    Salmon special
    Cheryl S.

Homemade Hawaiian bread brought to table with butter. Yum and soft and fresh. We had a salad and soup (green chili chicken chowder). Sake was fresh and soup was perfect with a great balance of all the ingredients. Salmon special was what my husband had. Salmon was perfectly cooked. He had broccolini and a loaded bake potato. Excellent. My 18 oz. Prime rib was perfectly cooked with a nice seasoning. I had broccolini and sautéed mushrooms that came with the dinner. My steak had a huge portion of spinalis-perhaps the largest I've ever had at a restaurant, and I've been to Ruth's Chris and Fleming's, etc. Tender and delicious. We split the apple wonton dessert which was perfect. I'm glad my husband can help finish my order! Plentiful! Highly recommend this long-standing establishment. Clean and friendly and good service!

A gem in a small city. We decided to go up to T or C to enjoy the hot springs for our 13th anniversary and picked the only spot that had lobster on the menu. I'm glad we did. The ambiance is old school 70s restaurant, but the food and the one selection is excellent. Our server was awesome and the owner/manager went to EVERY table and said hi. I highly recommend

I was driving from Albuquerque to Las Cruces. It was getting dark and I would not have made dinner with my friends so I figured why not. I popped into Los Arcos in Truth or Consequences. This is an old building and the interior remains period specific and it appears to be a local favorite. I sat in the bar. The entire place reminded me of a brat pack era Vegas steakhouse. Service was good. Prices seemed high like a top notch steakhouse. I ordered the Los Arcos Chicken. A chicken breast grilled and covered with an Oscar side of sauce and crab meat. It came with a loaded baked potato, and broccoli. Now the not so great, the broccoli was way overcooked and bland. The chicken dish had good flavor, but the chicken was overcooked as well. At least I can say I have eaten in Truth or Consequences.

It was our first visit to Los Arcos. The parking lot was packed and now we know why. It's good! We both had steaks, and the oyster Rockefeller. Enjoyed both. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and we felt as though the steak quality and portion size were correct for the price. Beef prices are crazy high these days, so if you are going to order a steak, might as well be a good one, and this place didn't disappoint. Ambience was nice in the restaurant and the bar area was also great. Our waiter did a nice job and service was right on point. No complaints and I hope to return again soon.

I wish I could give a 3.5. The upside here is that this is open relatively late for a small town and the steaks were good. The downside was the lack of care with wine attentiveness and the glasses were not clean enough (water marks). My filet with green chilis and mornay was good but for the price I expected more. This is the most expensive steak on the menu and from what I could tell broccolini instead of broccoli was the upgrade. The ribeye was overcooked and the excuse was "it's the end of the day." That said staff was friendly and I was grateful to have a nice meal after 8pm in a small town.

The salsa wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing. We ended up getting the Grilled Chicken Quesadillas appetizer and a Sopaipilla. The quesadillas came with way more food than we expected and they were cooked nicely, but a bit bland. The lettuce was also very wilted and old. The sopaipilla was huge! We were surprised it wasn't crispier, but it was still super tasty! I would definitely get that again. Besides the sopaipilla, it seems like a pretty average food place. I would come again, but it's not a must for me.

This place popped up on the map nearby and was chosen by a family member. We went in for an early dinner around 5pm, with a reservation as other reviews said to reserve and we had 8 people. At that time, we didn't need to book anything, was plenty of space, but by the time we left it had filled up in the front bar and seating area near the fireplace and the dining room in the back where we had been. The food was solid. A couple people in our group ordered the ribeye which was good, a burger, and we had 2 servings of the green chile pork stew, that was my favorite thing. It had a really nice green chile flavor and some good heat to it. I liked the cheese, sour cream, and delicious tortillas served with it. I ordered a glass of wine but I didn't love it, it was a heavier red than I like, should have had a beer or iced tea. All in all, a unique restaurant to have a family dinner, with an old time ambiance and modern service & food. They have a door to the old opera house area that people can go check out, it was definitely run down and lackluster back there. Doesn't seem to be used at this time and smelled of fried food. Maybe kitchen smells waft back there. Not much of a draw, however the front entrance and saloon area was cool. They had a live musician, couldn't hear it in the back dining room but I saw him by the big painting of cartoonish nude woman.

The manager incorrectly stated that service dogs must wear a vest to be recognized as service animals and demanded that we provide a "service animal certificate." We were then told that such certificates were not valid and that service animals must be registered in New Mexico before being allowed into the restaurant. None of these statements are consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Service dogs are not required to wear vests, carry certificates, or be registered with any state in order to access public accommodations. It is deeply concerning that a manager responsible for serving the public appears to have such a poor understanding of federal disability law. The experience was embarrassing, discriminatory, and completely unnecessary. I have traveled extensively throughout the United States with my service dogs and have never been treated this way. I strongly encourage management to educate staff on ADA requirements before another customer is subjected to the same treatment. Until then, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone who relies on a service animal.

He has beaten stage four cancer three separate times. Needless to say, his career military background and having just retired in October 2025 served him well. He has faced every diagnosis head-on like the true American soldier he is. During one of our quiet conversations, he shared something that clearly weighed on him. He was heartbroken that he never got the chance to take his wife out for their 55th wedding anniversary in December because he was in the hospital. The next day, I asked him a simple question. If you could pick one restaurant within a 100-mile radius, just one, where would you want to go once you had your strength back? Without hesitation, he said La Posta. Over the next few weeks, a lot changed. He was released from the hospital. He slowly began to regain his strength. First the cane went away, then short walks turned into longer ones, and eventually he was even driving himself from LC to EPT for doctor's appointments. When I finally asked if he felt strong enough to go to that meal we had talked about, he lit up. He started telling me stories. How his father used to bring him to La Posta. How it had remained top notch throughout the years. He went into detail about every menu item he loved. But the one thing he really wanted me to understand was the ambiance. You will get it when you are there, he told me. I called to see if they took reservations. We were not even sure they did. A young woman named Priscilla answered the phone. I explained the situation. My uncle was finally strong enough to return to his favorite restaurant, one that held a lifetime of memories, and he had missed celebrating his 55th wedding anniversary. I told her I wanted to surprise them and make the night unforgettable. I even mentioned I was planning to have flowers delivered. Priscilla did not hesitate. She immediately connected me with her manager, Teresa. I asked if we could have a larger table than one meant for three people because my uncle wanted to order everything. Honestly, I just wanted him to eat, to enjoy himself, to feel normal again. Teresa agreed without question. Then something unexpected happened. Teresa explained that Priscilla was a single mom of two who had recently started a floral business on the side and truly wanted to help make this night special. She asked if it would be okay to involve her. Of course, I said yes. I was transferred back to Priscilla and told her to go big. No expense spared. I gave her full creative freedom and an unlimited budget. Unbeknownst to me, Priscilla partnered with a friend who specialized in balloon arrangements. What she created was nothing short of breathtaking. Place cards. Multiple floral centerpieces. An ornate floral display. A large professional sign welcoming my aunt and uncle to the restaurant. She handled everything with grace, professionalism, and kindness, even as our party grew from three people to thirteen. And then the story took a turn. The day before the dinner, my uncle was rushed into emergency surgery. Suddenly, everything was uncertain. Half the family canceled to stay at the hospital. We kept Priscilla updated as events unfolded. Not once did she complain. Not once did she lose her composure. She adapted to every change with pure professionalism and empathy. She even adjusted the floral arrangements when we decided to bring flowers and food to the hospital instead. That is when I learned that the owners of La Posta had been informed of the situation. The male manager on duty, and I regret not remembering his name, passed along a message from them expressing their deepest condolences and gratitude. He also shared that they wished they could have been there to meet my uncle. There really are still good people in this world. After her shift ended at 4 p.m., Priscilla went to pick up her kids and then came back to the restaurant just to meet me. She walked me through everything she had created and explained the work behind it. When I asked how much I owed her, she paused and said she wanted to bless my family and could not accept payment. I was overwhelmed. Her work would have easily cost four to five hundred dollars. I insisted on tipping her at the very least, and she reluctantly agreed. The food that night was incredible. We had a wonderful server, and the food was amazing. We ordered extra meals to go so my cousins could bring my uncle his favorite dishes back to the hospital. It was a small way to lift his spirits during one of the darkest moments our family has faced. My uncle asked me to thank you for the food. And I want to thank everyone at La Posta for the hospitality, the compassion, and the humanity. When my uncle regains his strength and comes home again, we will return with his wife so he can finally give her the 55th wedding anniversary dinner they both deserve.

It was ground sirloin with mushrooms, grilled onions, and jack cheese on top. It was pretty good. My sides were the steak fries and the corn. My companion ordered the prime rib.
