Came here and sat at the bar. Although, there was a tornado warning, the restaurant was pretty full (lol). Not sure if that's a good thing or not... Anyhow, I ordered the hamburger steak with onions and gravy with a loaded baked potato and a house salad. They serve complimentary bread, but I asked for mine to be brought out with my meal. My husband found this restaurant after a not so good time at Olive Garden. Location entrance is a little rough but not too bad, lots of parking. The interior is a little dated but can be expected made it more mom and pop feel. We were sat down very quickly and got breadsticks to our table. They were very hot and fresh. My daughter loved them. Would definitely go better with some type of sauce/oil on the side but I'm sure the breadsticks are there not as an appetizer but more for your meal. Our waitress was super friendly and personable, she was very attentive and we got our order in fairly quickly. We ordered chicken parm, spinach ravioli, kids spaghetti, medium cheese pizza and puttanesca. And ordered the chocolate mousse cake and some cannoli's. We also got two salads and a potato soup. Ranch was good, very homemade taste. My husband loved the potato soup. He said it was the best soup he's ever had. Salad was just greens, cheese and tomatoes so nothing too fancy, Our food came fairly quickly and everyone who came to our table was very friendly. The chicken parm was really good, this dish was not lacking any seasoning. The chicken size was half the plate and the spaghetti portion was smaller than the chicken but overall really good. My son ate his spaghetti so fast and ate 5 slices of cheese pizza said it was soo good. I did have a slice of pizza and it seemed a bit more oily in the middle but that's not a big deal just dab with a napkin, it's thinner pizza and crust was a little burnt. But the pizza is the quality I like and I'm sure if I ordered a pizza I wanted vs what my kids wanted I'd be much happier. Super excited to try a margarita pizza next. My daughter had a little bit of everything, spinach ravioli, cheese pizza, breadsticks. She wanted more and more of the ravioli. My husband enjoyed both his dishes the ravioli and puttanesca. He really enjoyed how the capers made the dish taste. Both these dishes did not have any meat. My husband said he hopes you don't think he's a vegetarian he just really enjoys a well made sauce, which he got here. I tried some of the ravioli and the sauce was good maybe lacking salt but the filling inside was good. I didn't know that it was actually spinach ravioli I thought it was just in the filling. But overall had good flavor and went well together. Our dessert came and both kids loved them. I really enjoyed the mousse cake made a perfect slice of cake for my birthday. It is more towards a dark chocolate vibe and I love dark chocolate so if you're expecting something really sweet it's probably not for you but they do have many many other options of desserts. The limoncello looked really good but my husband never had a cannoli before. I've never been a big fan of cannolis so I wasn't too fond of it but my husband and son loved it, my daughter was indifferent. She wanted the mousse just like me hahah. Overall, the amount of food you get for the price is consistent it's not overly portioned and not under portioned. I didn't take pictures this time because we were so hungry. But the dishes looked good, weren't messy and didn't seem out of place from an Italian restaurant. Service was great from the front of house, table side and those bringing food and bussing tables. Very attentive. Food quality was great some dishes lacked a little seasoning but overall it was 9/10 for my taste but my children and husband say it was 12/10. Very poor experience. As a native of Burlington, I love when a local restaurant can be successful. I finally decided to give this place a try since I am in town 4 nights out of the year Received a ton of food in one tiny plastic bag that was barely able to be tied at the top. Waited for five minutes for someone to tell me that they could not provide the hard cider that I ordered online. Telling me that it did not come in a bottle or can. Then they told me they could not refund me and could only provide me a gift card. That to me seems silly considering I don't live in this town anymore. So after them basically telling me I was out six dollars, I asked do you have canned sodas. Yes they tell me they're 299. I say give me two please. What do you think they come out with sodas in cups. Not in the can that I ask about. Had to ask for a second bag and that seemed to be the biggest trouble in the world because I knew that I could not get a pizza, a bag that was barely tied and two sodas out to my car. I hope that this is a better experience when you actually dine in, but I will not be picking up to go food from here ever again. I mean I know they're college kids but to just look at someone like they're crazy cause they expect the product or their money is ridiculous. read more

This was my second time trying Mosca's and I decided to order take-out. I ordered a chicken caesar wrap with fries for lunch online through their website to be picked up as soon as possible (25 minutes). I drove to the restaurant and told the host I had a pick-up order. I gave him my name and he immediately got it from the kitchen. Everything was ready on time and I paid online. Once again, the food was really good! I loved that the tortilla of the wrap was grilled so it held everything together nicely. The fries were perfectly crisp. It was a lot of food, so it made two meals for me. Delicious the bread was a bit tough, service was quick and food was absolutely delicious. I order the shrimp scampi my son ordered the ravioli, aloe vodka, and his friend ordered the shrimp Albaca. All of it was hot fresh and delicious. Also ordered a appetizer of calamari. Taste good. I'm just not a fan. Restaurant was a little bit dated but the food and was very delicious. This small locally owned and operated restaurant that specializes in Italian cuisine is located in one of the numerous shopping centers that is S. Main Street. They've been around since 2012, moving to this location when more space was needed, and they continue to serve some of the best comfort food, Italian style, in the Burlington area! The interesting aspect of the ownership is that the chef/owner,Guillermo Mendez, is a native of Costa Rica who has been preparing Italian dishes for over 20 years! Mosca, which means fly, is Guillermo's nickname. On my last visit, I had the a house salad with great bread and house made dressing, Fried Calamari, and finished up with one of my very favorite dishes, Linguine with White Clam Sauce. Our first time dining here since the pandemic. Our server/bartender was very nice, attentive and helpful. The bread sticks were hot and delicious. We were here around 4:30 in the afternoon. There were less than 5 other people in the restaurant. We ordered the Salmon Rockefeller. Mine with a baked potato and mixed veggies, my husband's with a baked potato and green beans. We waited 30+ minutes for our food. When it arrived, the salmon was very good and a nice size. The potato and veggies were almost cold! The butter wouldn't melt on the potato. I went here with a small group of people for dinner, on a weekday. Our server was courteous and responsive. The decor was no-frills, but reasonably pleasant. I ordered the baked ziti, which seemed like a safe choice. It looked good on arrival, but the tomato sauce was considerably chunkier than in other baked zitis I've had. The flavor of the sauce also seemed very concentrated and inconsistent. The mozzarella was okay, the ricotta was decent, and the pasta itself seemed like the best part. My companions seemed to enjoy their food without complaint. I might consider going again, but for obvious reasons, would probably avoid the tomato sauce. read more

We were meeting up for lunch with a friend and needed to find someplace halfway for the both of us. After looking on Yelp and Mousca's menu it looked like just the place for us. It's got a good deal of choices for lunch that's even offered on Saturday's and most are under $10, which in my book is a major find, especially these days! Our waiter couldn't have been more welcoming and kind. He kept good tabs on us throughout, especially since we were here for more than a couple hours since we hadn't seen our friend for sometime and had major catching up to do!! The complimentary breadsticks were tasty and sizeable. My spouse had angel hair with marinara that she enjoyed and our friend had a wrap so big she brought half home. I had the eggplant parm with a side of spaghetti and it was wonderful. The portion of eggplant was so huge that I took more than half of it home. The side salad was just the right size too. The food was very good however I felt the lunch portions were rather small for price. My lasagna was about 2.5" square although was in a lg dish with plenty of sauce. Same with the baked ziti. Dish not even half full. Ordered two different cakes and those portions were also small compared to other restaurants of same price range. We had takeout today from Mosca's. The woman who took my order was very friendly. The food was ready in a timely fashion. Everything we ordered was delicious. Our youngest son loves the spinach ravioli. The triple Italy was delicious. Salads were small and not the freshest, but all of the delicious pasta made up for it easily.
