The business is locally owned and operated and the store is neat, clean and organized. Shelves are generally well stocked and employees are super friendly and helpful. Product quality is very good and the prices are very reasonable. This freestanding store has its own private parking lot which is clean and free of debris. The large lot surround three sides of the building and is more than adequate for the business. The store is located on the corner of Market Avenue NE and Sunnyside Street SW in Hartville. There are two access points from Sunnyside Street so getting in our out of the property is easy and convenient. I moved away from this area many years ago but when I come back I appreciate being able to find so many of the local products I love at Sommers Discount Market.

He mentioned a discount card program that could help me get a better price. He told me what website to go through and walked me step by step through the process. Got my medication discounted. It was extremely beneficial to me. The next day I went to pick it up. Very pleasant experience. I was greeted and assisted. Zach actually took me to a private area to assist me I all the info necessary in administering my medication. He took his time, answering all my questions and gave me a step by step presentation. I've never ever had this type of pharmacist go out of their way for me like that. It's been unbelievable. I left there feeling like the only customer Zach had. Exceptional service. Exceptional experience and I will tell everyone I know that pharmacies like those back in the day, do still exist. I transferred my prescriptions from the big box stores to Davies. So glad I did. Most recently, needed a pill splitter and knew they'd have a good one. Not only did the staffer select one based on the size and type of pill, he checked with the pharmacist because he thought the medication came in the smaller size (no need to split). It is. Might seem a small thing, but I'm disabled, so any extra steps to do things are hard. Also, the front counter clerk was dressed for Halloween and looked fabulous. So nice to come into the store sad about health problems, and encounter two people who are so dedicated, helpful, and authentic. What was pretty cool about this place was there is a side street on the other side of the store and there's a street light on the other side. So random traffic may come by in the parking lot. The items in the Shelf are not well stocked at all. If you pull an item from let's say a shelf. They will not be more of that either behind. The shelves just looks like it's filled. The self-checkout machines are awful. They constantly tell you to do something you've done already,…read moreto not remove the bag/s from the bagging area even if the bagging area has zero room left, and various other commands that do not make sense. There is supposed to be an attendant, but the attendant is not always available to constantly deal with the machine. One manager I spoke to, who was running a conventional register, acted put out that I was complaining about this. I've experienced this now several times so if there is long lines at the conventional registers I will just move on out of the store and shop elsewhere. In fact if there are lines at the conventional checkouts when you arrive, my advice is to turn around and head elsewhere.

I live 10 miles away from this pharmacy in Louisville but I still make the drive for the no hassle experience.
