I am very impressed by this little deli. I came in at 3:30 (me just not thinking about looking at the times on the door) and after I realized they were closed they were so friendly and kind, they told me they could make me something, customer service was excellent! I got the ham and swiss and goodness it was so fresh and delicious!! They ham was sliced so thin but piled high (which makes it taste 10x better for some reason) the bread and veggies were so fresh, and the cheese was also cut a little thicker to add the right amount to the taste. My wife and I stopped in for sandwiches a couple days ago. This was our first time there and I honestly couldn't be more impressed. The service was beyond friendly and welcoming. I actually walked in a few minutes before their closing time and asked if it were ok for me to order. They seemed shocked I would even ask and welcomed me to take my time. My wife had the roast beef and I had the Italian sub. These were by far the best deli sandwiches we have ever had. Certainly the best in the area. They are HUGE sandwiches that are packed with meat! They were neatly made and tasted incredible. They offer a combo for $8.75 that includes chips and a drink, and for the quality, you just can't beat it. First let me guess that at some point the name changed... The storefront says Giagnorio's Deli! Anyway, had the special of the day a caprese! It was absolutely delicious! To die for! Pasta fagioli tasted a little like spaghettios... So I don't think I'd get that again. I may try another soup a different day. My fiancé came across this place the other day... Once I realized this place was here, I've been a fan ever since. Luckily, through conversation with the owner and chef sandwich maker, also turned me on to some of the best pizza ever ...Gionario in Winfield. I always get the special sandwich of the day, and it is always yummy. My fiancee loves the veggie wrap. ..and when we are feeling naughty, we will grab some pie, brownie or lemon bar which is the best around. She also supplies these treats to the pizza joint, so we can grab them there too! I've also grabbed their scratch made pesto, which is a generous amount for the price, when I an feeling lazy enough to not make some myself : ). read more

Love this place for a quick lunch. The sandwiches are all great (they better be for 7 bucks!) they have good soups too, and have frozen entrees to buy as well. I've had the lasagna rolls which were good, and come with garlic bread. I took one star off for the wait time. I know they make everything from scratch but it always seems to feel a bit longer than necessary for a sandwich. read more

Stopped in to pick up takeout. Chicken wild rice soup was delicious and full of shredded chicken. The sandwiches contained a hearty portion of meat and the bread was very fresh. Will definitely go back when in the mood for a sandwich. read more

I love Gianorio's Deli so much! They have the best sandwiches, soups and desserts. Their lasagna soup tastes like the best lasagna ever. Their sandwiches are excellent and so is the bread. The desserts are amazing! I love the banana cream pie, the coconut cream pie, the carrot cake and their brownies. I haven't tried the other desserts yet but I will. Plus they have the best pizza. The people who work at the restaurant are very helpful and always so nice. This is one place you have to check out because they do it up right! read more

Just wanted to "Thank" Giagnorio's Deli for such amazing service and food!! I recently placed a big order with them for our football team during the USA Football 7on7 Tournament the dates of June 29th and 30th. The sandwiches were all individually wrapped and labeled all according to the order I placed. Heard about the delicious food here from friends, so I looked them up. Their hours are all stated as 11-3pm on weekdays. I drove out on a Tuesday at noon, only to find large "CLOSED" signs on their doors, despite the signage next to the closed sign saying they're open until 3. read more

We used them to cater a large event and they were fantastic! Their sandwiches and wraps were so delicious that we decided to go there for lunch but found that they were closed! They have very limited hours so you need to check social media to see when they will be open. Bummer drag, wish they were open more often because we would be going all the time! read more

I used to like the sandwiches at that freaky fast place until I tried Gianorio's Downtown Deli in Winfield. EVERYTHING they make, sandwiches, soups and desserts are of the very highest quality. The breads for the sandwiches are amazing. I'm a big fan of the Italian and the daily sandwich special never fails to please. It's worth going a little out of your way to find this delightful place. And, to top it off, prices are extremely reasonable. I think I'll go there today!! read more

This a great little place to grab lunch. I check their Facebook page daily to see the specials. It's no fast food joint (especially at the lunch hour) but for homemade quality food I don't mind the wait. Fresh food and always a flavor party in my mouth. Will reccomend to others! read more

Some people seem to really like this place but I think it is overpriced for sub sandwiches and I don't like the bread that they use. It is very flaky and makes a huge mess. Overpriced food and a messy product are not things I would want to do again. But many people seem to like the place. You're paying $10-15 for a 6 inch sub with chips... there are so many better options. read more

first of all, you would drive by this place had someone not taken you. Its looks like a house, some parking on the street, but better bet in the back. walk in, grab a menu and line up. food selection is fine for lunch and let me tell you the sandwiches are large and very tastey! I have only been there for lunch, but I am told the dinners are fantastic as well. You can call and order dinner to go, and take it with you on the way home for a nice warm home cooked meal. They also have on premises frozen pizza to take. Price is reasonable too! read more

Really amazing sandwiches. My son and I had lunch there recently and the subs were fresh, with vibrant flavors and made to order. The take and make pizza and pasta from its sister business (gianoro's) are just the icing on the cake. I just wish they were open nights and weekends. read more

I really think Gianorio's Downtown is fantastic. The food is delicious and it is very well priced. The owner is so sweet and seems to work tirelessly. I do hope they get additional help in there so they might consider longer hours/saturday hours. I know this is a bit of a catch 22. They are building a business, and while you do that you need to work with a smaller crew until you are big enough to justify the expense, but I think they might be doing so well already they should consider. I don't know. Heck, I just want more opportunities to buy my tuna sandwich and get a treat from their AMAZING assortment of goodies. I love this business and am glad to see them in my little town providing wonderful food at such reasonable prices. read more

Had the Italian sub and a chocolate chip cookie. It was delicious! The bread was good, the red onions were sliced deli thin, and added flavor without being overpowering. It was a little hard to eat because the bread had a chewy crust but it was worth the effort. The cookie was crisp, but not dry, and filled with chocolate chips. My wife had a salad along with a half sandwich. Fresh veggies and good romaine lettuce. Cost about $10 a person. Will eat here again. read more

I'm a huge BLT fan, so when we went to Gianorio's Deli and the special sandwich of the day was the BLT on a toasted pretzel roll, I HAD to get it. This sandwich was HUGE and DELICIOUS. I ate every bite. The bacon was nice and crisp, and the lettuce and tomato tasted fresh. My fiance had some sort of roast beef sandwich and let me take a bite. The beef was deliciously tender. Great little sandwich shop , the three most important things in sandwich making is Fresh ,Fresh , Fresh ! The cute little gal of Italian Decent, is so busy putting her heart and soul into preparing your Freshly made to order sandwich. She hardly has time to look up and say hi . Vicki works her tail off trying to satisfy everyone's craving . Salads are pre-made , still fresh and delicious. I recommend trying all of them . Deserts , homemade ,she must bake all night long . Banana cream pie - big , could satisfy a few . Want a bottle of beer with your lunch ? 3 $ bucks ! Prices on everything are very reasonable . Specials every day , check the website . Today was the grand opening of this little deli in downtown Winfield. TONS of people showed up. They had mini sandwiches, desserts, pop, and chips to try. I liked the mini sandwich so much I bought a full-sized one, which was very good. It is not very big inside and got very crowded very quickly. They had cotton candy and popcorn for the kids, a balloon artist and some guy with turtles, snakes and an alligator outside doing a show. All free! My kids had a blast, I got a good lunch! They also have a small little patio out back to eat at. I'd go back on a less crowded day. I wish they were open on the weekends though.....I have a feeling I will be craving a deli sandwich again very soon.....they are open 11-6 Monday-Friday. read more

At first I loved this place. I think their food is delicious. Definitely the best deli I have ever had. I only rate it a 4 because of the inconvenience of their hours. I will now work M-F in aurora so there is no way I'd be able to eat here anymore. I wish they were open on the weekends because I would definitely go more often. read more
