So I was just in the store to grab milk nothing to serious but I was walking to the bathroom and as I'm on my way to the bathroom I over here this conversation from what looked like to me a manager and a lower level employee now i understand if your employee is not doing their job and you need to tell them what they are doing wrong that is fine but what's not fine is being a manager who will start chewing out the employee on the sales floor because last time I checked when handling business that should be handled in the back privately and not infront of customers. That's not being a good manager that's also showing customers your employees are not doing their jobs or that they don't listen to you. The manager looking lady was a shorter older white women had to be in late 40s maybe older very blonde hair and on top of everything her uniform looked a complete mess her shirt is not her size and was a complete wrinkled mess and the younger employee was a taller younger man maybe 18-22 dark brown hair and white i believe. Handle your business in the back if you're a manager you look unprofessional as fuck. read more

This is a nice location. Always clean. I only come on here when something specific is on sale. Otherwise they are overpriced like crazy especially on meat. read more

I am fine with this store. It's usually well stocked with the specials. My only complaint is about the prices in the deli. I don't even consider buying lunch meat or cheese,$10 a pound for most things. Skip the deli. read more

I'm disappointed this store doesn't wipe carts or have sanitizing wipes to do it yourself. Just empty dispensers. Not a one time thing, it's been since businesses were told to close. Customer service was never great in this store and I was ok with that. My wife shopped in the Wyomissing store and they were wiping carts and plexiglas ar registers. This health crisis proves to me they really don't care about customers, not even their health and welfare. I have to wonder if they think less of the folks in Muhlenberg. Be careful when going out while this Coronavirus is out there. If you really need to go to this store, bring wipes and be careful. If they don't have wipes are they sanitizing all the surfaces customers touch? read more

Local grocery store, typical Giant. An upgrade from having to shop and deal with the people at local Walmart. Like most grocery stores like this, it pays to get a shopper card if you shop here often, the savings will certainly add up. This store is always clean and the service friendly. Pharmacy on site.Fresh baked goods, seafood and meat departments. Most Giant stores in the area now serve beer and wine, and they have a pretty good selection. Also have a refrigerated section, plus a make your own six pack selection. Plenty of standard beers and wines, as well as wide variety of micro-brews. read more

Now that we only live by a Walmart I miss shopping at Giant. Their produce isn't always the best but they have a really large selection of seasonal foods and local foods. They offer many organic products. Their organic section grows and they always offer different organic, vegan, and gluten free products. Now that they sell beer and wine it makes it so much easier to shop since we only have to go to one place instead of many! read more

I really don't care for this place. I've bought meat and produce here countless times that ends up being spoiled or has surprise mold and rot. So many items in the dairy dept end up being past date. I brought some home only to se see the date was over. Since then I check, but it's far too common. Also there are several (more than five) items that I had to go elsewhere for because their variety with some stuff sucks. read more

Well, this Giant is just ok. Go here because it is about 2 minutes from my house. Produce can be moldy, so you have to check it. Which, you should not have to CHECK your produce before you buy it. At least not for mold. I think the kicker that made me actually write a review is I got the pre packaged lunch meat. Cheese is always fine, but tonight I got salami, it was brown, as was the ham. NOW, my one tomato had a worm in it. WTF TEMPLE GIANT???? I am disgusted. Gonna try and post my wormy tomato. read more

I'm one of those strange people that love grocery shopping. I like to take my time, perusing the isles. Thinking of yummy creations to whip up. Giant is my supermarket! A supermarket is a supermarket, but Giant stands out in two ways: 1. They have a great selection of vegetarian and organic items. 2. You can "scan as you shop." I absolutely love this option because it saves time and I bring my own cloth bags (go green!) so it's convenient to pack them as you go along. read more

This is the grocery store we frequent most often. It's the only Giant that I know of that has the hand-scanners to scan your entire order as you shop. While I will say that it makes checkout a breeze, it can be frustrating when the there are no scanners available or they are malfunctioning... read more

Love the self scan option - It keeps be from getting bored while we shop. the negatives are the insanely slowwwwww workers at the deli - I get its time intensive - so add more people....... the other negative is the lack of employees and the ones that you do see seem to not be customer service oriented. read more

Obviously this store is convenient. They are everywhere. The selection is good and they beat Walmart with cashiers available. I wonder sometimes if that is the focus to be better than Walmart, but not compete with Wegmans on freshness and quality. I throw away most of the produce in two days after purchase from Giant because it's moldy. read more

Great place to pick up a 6 pack or a bottle of wine. So convienent and it saves me time. Not the best prices but still good.

Very nice and clean store. Great selection and layout. However, they are on the expensive side on many items. You also need to watch their wording on sale items - I do not shop there anymore for simply that reason. They do a lot of buy one get one free which sounds great on the surface...however you will notice that they also include "at manufacturers suggested retail". What does that mean? I'll tell you... Let's say they normally sell a brand of potato chip for $2.99 (and the manufacturer has a suggested retail of $4.39 which they NEVER sell it for). The buy one get one free is based on the $4.39 suggested retail price and not their $2.99 everyday price. So essentially you are buying 2 for $4.39 - yes still a savings but it just seems like they have an angel. You also need to watch the fine print on some items. They will almost ALWAYS have a 2 for $5.00 on ice cream. Watch out...the VERY small print says limit 2! One of my pet peeves is advertisers praying on those who "think" a deal is a deal! read more

I'm not too keen on theft. Definitely felt like I had been stolen from after I bought some presliced deli cheese today, though! Package said Land o Lakes, was also priced as such. Got home and it most certainly wasn't, was likely their store brand which is comparable to Velveeta. Brought it back, and customer service didn't even blink. She rather smiled like it was funny and asked if I wanted to get more or a refund? As in you're not remotely puzzled/disturbed your store is selling false product? Not even a "I'll talk to the deli manager" line. Nothing. OK, thanks for telling me what your franchise is. Done! read more

This Giant has turned grocery shopping from a chore to an experience. The cashiers always helpful and friendly. When I walk in with my 1 year old son, they nearly always stop to greet us. What I really love about this Giant is that you can scan as you shop. I hated the wasted time and energy of putting everything into a shopping basket, pulling it all back out to scan it, and then putting it all back into the basket. When you go in the door of the Giant, you scan your bonus card at a kiosk. It assigns a scanner to your bonus card that you put into the holster on your cart. You scan your items and put the items directly into your shopping bags. When you are finished shopping, you scan an end of order barcode. This puts your order into their computer system. Then, you scan your bonuscard at the register and it loads all of the information so that you can pay. My immediate thoughts about this system were, "What is going to keep people honest?" They randomly select people for audits. If you are selected, they will double check some items in your bags. I wish that I could volunteer to be audited all of the time. It doesn't take that much time, and you are rewarded with a $2 off coupon. Although, I suppose if I were in a hurry, an audit would make me grumpy. This Giant does not have the cheapest prices in the region, but I feel that they have the best customer service, the freshest food, the most variety, great sales, and the best shopping atmosphere. read more

The deli counter - Thursday, August 17, 2017.. Oh my goodness! Who ever was on that counter - dark hair - sour puss on her face like she had sucked on a lemon! I said good morning, I get nothing back but a "what can I get you"... No eye contact, didn't even let me see the cuts she was making on the cold cuts - way too thin, but I didn't have a chance to see it. Then I wanted something further and I get " what else"... No good morning, no thank you, no nothing.. I'm sorry, I don't expect you to have a chat with me, but just be pleasant! If you don't like your job - that's on you, not on me! If you get up on the wrong side of the bed, again, that's on you, don't take it out on me!!!! I made the mistake of going back to this store - I have switched to Kutztown which is a PLEASURE! They are all very friendly to your face.. that's all you want in your shopping experience. IF the employees are miserable, it sets the tone! read more

The reason for 2 stars is because of the selection of foods I love the organic section. But twice I was given the wrong formula the first time I didn't check got it home and realized it was soy. When itried to take it back they told me they couldn't execept it back exchange or refund my money. The second time I checked when they handed it to me and I had the soy again. Formula is not cheap I lost about $15 dollars on that can. Also check the experation date on everything in that store I got formula that expired in 1 month, yogert that was expired and rotten I always check now and I notice a lot of items like this in this store. Another problem is I use manufacture coupons for formula which between them never knowing how to use them and waiting for formula check out takes about 10-15 min. The deli is the worst. I was there about 9 at night there was 1 girl who was cleaning the slicer she ignored me for about 5-10 min then looked at me turned around and started texting on he phone. The machine was off so I couldn't even order from there. The convience is the only reason I would go to this giant again. read more
