our lunch time stop once day while out and about. It was a beautiful sunny day, and I appreciated that there were outside seating options. There were both exposed and shaded areas, plus plenty of indoor seating. The whole thing their brand revolves around is a large wood-fired oven, and you can see this prominently when you walk in the door. The subtle smoky smell really adds to the atmosphere and makes you hungry right away. We came during lunch time, so we took advance of their lunch specials, where you get a half serving of a pizza plus another item (we both opted for wings as the other item.) I opted for the 4X4 pizza (4 meats) and the Garlic Rosemary wings, while my wife got the Bronx Bomber pizza and buffalo wings. On both sides, the wings were delicious in an unexpected way, grilled but with a nice char, and full of meat. The seasonings on both were just right, and I didn't even bother dipping mine in any dressing. The 4x4 pizza was quite greasy, with oil dripping off when you pick it up. I used a bunch of napkins to blot what I could off, but the amount of grease got in the way of enjoying the flavor. To be fair, it is on an olive oil base, but when you combine that with all the intrinsic fat of the processed meats, it was too much. The Bronx Bomber, however, was much better. With spicy Italian sausage, prosciutto, mozzarella, Gorgonzola, and topped with fresh oregano, it was flavorful but balanced, and good to the last bite. The server we had, who's name escapes me, was very friendly, attentive, and made helpful suggestions. I'd certainly come back here another day for lunch, though I would pass on the 4x4 Pizza next time.
