There was so much corn meal on the bottom of the crust that it was grainy and hard to taste the crust. Ordered 4 pizzas for 12 hungry teenagers and adults and only two were eaten. Most of it was thrown away. No one liked it. read more

My family is on vacation from Baltimore, MD. After finishing mini golf and bumper cars nearby, we wanted to treat the kids to pizza...! It was between Tomato Patch and Giant Slice....! I must say, we made the right choice! Staff was inviting and friendly upon entering the quaint pizza shop. We ordered our food and awaited our pies...! They even turned the ceiling fans off because the kids were cold! The pizza was fresh, dough was thin (but not too thin) and crispy! It was very, very good pizza, as my four little girls said! The owner even allowed me to get refunded the 10% check in coupon, because we forgot to do it when we first ordered! We were very pleased with our food and the service was excellent! We called ahead and dined in. It was about a 30 minute time for a full pizza so calling ahead is recommended. Pizza was above average; the shop was quaint and clean. Price was definitely worth it. This is a good choice for a laid back meal after a long day at the beach. read more

This place is gross. I get it's a tourist area but they didn't even try. We ordered green pepper and onions as toppings, we got tomatoes. The crust was also not cooked through. We asked for wings to be double baked so they were crispy and the skin was gooey. Do not waste your money read more

This place is a must every time i am in the Outer Banks. The pizza is the best I have had in the area by far. They really know how to do it right. They also serve wings which are really good - especially for a pizza place. The subs are really good as well, they have some special rolls that they are on that just make them killer. Delivery service is always prompt, especially considering how busy the area is during the summertime. If you are looking to feed the family, or just get a slice or two for lunch; this is definitely the one pizza worth getting in the Corolla area. NY style pizzeria. I ordered a calzone. Kind of pricey for what I got. Large calzone stuffed with Ricotta cheese and not much else. added sausage to it, but the sausage was almost non-existant. Ordered my kids a large cheese pizza. They (9 and 13 yr old boys) ate all but one piece. My wife ordered a chicken parm sandwich and loved it. Based on food alone, I would have given two stars for my own order, but my family absolutely loved theirs so I balanced it out at 4 stars. Atmosphere was casual at best. I can only suppose that the owner has not thought out that if you're running a brisk seasonal beach town pizza business you should increase staffing levels on a Saturday night in July. Giant Slice has become a go to on our first night the OBX. Their service makes the first night meal an easy affair. The large pizza and order of breadsticks feeds our family of two growing teenagers and two slightly pudgy adults. The pizza is nothing hugely special, but usually well done. Breadsticks were twisted and fresh. We have also ordered their cheesy bread, expecting something like a garlic bread. It came the size of a second pizza, a nice surprise. Eating in the restaurant offers a comfortable escape from the shopping that is Timbuck II. Easy on the wallet, too. We added a pin for to your map, and look forward to returning again. read more

Have been here on vacation with a decently large group the past 3 weeks. My husband and I came in for a slice and witnessed the dark hair female owner being extremely rude to two of the employees right in front of us about something very simple. Then she turned around and was rude to us about our order. We ignored it until my husbands grandparents went in for a couple of pizzas this past Friday and witnessed the same rude behavior from the female owner. We are not impressed with how they treat their employees or their customers, and their pizza is average. We will not be returning or giving good reviews about this place to anyone who asks us about it. read more

I have not been disappointed once this entire vacation but Stella from the Tim buck ii giant slice managed to do so. I asked for a slice of buffalo chicken pizza and she said I'd have to wait and my boyfriend said he didn't want to wait so I picked another slice. When I turned around I said to my boyfriend "that's annoying" referring to him not wanting to wait. There was four people in our party and they all got slices and when theirs all arrived they were giant slices but then when I got mine she gave me a piece that was smaller than a regular slice because she had thought that I called her annoying I guess? This was completely unprofessional and just plain petty and rude. My family of 15 wanted to go in there to get a couple pies and I told them absolutely not after what Stella did. Was given their menu info by the Hampton Inn who recommended them for delivery. Except that they don't deliver to the Hampton Inn & Suites just north of Duck. Food? Who knows? Who cares? If they don't deliver there don't drop off menus and have staff recommend. read more

My husband and I ordered a large white pizza with spinach and ravioli bites. The ravioli bites were fine, but the pizza was some of the worst we've ever had. It lacked any garlic flavor which was replaced by some unidentifiable sweet taste that made it almost inedible. This was our first meal after a 7.5 hour drive and we barely ate any of it.
