I met three other people for dinner on a Friday night. I arrived early and it was tough to find a seat at the bar. But I eventually got one and I was given two beer samples. Reasonable prices for the drinks too. They had numerous TVs in the bar area tuned to various games and sports networks. For dinner, I had the 16 inch Ramble on Rose pizza with vodka sauce base, sausage, spinach, baby bellas, caramelized onions, mozzarella, ricotta & parmesan cheese, and rosemary (although I omitted the ricotta). I was quite pleased, the NY Style crust was a good quality and wasn't too thick or too thin. The ingredients were all well proportioned as well. This is a super cool space with music-themed everything. Everything on the menu is named for a song, and there is artist and band decor everywhere. I love when businesses really dive into their themes. The loaded fries were delicious. Including both solid (shredded cheddar) and liquid (white queso) cheese in one dish is a genius touch. I can't believe I've never thought to do that before. We paid to add fresh jalapeños to it, which added a nice fresh and spicy kick. Other than that, this was not a good experience. I did not enjoy the pizza, and the service was practically non-existent. Our server was nowhere to be found for the first 10 minutes or so, and then failed to bring drinks for several minutes after that. And it was not busy in there at all -- lots of open tables, and plenty of staff standing around. After delivering drinks and taking our order, he did not come back. We saw him walking around in other parts of the dining room, but he did not check on us. Several minutes after finishing our drinks, no refill in sight, we flagged him down and asked for a refill, which he brought. At this point, someone else had already delivered our food, and we were well into our meal. After bringing the one drink refill, we did not see him again until we asked for the check. The pizza was pretty dry, and did not come with vodka sauce as advertised. It was a red sauce not-so-thoroughly-mixed with Alfredo. I actually don't think they mixed them at all prior to putting it on the crust -- there were quite a few unmixed pockets, so I think they dolloped both on and swirled it around. I'm sure this does achieve a vodka-like flavor if executed correctly, but that was not the case here. Vodka sauce is typically silkier, more acidic, and far less sweet than this was. I didn't really like the red sauce at all here, and would definitely not order it (or their so-called vodka sauce) again. More salt/garlic would help, but I'd probably go with another base entirely, if I were to come back. In all, this is a great place to come if you're super into music, like appetizers, don't plan on eating pizza, and want to tip an aloof teenager for doing absolutely nothing. read more

We've been going to Blue Rock for a couple years now and really enjoy it. We more often go to their other location nearer to Greensboro but whenever we're is high point this one is always on our short list for where to eat. The pizza is very good, especially the gluten free which uses an udi crust. The kids really love the nuggets and fries as well and on Monday's they have a discount deal for kids which is a super savings. read more

It took 15 minutes to get drinks, and I didn't see a refill until after our food arrived. We stopped into Blue Rock Pizza on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Grabbed seats at the bar seating area. Pretty packed for Saturday around 530. Great call. Nice selection of IPAs and other drinks at the bar. We had the Boss and the Peace Train. The pizza is outstanding! The Boss is really good--sausage along with the crust make this a must eat option. The bar staff did a great job of checking in with us during our time there. Well run team. Between the beer selection, bar seating vibe, and top-notch pizza, this is an easy spot to come back to. Our first time here and we were expected to wait 30 minutes but only had to wait maybe 5. We started off with the meatball as an appetizer and opted for the regular marinara sauce with a side of the spicy sauce which is what it usually comes in. So glad we did! The spicy is spicin'! lol meatball are delicious! PERFECT for spaghetti and meatballs. We were pleased to know we could order a half and half pizza and could substitute toppings. The only downside so far was asking for something (water, plates) and it taking a long time to get it. Went to Blue Rock Pizza on Saturday evening. We get a table immediately but then we don't see our server for about 10 minutes. She takes our order but we don't get our salads for 30 minutes and when we get our salads we don't have any utensils or napkins. Finally I have to go find our server to get these items. We wait patiently for our pizza that never arrives, it has been an hour and I have to leave without eating the pizza I ordered. The manager is not even apologetic and has an attitude. The parking was a bit hard at the time I went. I parked on the side of the laundry place beside it. I walked in and immediately greeted. It took only about 2-3 min to be seated. It's a cool place. This is such a cute shop to come to. Their menu items are based on rock and roll musics which is very clever, and the environment gives you a old time diner feel with amazing service. This is our go to when we're not sure what we want to eat. Only downside is somehow, something is always lacking. Usually, it's the service, but the food makes up for it! I'm not sure what was going on Sunday, but the service and the app were not up to par. The bartender let us know she had to cash someone out and she'd get our food order. Apparently she thought the other bartender got our order (despite our menus still being in front of us), so it took awhile to get our food order. Our cheese fries came out overcooked, heavy on the scallions and light on the bacon. The bar manager seems aware as she was at the end of the bar muttering about how the kitchen couldn't figure out how to cook french fries. Luckily, our pizzas came out great, so the visit was worth it! We always opt for the bar side. It's quiet and the TVs are usually tuned to something we want to watch. We know if they're not, the bartenders will change it for us! This past visit will not deter us from returning, as nothing has as of yet, but we may venture out and try the Kernersville location next visit, just to see if it's worth the extra drive for a better experience. read more

I ordered the honey pie which is found in the olive oil section (they have red sauces, pestos and white sauce pizzas as well), so the honey pie is thin crust with Olive oil, chicken, applewood-smoked bacon, jalapenos, cinnamon-roasted butternut squash, brie, and orange blossom honey and it's heavenly! My husband really appreciates that the toppings are finely chopped and abundant on the pizza. They have several specialty pizzas and some are a bit edgy and unexpected. So I thought I'd reviewed it before but we went back today with the kiddos and it did not disappoint. Not a single item was less than. Wings perfectly cooked and sauced, pepperoni pizza, everyone had a slice and it was delicious. My boyfriend said his buffalo soldier wrap was by far the best buffalo chicken wrap he's ever had (almost didn't get it because of the blue cheese and mango, it was the chef's kiss addition). Last but not least the $4 NC drafts were perfectly poured and delivered with the best service. I've been going to Blue Rock for years and have had pretty good luck with most of our meals. We started getting the nachos about a year ago and they're good but they put minimal toppings on a giant plate of chips. It was tasty enough to order them again but they've started putting less each time we go. Today, there was a dribble of cheese and the meat was almost nonexistent. We requested more cheese and they obliged, however when I asked about the meat, I was told they measure it out and I would have to pay extra for what they failed to include in the first place. The waitress couldn't care less that our meal was a total waste of money or that we were unhappy. I wasn't surprised because the waitress was terrible. She took our order and never came back. I had to hunt her down when we needed refills, ask about our food, and even pay. I could have walked out the door without paying because she paid zero attention to our table. It's not the first time the service has been subpar but today was outrageous. As much as I love the Baja loco salad, which is the main reason I go, I'm not sure if I'll ever go back based on today's experience.
