Great family pizza spot. Has plenty of TV's to watch games. Service is always good. Their is a rockstar young lady that just always has a smile on her face. She is so friendly and is always working so hard. She she be running the place. The specials here are so good. Pizza is really flavorful and good quality. Boneless wings are also solid. The family salad is awesome as well. Games can be hit and miss but my kid is here for th Xe vending machines where she loads up on cheap toys and candy. I am glad this place is in my backyard. There's a family pizzeria, 1108 E Clark Avenue in the Oak Knoll Shopping Center, in Orcutt, a little town on the Central Coast of California, where you are transported back in time to an era of genuine heartfelt welcome and customer service. Can you imagine trying to find a place to share your wife's childhood and adult adventures and experiences with those who knew her life better than I did before we met? What made it difficult? Every venue in town had either an academic graduation, a sports celebration, or just a large party of some sort, so booking a place was hard. When I called Giavanni's, our favorite restaurant for the past 9 years, I expected the same response as I got from the other restaurants. What I got was like a pioneer wagon train under attack, seeing the US Cavalry counterattacking and rescuing the people in the train. Can you imagine their response, despite prior reservations, to groups on the same time and date? If you guessed no can do, you were dead wrong! It was like in the song Big Bad John saving his coal miner buddies in the collapsed mine. They stepped up to the plate, swung the bat, and accomplished a home run! Yes, they made the deep, gut-wrenching sorrow burning in my heart lighten up with a simple 'yes, can do that,' which shone a light on what would never happen after the memorial service. The friendliness of the staff is what saved this from being 1 star. The food was fine, not great, but not terrible either. We had multiple pizzas and salads. The restaurant bathrooms were gross and in need of repair. The biggest problem was the inability or unwillingness of the staff to reign in the wild and out of control kids that were there for a baseball banquet. The parents of these kids were less than useful. We had kids running around our table, throwing toys from across the restaurant that landed under our table, they were using the front walkway (inside the restaurant) as a pitching mound, and the worst was the ridiculous volume of it all. These kids were screaming constantly. We had a group of ten including children all of whom were well behaved. This was a very disappointing visit and it'll be quite some time before we consider visiting this place again. I'll happily pay a bit more for Klondikes where the pizza and atmosphere and overall cleanliness are supremely better. read more

The lunch buffet was extremely limited. Although the actual pizza was good, they did not have pizza available causing people to wait. I've tried several different items off of Giovanni's menu. The pizza is affordable and super tasty. I also enjoy their fettuccine Alfredo. The service is always friendly and quick. They do a great job of telling you when your order will be ready if you order for pick up. I haven't eaten here, but the vibe inside is pretty chill normally very busy and if I'm not mistaken, they even have arcade games to keep the kids busy while you eat. This place can accommodate many groups of various sizes. Place has multiple TVs and arcade games like pinball machines. Buffet options are limited but met my needs. When I was there, it was mostly empty and they had two pizza pans out with pizza slices of various toppings. There were also two pasta options and garlic bread. Not sure if they put out more than two pizza pans if it's busy. Pizza and pasta were good. Probably much better if I had some straight from the oven and not sitting out for awhile. Pizza and pasta wasn't cold but not particularly hot so I didn't get that stringy pull to the cheese. Still, I was hungry and didn't have to wait compared to having to order a pizza. The prices can get expensive, e.g it's $16 for a 10 inch pizza. It tasted good but honestly that is not worth that amount of money. They do let you refill drinks on the bright side. However, on weeks days, you can order All-You-Can-Eat for a great value, which is GREAT for days off school and breaks and if your really hungry! (1 person only) , and you can get the family deals if you're with the family or with a party. Next, the machines in the back don't really work. I tried the pinball machines as well as the air hockey machine the last few weeks. The machines are faulty, laggy, and get stuck often. So recently, I heard a few people say this was the best pizza they ever had. Which was a surprise to me because of the past experience I had. We ordered the chicken Alfredo a la Carte and a medium 3 topping pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and spicy ham. The wait wasn't too bad. The Alfredo came out first with garlic bread. We asked for ranch dressing, and apparently, it cost money. Which we didn't mind paying. It just would have been nice to know while we were ordering, so we didn't have to go up to the register again. Alfredo was ok. Then our pizza came out. But they didn't give us any plates, and we didn't feel like having to go up to the register again, so we just shared the basket that they gave us for the garlic bread as a make shift plate. The pizza was just ok, too. It was definitely better than the all you can eat pizza that I had years ago. But, if I had to come back here again, maybe I would try a sandwich or something else. read more

Arcade games were taking the kids quarters and when u asked her about it she had a nasty attitude. She was also rude to my Grandaughter. I came to Giavanni's in Orcutt for their My805tix.com published Giafunni's Halloween Comedy Jam Saturday night, 10/25/2025, and all-you-can-eat buffet, which was listed on-line as of 10/16/2025. The day prior, I visited with the on-duty manager, Kayle, who was not sure what was happening there Saturday night, but recommended I call back the next day. I called Saturday, early afternoon and spoke with Lily, who said they will have their comedy night at 8 PM and their buffet, starting at 4 PM. When I arrived 6:30 PM, two employees did not know about the comedy night and buffet. When I asked to speak with the on-duty manager, Kayle eventually came out and explained the comedy night and buffet were cancelled last week and she will address the on-line advertisement and communication with the person setting it all up. I found the communication and management to be lacking, and do not recommend this location. They hire minors to take the orders and do not communicate with or train them properly. The management does not provide proper customer service and communication is poor. read more

Not a bad price for the lunch buffet. But the food was real slow to come out to the buffet. Asked about getting some pepperoni pizza and when 2 pizzas came out only 1 was 1/2 pepperoni. And with 5 people waiting for food. I didn't even get a piece. Ate a bunch of the pastas and a piece of pizza but had to pick toppings off. Another pepperoni never came out. The quality of the pizza has really gone down! I attended an 11 year old's birthday party there and we were crammed into a tiny room that had no windows or tvs. The rest of the place was empty and the party would have been so much better if it could have taken place in the main area with all of the tvs, windows and games. The pizza sauce was tasteless and watery and some of the bread on the bottom of the pizza wasn't even baked all of the way. I felt bad for the 11 year old girl who's birthday should have been given more consideration by the restaurant instead of squeezing the entire group of guests into a tiny room that was not meant for a party like that.
