I love the outdoor sitting at Giddy Up Cafe on a Fall afternoon. We passed by this little place during lunch time on the road and decided to give it a try - considering a few of our favorite lunch places in town are closed. :( As far a the food goes, the lunch menu was kind of small and not very exciting. Everything tasted as expected, but nothing to be excited about.

Everything was so good! Came here after a hot springs soak, solid breakfast choice and their changing specials are all amazing. I got some sort of egg casserole and my friend got the French toast, both were so good and the patio seating area is very cute and relaxing. Highly recommend.

This scratch kitchen is such a charming spot. We stopped in for Saturday brunch. They serve brunch until they run out of food. They make food and dressings from scratch and roast their own coffee beans. Food is delicious and fresh. The people who work there are super friendly. So welcoming and make you feel like family. Highly recommend!

I love this local shop. There is a nice homegrown, family feel here and the food is very good. Be kind and patient, all the food is made to order so prepare to wait. I recommend using that time to talk to the locals who eat here, learn about the area or just vibe to music playing.

    Dirty Mac with Meatballs

I really wish I could give a higher rating to Giddy Up Cafe because it is a really cute cafe with a nice outdoor patio area, but the Dirty Mac ($14 + $2 for meatballs) was simply too salty for me to even eat. To their credit though, the lady running the cafe was very friendly and offered to make it up to me with a menu item on the house. I got the Baked Oatmeal (normally $9), which they made in only a couple minutes (service was otherwise a bit slow). The oatmeal was pretty good with some fresh fruit and whipped cream on top. I also tried the breakfast burrito ($12), which was tasty, especially the bacon and cheese. It was also a large size, so very good value. They have a small indoor area where you order up front and then a cute outdoor courtyard area with some artistic decor and several tables for seating. Overall, if it weren't for that salty Dirty Mac, I would easily be giving at least 4 stars - feel free to try out your luck here and you very well might love your experience!

Hard to find out when this place is open. Three small tables inside and an open door to an enclosed patio with more tables. No potatoes for brunch. No iced tea. Plasticware only. Good pancakes, good eggs, good toast, fatty thick cut bacon. Server a bit...

Well. It ain't true - they closed at 1pm since most of items were sold out ;I got the last B&G hahaha Chilaquiles was good eats as well

On my way to go to ABQ, I saw the sign - T-O-C ; Truth or Consequences! WTH? Can't miss the opportunity to explore the new places ! I wanted to try where the locals would go for Sunday Brunch - as soon as I stepped into the city, that's what I craved for I ran into a group of the local musicians who were preparing the busking; they all recommended "Giddy Up Cafe" - it sure does show "good ole time in T-O-C in 1900's I wanted to try out as many items to taste but lots of items were sold out already; did I give up? Hell No! I asked what would be available so I ordered two items-Biscuit & Gravy and Chilaquiles Food 4.5 Service 5 Ambiance 5.5(it fits in my style) Overall 5

This place has an indoor and out door area for eating. It has a very chill vibe and is dog friendly. The service is friendly but can take a minute. This is because they are making every single meal from scratch. I got their special tonight which was chicken and came with an amazing salad and soup. I finished with a pear and goat cheese tart. I highly recommend the specials here and their dessert. Also I got a soda here that is made in NM. Tasted very fresh. I would totally recommend trying this place out if your in town.

Giddy Up Cafe is a gem in T or C. It's nestled right next door to Fire Water Lodge on Broadway. My husband and I were walking around town on Saturday, January 1st and Giddy Up was closed, however, as we stood out front checking out the place a nice person came to chat! She told us to come back the next day and what a good cook the owner was. We were excited for a new place to try since we'd had breakfast at the same restaurant the past two days. Giddy Up is only open on Sunday's and Monday's at this time. We arrived around 9:40am on January 2nd and they have the patio open to sit. Yes, it was a brisk morning but they have heaters and blankets and even an electric blanket on a bench. I gravitated to the sunshine after grabbing some house roasted coffee. YUM!! When you enter the building there are local New Mexico products and gifts like Bee Chama Honey and face products, sauces from Santa Fe, ceramics from Hillsboro, NM, handmade soaps and other treasures. The menu is small but had great options. My husband ordered the green chili biscuit and gravy. These are homemade biscuits people! Amazing! Super tasty gravy too! I ordered a 3 egg omelet with bacon, spinach, mushrooms and Parmesan cheese. OMG! I know I know it's eggs but boy can Rooster cook. This little establishment is owned by Rooster Blackspur, who is one heck of a cook and super charming and is a fabulous country singer. Her group, formerly know as Moody Little Sister, won the 2020 country album in New Mexico. It's amazing! I bought the CD at the cafe and listened on the way home to Albuquerque. Rooster does live shows at Giddy Up too and we will be coming back to hear her live. Come for friendly folks, local finds, amazing and lovingly prepared food and maybe, if you're lucky, you will hear Rooster sing.

A weekend special: Banh Mi, sesame ginger noodles and gazpacho. Just perfect on a 100 degree evening.

This place is a gem in our little town. The food is creative and all homemade. They are open through the weekend and Monday mornings. Check out the weekend dinner special (avail Fri and Sat evenings). Whatever it is, it will be delicious. They always have options if you have dietary restrictions (veg, vegan, gf, etc). They have a nice little shaded patio to enjoy your meal. And the coffee is strong!

Rooster Blackspur's Green Chili Biscuits and Gravy! Only served on Sunday until supplies run out!! Get there early!

We love EVERYTHING about this place! Amazing farm to table food. The new owners (in the last three months) Sarah and Anthony (used to be owned by the amazing musician, Rooster Blackspur) are wonderful. The special recipes that change regularly are created by Sarah and are AMAZING! Her duck lasagna was one of the best dishes that my husband and I ever had, EVER. The green chili biscuits and gravy (a recipe that won awards in Alaska by Rooster Blackspur) is out of this world good! Everything we have tried on the menu has blown us away. The outdoor courtyard is so sweet with fun, upbeat, music. It is impossible to be in a bad mood when you are here. We are traveling the country in our RV and have had the honor to spend the last month in T or C and to meet the wonderful people here. And this place... one of our favorite restaurants we have EVER dined at. This is a place we will miss when we move on our journeys and we will look forward to returning to. Even our Goldendoodle, Freyja will miss this place since the owner/chef Sarah makes her delicious meals as well. Thank you Sarah and Anthony for offering such a lovely experience for us to enjoy.

Have loved this restaurant in the past and have gone each time we visited this town. At one point they served dinner but now only brunch. We were lined up with others when they opened at 10am and invited to sit in their outdoor courtyard but that food wouldn't be ready for another 20 minutes. Then others lined up to order and without any instruction we realized we now had to join a big line even though we were there early. A few unhappy customers left. The food was good though the delicious looking avocado was hard, tasteless and not at all ripe. The people are kind and food is creative. Be careful if you're under the trumpet vine as little ants were falling on us.

Last summer under the new management I also had the Ahi Tuna (yes, in the desert) and it was fabulous. Salads I've had were wonderful and today I had a quick bowl of chili. The service has been excellent. The staff is pleasant, attentive and know the menu as well as their jobs. The decor is continuing to be updated and there are new tables, new paint and new decor. I really hope the word get out about this great dining, snacking, golfing experience. I'll follow up again this coming summer. I can't wait to see you again.

I've eaten a lot of green chile cheese burgers around the state and I honestly can say this was one of the best I've ever had. The meat was seasoned so perfectly that every bite was savory. So many other things I want to try on the menu and hopefully we will soon again. I asked for salsa for the tacos but a cell phone took precedence and i was on the third one before it came. It's been here a long time but i can't call it quaint or charming. They did have mexican music in the speakers. i ll try another spot when we come back. Actually johnny b's taco plates looked very good the other night. That would be my next alternate.
