When we arrived at 5:15 there appeared to be short a host AND a bartender. Our server greeted us, show us to the table. Discouraged complicated cocktails. Took our order, bussed the table. I wouldn't be surprised if he had to cook the food too. The fried green tomato was under cooked. Well seasoned and tasty but required a knife to cut. The CFS was over cooked and as tough as boot leather. Had to send back. The NY burger was ordered but the cowboy burger was delivered. It was good but incorrect. The Croque Monsieur was delicious and the potato logs were yummy too. I usually give these folks great reviews-so I hope this was an off day. read more

A little change up in 1800 Prime. The new menu has some creative smoked items like hot links, brisket and meatloaf. The rolls are gone so we ordered corn bread with honey butter they added catfish to go with thier fried shrimp unusually order. The steaks are Prime and the fillets are great. Never a wait but their should be. This place is a sleeper spot people don't know exists. Highly recommend. The new menu has some lower prices items. Like a loaded hot link hoagie. read more

It was March 2019, and I was in Shreveport, LA on a business trip. I almost never visit chain restaurants when I travel as I like to sample the local fare. So at the end of a 5.5 hour drive and a 12 hour workday, I was famished. As I was staying at a hotel in Bossier City, and in the mood for a steak; therefore, after a quick look at Yelp, I chose to eat at 1800 Prime Steakhouse located inside the Boomtown Casino. I arrived shortly after the restaurant opened and was courteously greeted at the door. Although I did not have a reservation, I was immediately seated as the restaurant was not crowded at all. My server Thomas (pronounced Toe-mos) arrived almost immediately and took my drink order. As I waited for my drink, I perused the menu and took in the feel and decor of the space. Wood is a common theme, as the bar, booths, exposed ceiling trusses and floor are all wood. However, to break up the wooden monotony, the art on the walls livens up the space. Being from New Orleans, I appreciated the many pieces of New Orleans themed art on the walls and it almost felt as if I was eating at a restaurant in the French Quarter. Although I did not sit at the bar, it looked very inviting and I could easily see myself enjoying my meal here. My drink came quickly and I had already made up my mind regarding my order. Thomas brought out enough bread for two people that I somewhat greedily and enthusiastically devoured all by myself. The piping hot bread basket contained 2 yeast rolls, a cheddar cheese roll and cinnamon roll that could make Cinnabon jealous. The rolls were also served with a sampling of four delicious butters which included regular butter, basil herb butter, sun-dried tomato butter and cinnamon butter. Hands down, these were the best rolls and butters I have ever eaten in my life. The house salad was the perfect size and gets an A+ for presentation; and kudos to them for including avocado slices. My side order of steamed avocado was only three pieces, but they were almost as big as small cigars; therefore, it as enough. However, 1800 Prime is a steakhouse and this is why I chose to dine here. My 6 oz. dry-aged filet (cooked medium rare) was perfect and ranks among the best steaks I've ever eaten. Topped with fried onion rings and a savory butter, this steak was incredible. Tender and devoid of fat, this was a truly enjoyable steak. Having eaten all the bread and every scrap of every dish, I was unable to partake in any of the dessert offerings as I was literally stuffed. Thomas was a great server and checked on me frequently throughout my meal. I was surprised to see that the restaurant is only open Thursday through Sunday; however, I will definitely plan my next trip to coincide with their schedule. read more

I was passing through from Dallas on Sunday, August 8 heading home (Calhoun, LA) & stopped and place a Togo order. Upon arrival, the place was fairly empty around 5:30 ish. I ordered a 10 oz ribeye, Mac n cheese and squash with zucchini. I was told it would be 15 to 20 mins wait. I stepped away to go to the bathroom. Upon my return, I sat at the bar to await my order. The attendant replied she was waiting for me to return because they were out of squash and zucchini and wanted to know it I'd accept something else. I accepted more Mac n cheese due to they only having asparagus. Upon arriving at home, I opened the covered plate and it smelt very burnt. I broke a piece off to taste and it was very burnt even to the taste. I have made numerous attempts to contact them and have sent several emails through the website to make contact with them. No return attempt from them has been made to this day. All I want is for them to make it right at this point. I'm uploading my photos from my purchase. Overall I give this place a 5 out of 10. It took forever for anyone to even bring us water over 45 minutes for us to get our food. I got steak and it was very salty but cooked good mashed potatoes slapped they were so good. read more

Would not recommend. Smells like cheap cigarettes, disability checks, and desperation. Floor was sticky, and one waiter was trying to cover the entire restaurant, which admittedly was only about three tables. It was our first time there and we were not disappointed. We started with lemon drop martinis and dirty martini. There were four of us in our party. Then the bread basket came with a variety of butter to die for! We had crab claws and mushrooms for appetizer and then the special came with steak cooked medium with potatoes and brocolini. Brocolini was a bit over cooked and we got new ones brought to us. Then dessert but we saved it for later. We will be back again as the cost was reasonable and the food was worth it! A waitress that was not taking care of us decided to walk up to me, while eating my caramel cheesecake, and stated, "don't eat that, you'll get fat, give it to him." One of the worst experiences at a steak house I have ever had. Took quite awhile for the waiter to take our order. When the salads came out he disappeared. My husband had to go in the kitchen to get salt & pepper. Once he returned he informed us that the prime rib everyone ordered was over cooked and we needed to order something else. So the next best thing is a filet. Once the filet was brought to the table it was raw! I mean it was purple and cold in the middle. This was my first and last time to eat here. Buyer beware!! This is supposed to be a prime restaurant however when you walk in you are met with people fighting and arguing in the back and come to find out one of the people screaming and shouting is our waitress coming out to set tables slamming stuff on the tables. Not to mention the food. I had the Blackened Catfish Meunière. Even though the catfish was cooked well there was no Meunière sauce but a pool of oil on the plate. My wife got the 12oz Duroc Pork Chop asked for it to be medium however it was extremely dry. Overall a horrible experience. The waitress was so upset with the argument she didn't ask my wife to cut into her pork she didn't ask it we were celebrating something and after hearing the argument we didn't want her to jump down our throats so we didn't even want to mention any of this in the restaurant so this service made for a horrible birthday read more

It was very slow when me and my partner decided to have dinner but the food and drinks did not disappoint and neither did the service! I ordered the filet with Mac n cheese and paired it with a blueberry martini. The steak melted in your mouth and the Mac n cheese was to die for! My martini was delicious as well and perfectly mixed. Best steakhouse in town. If you want to get a good steak at the best price and you want to get some high-quality food this is the place to come they have everything and everything is phenomenal. I came here a couple weeks ago with my dad on my mom to celebrate my sister's graduation and we had a blast. From the time that you're greeted you know that you're number one in their book and that everything that you need is going to be done. The service was great and the food was amazing I will definitely be going back soon to get some more of that great food. It's a little bit more expensive than usual but it's very very good and it's definitely worth the extra bucks. The atmosphere is great for dates or just the nice dinner with your family. This is by far one of my favorite Steakhouse in town and we'll definitely be coming back for more great food read more

The food was fantastic and the best part of the experience. We had reservations for 6:15, but were not seated at a table until a little after 6:30. It then took another 10-15 minutes before our waitress acknowledged our presence. To her defense it was only her 2nd day and she was working without help. We ordered soup as well as an entee. The soup did not arrive at the table until 3 minutes before the main course. The main course was amazing. If this was based on the food quality I would give this place a 5/5. So apparently the steakhouse was closed 02/09 for a private event.... I was able to make reservations and even received text to confirm my Friday night reservations..... AND I stood at the front door for 15 minutes. Pulled on it twice, but locked. Walked past by 4 different employees ... no one said a thing about a private party. Finally someone came to the door and said - there is a private part tonight. Not sure then why I was allowed to make reservations and left to stand at their front door for so long. read more

This is definitely one of the best Steak Houses around. I am from Lake Charles and I came here for business so I just stopped in and had the best time. The food was great! perfect steaks and the atmosphere and people just made the experience wonderful. So when some family came by I treated them to dinner at 1800. And they enjoyed themselves even more then i did. My father is the pickiest eater ever and he has not stopped raving about the food. Chef Monday even came to our table and spent a little time laughing and joking with us. So we will definitely be coming back to 1800 again and again. read more

Filet steak had deme glaze sauce which was NOT mentioned on the menu nor by the server.., I enjoy my steak without anything on it at all... the steak was swimming in the sauce and the sauce wasn't very tasty to begin with. I returned my steak to have another one cooked but the "chef" decided to just burn off the sauce which made my med rare steak become WELL done... So I returned it again. What I was served next was definitely NOT a file cut at all and was NOT good. If you call yourself a "steak restaurant" then I expect a good steak. This was probably the worst I've had in many years. My wife and I made reservations for a Sunday evening. When we arrived we were treated like the only people in the place. Our server was spot on, drinks never ran out, food was beyond good. It was quite, and clean and very very upscale. When the bill came I was scared to look but when I opened it, I thought they'd given us the wrong one but it was correct.
