    sound bar

Be careful when you buy. I had a fantastic experience with the Sales team. Both gentlemen were responsive and knowledgeable. I purchased a 37ft Forest River 5th wheeler. After I brought it home, I noticed that the Yamaha sound bar was missing. This is where the fun began. I had to repeatedly call, text to follow-up on getting the device. The sale manager was worthless, said he was there to help but never contacted me unless he was replying to me. Ater 2 months, I finally had to call Forest River myself and talked to them, they said this is easy just have them submit for a replacement I explained it was not so easy. This is where something finally happened because it was sent to Giant RV. Giant RV never contacted me to say it was in, I had to call back to Forest River, and they told me it was and I could go pick it up. My recommendation is to check and double check everything before you leave, don't get caught up in them explaining how to do everything, Google is free and it will save you time and frustration if you find they left a product out. I love my 5th wheeler and I am happy I bought it, but GIANT RV is horrible with follow through after you sign the docs.

Hello Everyone, My experience dealing with Giant RV in Colton was pretty positive. I did my research on RV's before I bought one so I knew what I was getting myself into to specially being our first RV. The whole process of buying the RV was pretty smooth from viewing, financing and delivery. I did get a chance to go over the RV before I took it home to make sure everything worked. We have since taken it out for our first camping trip to test everything out and everything went good no issues at all, only regret was that I should I got a bigger travel trailer. Just in case your curious we purchased the 2024 Winnebago Access 26BH. One comment I would like to add, if your expecting things to be perfect and your not handy with fixing little things I honestly would not buy one.

2024 Alliance paradigm 395ds fifth wheel trailer

The service department is a joke. If I could give the sales team and finance team a 5 stars I would. Purchased late September early October of 2024 My experience here was great at first when coming to look at fifth wheel rv's. Sale team and finance were great. We loved the Alliance Paradigm 395ds model and made our purchase. A few small details inside and out of the Rv such as damaged paint on the door and moldings inside the Rv along with a broken screw head on one of the slide outs. We stated we wanted those things fixed prior to us picking the Rv up and was told it would be taken care of. Sure enough that didn't happen. We then picked up the Rv and noticed they weren't after being promised they would. Being aesthetic we were told to bring it back for service to get that repaired anytime. When we got to the site of where the Rv would stay we took a look inside and started to clean. Then noticed the bathroom in the back was used and what seemed to be someone's throw up or #2 was partially left in there. So much for cleaning the Rv before you pickup.. Fast forward to setting the trailer up at our site, we noticed 4 water leaks.. 2 months in. Those were our main concerns along side 10+ other issues. Fast forward to February 1st when we decided to bring it in for the concerns mentioned. We dropped it off and they had it for a month and a half. They claimed to fix all the concerns and were not able to duplicate some and 1 of the leaks even though we have multiple videos of it actively leaking. Upon picking up I was reassured that all the concerns for the exception of those with parts not in stock were fixed. Aside of that the outside paint of the coach on the slide out was damaged while they repaired it, and the inside of the Rv filthy. Now (03/22/25) exactly a week from when I picked it up (03/15/25) we are back to square one trying to get the Rv BACK INTO the service department for the same MAIN Concern of why it was dropped of to begin with. I drove to Giant RV in Colton before they close at 5pm on Saturday as I was informed over the phone not being advise that they do not take service drop off past 1pm without appointments. I pulled into the drive 10 minutes before closing and was not greeted upon walking in by any one of the 3-5 people in there. The woman (Laura) who was the first to respond to my request of dropping off my Rv was with a "Nope, can't take it in and won't take it in." We are closing at 5 and we are ready to leave.... After trying to get her to understand the situation of being it back just 5 days after it was "repair" by them she then kept speaking very rudely with no manners or customer service etiquette, and no drive to help the customer out. She was rather more focused on her clocking out and leaving for the day. I then proceeded to ask if there was anyone else that I could speak to for some help. Then she mentioned somebody's name and said he would be right out. I could then hear Jerry I believe his name is on the phone with his boss, which is Tom the service manager. The manager's response over the phone was absolutely not and that I would have to take the RV back and there's nothing he could do for me. Given the situation, explain the situation to the service manager. There is no change in action no willingness to help and was just brushed off by the servicing, which had no authority over what their manager said. Overall, this dealership or even chain of RV dealerships do not care about you as a customer after you make their purchase with them. It has been an absolute nightmare, trying to deal with these people and would not recommend any friend or family or anybody that can read this to purchase an RV from Giant Rv specifically Colton for the simple reason that there is no help towards the customer or any customer service in general. And just to make things clear this is not reflecting upon the sales team and only the service department.

Just wanted to say thank you so much for everything! Mainly this review is for Devan. If it wasn't for Devan, none of this would be possible, and we wouldn't be getting the trailer we wanted. This is our very first travel trailer. My wife and I have been tent camping and backpacking for 2 decades. Finally last year my wife said, "I'm ready for an upgrade", and I agreed. It took us 6 months to find exactly what we were looking for, and it was just coming into the camping season. NO one was willing to accommodate us to keep us within our budget. It was not looking hopeful at all. On a whim, my wife stumbled across an ad from Giant RV posted(479 miles south from us). Then she met Devan. Devan was our knight in shining armor. He was very accommodating and polite to my wife. He kept us within our budget. It happened so fast, I couldn't believe it! My wife said, "I'm puting down $1000 deposit over the phone!" We own a small independent motorcycle service/ repair shop in Santa Rosa, CA. My wife handles all the logistics and the consignment sales. She is no stranger to this industry. Devan was a true gentleman. Thank you sir for making our dream come true and treating my wife with respect. We do a LOT of off grid camping and the Sun Lite Sport is exactly what we were looking for. If you are looking for an honest, fair RV/trailer representative, talk to Devan. Giant RV had a beautiful facility. You walk into this establishment, and everyone is extremely friendly. The women at the reception desk were very helpful. Steven, the gentleman that gives you the walk around, is very thorough and knowledgeable. The finance department, Marciel and Cece, were very witty and comical. Keeping the mood very light while signing paper work, especially after a 9 hour journey. We got our new trailer home safe and sound. We drove about 1000 miles to be treated fairly and find what we were looking for, but it was totally worth the journey. Thank you thank you Devan for making this happen for us. -Chris

We came in looking for our first trailer but we didn't have an appointment. That was not a problem for the team here at the Giant Rv! They attended us right away and showed me a trailer that fit our needs. The whole process was streamlined and everyone was very helpful. The team here is very down to earth and I was pleased with all the help during my pick up. We highly recommend this location!!!

Thank you to Bill, Brian and the Giant RV Team in Colton! Thank you for providing us a wonderful experience as new Class B Camper van owners! Their commitment to customer service is evident from the moment you step inside. They answered all of our questions, and we had plenty! Thank you for making our experience a great one, we had fun & learned a ton. Thanks again!

I called Keystone RV and they referred me to Tredit Tire. Called them and they referred me to manufacturer, who I have called 3 times and LVM... no return call in a week... every time I leave and return from camping i inspect tires... seems pretty crappy everyone keeps pushing it off to someone else...

I wish I would have read these reviews before going to this place. We purchased a 2020 forest river toy hauler, first time out things started falling apart, back splash, framing, moldings, plug outlets, the list goes on. I know giant RV doesn't personally build these Rv s BUT they do the servicing and WE paid for the warranty, that being said it's a complete shit show trying to get them to fix anything, first time we took it in they had it for a month and very little got fixed, the second time we dropped it off, they gave us a quote of $10,485 to fix a water leak, parts were $205, $10,280 was LABOR. Are you serious. What kind of crook shit is that. They wanted us to go through our insurance so they could get the pay day cause of course they blamed us for the water damage and it's not "covered" under warranty. That being said this place is not it. Steer clear of these scammers.

Before…read moresigning, I negotiated with Steve, the finance manager, who clearly agreed that an extra solar panel and second battery would be included at no additional cost ( see attached pic) . After I signed and paid in full, I later discovered they added a $400 charge for the solar panel anyway, even though I have proof it was agreed to be free. They also charged me a $995 dealer prep fee for a full inspection and setup, which clearly was not performed. Immediately after bringing the RV home, I discovered multiple defects: the entrance door would not close properly, there was a loud mechanical noise from under the refrigerator, and the battery was draining down while not in use. I contacted Laguna RV and on August 12 I drove two hours to return the RV for repairs and to install the solar panel they failed to include the first time. I picked up the RV on August 16 and was told everything was resolved. However, the very next day, while preparing for our trip, I discovered two holes in the brand new floor, additional damage under the recliners, and that all the tank sensors (black, gray, and fresh water) were not working at all. With only days before my departure and no time to drive back again, I had to hire a mobile RV technician, who confirmed the issues were not quick fixes. When we finally went on our trip, the water pump failed approximately 80 percent of the time. We could not properly shower, flush the toilet, or wash hands, and the tanks overflowed because the sensors did not work. This completely ruined our trip and was unacceptable for a brand new RV. On top of that in few occasions the shower drain water got flooded so did the toilet since again the tanks sensors didn't work and we couldn't tell the tanks levels... On our way back from the trip, the situation became dangerous. About 30 minutes into the drive home, one of the weight distribution hitch bars that Laguna RV had installed fell off while driving, and we were unable to locate it. We had no choice but to continue driving with only one bar, which is not safe. Two hours later, when we arrived at a gas station, I heard a loud boom. The second bar had also fallen off. I retrieved it and disconnected the hitch entirely, and had to drive the rest of the way without any distribution bars, which defeated the entire purpose of having a distribution hitch and put us in a dangerous situation. After the trip, I brought the RV back again on September 13. Bob, the service manager, told me he submitted a warranty claim with Forest River to have the damaged floor repaired. For five weeks, every time I followed up, he told me he was still waiting for approval from the manufacturer. I eventually contacted Forest River directly and was informed that no claim had ever been submitted. Only when I confronted Bob with that information did he actually send the claim. At this point, the RV has spent more time in Laguna RV's possession than mine. I am making monthly payments on a brand new RV that was delivered with defects, unsafe conditions, and items that were never properly inspected despite a $995 prep charge. I am now filing a formal Consumer Affairs complaint and pursuing legal action through my attorney to recover the unauthorized $400 solar panel charge, the $995 dealer prep fee, the $550 I paid for the hitch installation that was done improperly, and compensation for loss of use, safety risks, and the time and stress this caused my family. I have full documentation of all communication, photos, videos, and agreements. On more point - when I texted Steve ,the finance guy, in regards to the $400 unauthorized solar panel charge he texted back " who is this?".... we basically texted 20 times prior on the same text thread... Based on my experience, Laguna RV acted deceptively, failed to meet contractual obligations, and jeopardized my safety. I strongly warn others not to do business with this dealership.

Toilet flushed once then water pressure to toilet was gone. I take my Trailer in for the issue toilet won't fill properly due to low water pressure to toilet only. Kitchen, restroom sinks and shower all have good water pressure. I explain how I feel it might be the toilet valve to Guy A as he takes trailer information from me. 1 week later I get a call from Guy A saying I need a new toilet that run $700 and the warranty don't cover it. I lose my cool explain how it's BS. I just got the trailer from them, I asked don't you guys check the trailers before you sell them some kind of point inspection. The toilet worked for 1 fill then pressure was lost. He apologizes and says he understands I should had been able to use it more... I feel bad so I go into the office apologize to Guy A for losing my cool I understand it's not his fault. He seems to accept my apology so I ask him to help me understand the issues. I ask various questions when Guy B jumps in and says there's build up, could be from city or camp site having poor water and or hard water. I explain I understand, but that build up normally don't happen from 1 fish to the other it takes time. Mean while Guy A went back to speak with the service tech and confirmed that water is flowing to the toilet but then there's build up. I say thank you and say I'm not paying for a toilet. They explain how I'm gonna have to pay $175 for the time spent. I tell them I can't take trailer yet cuz I'm in my car. I return an 45min later with warranty in hand to show that warranty states it covers valves and fittings which I felt is where the issue is. Guy A is on the phone so I'm standing there waiting Guy B asks what I have, I say my warranty showing valves are covered did you guys check the valve? He then replied with yes there is blockage warranty won't cover blockage you need a new toilet if you want it fixed. Guy A gets off the phone and says they were going to let me take my trailer with no charge cuz I didn't sign that section of the paperwork. I say thanks can I pick it up tomorrow. I pick up trailer the next day take it home and in 20 min I have the toilet removed and bypassed the valve and toilet works fine. What really gets me is that there was no attempt to fix my toilet just sell me a new one. Not even a $175 per hour charge and a $30 valve was offered just a $700 new toilet. I really hope that Richardsons as a company can fix how they do business cuz I'm only 2 min away and hope that when I run into a problem outta my capabilities they don't try and take advantage of me again. I spoke with Brad I believe. He was helpful in getting me info. Not sure who serviced the toilet or who told him I needed a new one. Not sure who the guy sitting next to him that said if I wanted it fixed I needed a new toilet was ether. Toilet is working fine now that I fixed it myself so no matter what they say I didn't need a new one.

The communication throughout the buying process was excellent, and we felt confident that we were dealing with a dealership that valued our business. Unfortunately, that changed almost immediately after the sale. Within minutes of leaving the lot, we received an engine oil overfill warning and had to return so excess oil could be removed. The camera system was also not working. We were told it was caused by water from the pressure washer, but we have since discovered that the cameras stop working whenever it rains, raising concerns about a larger issue. Shortly afterward, we discovered multiple chips in the window and an airbag warning light. We immediately contacted the dealership and were told these issues would be taken care of and that we should have the repairs completed and provide the receipts. However, when we submitted a window repair quote, we were told by Dan that it was too expensive and that we needed to find somewhere else. After returning to Maine, we had Mercedes perform a thorough inspection. They found that the airbag system had previously been repaired incorrectly and now requires significant repairs. We were also informed that required service had not been completed, resulting in another significant expense. Despite our prior conversations, we were then told to submit these repairs through our extended warranty. The biggest disappointment has been the lack of communication and the conflicting information we've received. Calls have gone unanswered, including one that supposedly "dropped" with no return call, and we have had very little follow-up despite repeatedly providing documentation. We understand that issues can happen with any camper. What we expected was for the dealership to stand behind the commitments made to us and help resolve problems discovered immediately after purchase. Instead, we are left dealing with significant repair costs and a serious safety concern. We do want to recognize Mike Crossland and Kaitlyn in sales. Both have been incredibly helpful, responsive, and genuinely committed to customer service. They deserve 10 stars for their efforts and have been the bright spot in an otherwise very frustrating experience. We sincerely hope Mike Thompson RV will take our concerns seriously, honor what was promised, and help resolve these outstanding safety and repair issues. We would much rather end this experience feeling that the dealership stood behind the camper we purchased.

Even though my wife and I were in the process of purchasing a brand-new motorhome, I wanted to have another pair of eyes look over and test everything. There are hundreds and hundreds of items to check on a motorhome, and James knows them all, and how to test them. I recommend James if you are purchasing new, because before you take your rig off the lot is the best time for you to point out items in need of replacement, repair, or adjustment to the dealer. You are buying a new RV, and you expect everything to be in perfect working order, but you cannot assume it to be. If you are buying used, you MUST use an inspector. You'd be crazy not to just to save a few hundred bucks which you'll probably spend on the first repair. Jim gave us a checklist of every item he inspected, which was exhaustive. He is a competent professional with a keen eye for detail and a method of operating that is thorough, timely, and reliable. I trust him after our first experience and trust me, you will too.
