Phenomenal food and service. Chris's service was beyond our expectations. The crab cakes exceeded our expectations.

The atmosphere is top tier. The service is on point. The ribeye steak was good. The side dishes were okay. The desserts were okay. The Gumbo was different, but it did have a good taste. It's more of a salmon soup taste, but I like salmon. The crab bisque had good flavor. The ettoufee was alright. Many of the side dishes were barely eaten. The chicken fingers were delicious. The potato logs were massive.

Stunning date night! Dim lit, crystal chandeliers, plush carpet and amazing waitstaff. They cater to you, have a good variety on menu without being pages long. Fish, steak, chicken and veggie options. We have been here many times and keep coming back. Chefs do a wonderful job with food prep. Love it every time!

Our meal was amazing Tyler our server called me Mr (last name) thru-out the entire meal great service! The lamb chops I had were flown in from New Zealand and aged for 12 days before being crusted and cooked to a perfect medium rare served over a red wine Demi gloss with mushrooms

VERY OVERRATED! I was looking forward to trying this when we stayed at Margaritaville and I knew going in it was going to be expensive but we wanted to try something nice. The waiter was wonderful. However, if you're going to pay $55 for a steak, it better be melt in your mouth DANG GOOD and it was just good but not wonderful. The Brussels sprouts were dry and hard. My appetizer Coconut Shrimp batter wasn't done all of the way and it wasn't really coconut shrimp. It didn't have the taste of it. My Chocolate Martini was delicious. I will not try this place again though because it wasn't worth the price.

First time there. View was nice of the river. Server was upbeat and attentive. We did not get any alcoholic beverages. Bill was around $150 plus an additional $30 tip on top of that. That gives you an idea of cost. We each had a filet (the larger 10oz) and they were cooked perfectly. You could add toppings if you want. I did not. We accidentally got a side of asparagus that was just ok. I much prefer grilled asparagus but that's just my taste buds. The bread and various butters were really good. There were different flavors of salt and fresh cracked pepper to add to your food that they leave on the table. That was new/different/interesting. LOL My husband had a Caesar salad but he said it was too anchovy-ish. He ate it tho. ;) the creme brûlée was ok. I'm not a connoisseur of the dessert but I wasn't a huge fan of it. Kinda tasted like vanilla pudding with burned sugar on top. I know that's what creme brûlée is but I guess I expected something different. I don't know what. I wish I'd gotten the chocolate cake is my lesson there. ;) We saw the server Millie who a lot of people rave about and I told her she is a popular pick according to Yelp. She was happy to hear this. She actually delivered our food for our waiter. We will try this place again and get some other things but I still love our old standby Saltgrass... It's cheaper and satisfying just the same or better. The Gruyère cheese scalloped potatoes were tasty but not as tasty as a couple of our other local restaurants-- we prefer a creamier and stronger cheese flavor than these. These were light and not the cheesiest-tasting so they were just okay. One thing I was kinda shocked by was that the bus boy came by our table and didn't ask but just started picking up our plates without even asking if we were done. I still had 1/2 a roll, a few bites of potatoes, some asparagus... I mean... maybe ask the patrons if they are done first. I was full enough but I just thought that was kinda rude/unprofessional. My 2 cents.

Lamb and mash potatoes, and ribeye,

The food was very expensive for what was received. Last time I went in the restaurant employees were too busy play to wait on me.

I attended with a local friend and he confirmed this is authentic. The experience: Friendly staff, a long restaurant with a bar section, followed by the condiments section, followed by a whole other bar somehow? I didn't poke my head back there but I found that intriguing. More on the condiments: They come with any sandwich. I probably took unfair advantage by taking enough lettuce, tomatoes, and onions to make an entire salad. I then asked for dressing, which they happily provided at no charge. And sandwiches? Do get. Delicious bread. The default bread appears to be the French - you could opt for their sourdough if you like - and it's not toasted. I love soft bread, and the po' boy was divine as a result. I loved the boudin. I loved that they have alligator sausage in multiple places on the menu. I loved everything about this place except the fact that summer means just about all of the beers were light, and I had to hunt and peck to find beers more my style. Which I did. And maybe those beers are lingering as I type this review. But BeauxJax gave me the warm, fuzzy, welcoming feeling I love in a restaurant. A great stop in Bossier. Worth a detour from Shreveport. Legitimate Cajun.

The happy hour specials had to be asked about, however the bartender/server was very attentive and responsive. I ordered the Mango Cart beer along with the sampler of charbroiled oysters. The bartender also brought out some bread. I had high hopes for the oysters, and although you get a variety, they left me feeling somewhat disappointed. The Rockefeller had way too much spinach, the charbroiled was dry and had too much bread crumbs, the crab stuffed was okay and to my surprise the Diablo was my favorite. I also got some bread pudding which came out pipping hot. It tasted okay although it was too much for one person. Overall I gave the meal 4 stars The next day I came back with friends and we sat in the dining area. This was disastrous. The server let us know she was going to come back and help us after she got the LARGE group next to us taken care of but would put our order in first. Then she forgot about us. Actually told us she had already put their order in and proceeded to take our order. Then she had to come back and confirm (which was wrong) as she didn't write anything down. We started off with an order of crab stuffed mushrooms. Although the stuffing was tasty, as a whole it wasn't something I'd order again. I ordered the 1/2 & 1/2 - 1/2 poboy and gumbo. Food was just okay. The sandwich was dry, the gumbo was mostly rice. My friend, who we were celebrating, was disappointed with her food. When it came to the table she saw fries and asked was there an option and the server said yes, and she proceeded to ask her what she would have liked instead. However the fish was dry, the shrimp was overcooked and the veggies (that she replaced for the fries) was the highlight of her meal. Unfortunately we also both got sick which we assumed was from the mushrooms as it's the only thing we both had. So this visit gets 2 stars.
