Normally I would avoid Republican coffee like the plague. Typically coffee is best served by lefty blue-haired androgynous tattooed baristas with dead, glazed-over eyes and a lackluster attitude. When i think cowboy boots i think tepid, drip-coffee sitting on a burner in police-station break room, being filtered into the mouth of an overweight, but no-nonsense detective with crumbs in his wilford-brimley mustache. This place is dripping with a barn-y, live-laugh-love vibe. It's very yeehaw. And they play Christian music; which, messaging aside I probably wouldn't mind except Christian music is always across-the-board godawful. Point being, it is a very specific vibe. But. The owner runs a tight ship. It's a high volume place and no one is lolly-gagging; everyone is bouncing around on their toes, nimble and bright-eyed, ready to test the limits of their blenders with the just-called-in-order of 14 smoothies and fraps, on top of the snaked-around-the-building line for the drive-thru. They have a good system, and are usually on point, with efficiency and speed and accuracy. I have been going there for the better part of a decade and i have never had a drink screwed up. Furthermore, my drink is always consistent, regardless of who makes it -big points for that. There's another place in town where my choice beverage varies wildly in taste and consistency depending on who is working that day. Also they don't use any of those garbage Monin liquid syrups; they use the better Torani syrups, and even better, they mix the espresso with the syrup, so that it's emulsified properly in iced coffee-drinks and not just sitting heavy on the bottom of the cup for you to suck up in one go through your straw. read more

Went to this place for quite awhile regularly. Had a bad experience with a barista who clearly had a problem with me and was blatantly discriminated against when I asked her to correct an order. Had someone call me afterwards and likely pretend to be the owner as they acted very immaturely and used the name I only ever use to order with and not the name I left on their voicemail when I made a complaint. I can not imagine any good business owner would have ever communicated with a regular customer the way he did with me.Time will tell what happens to the business. read more

The drive was easy to access. I ordered a 24 oz Toffee Nut Crunch iced coffee and a warm blueberry bagel with Honey Walnut cream cheese. The server was very friendly and helped me with my order. I love this spot and it's been my go-to now that my Dad is in a nursing home nearby. They have great coffee and pastries and the folks behind the counter are always polite and accommodating. The wi-fi was a little spotty when I was there last time, but might be a one-off. The space has great decor with a very cozy feel. Went to the location at Bridge & Main. Clean and inviting with friendly staff to boot! We chose Seasonal coffees: Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie and Shady Pumpkin. The BBCCC has a forward taste of the brown butter and delicious. The Shady Pumpkin is also wonderful with a heavier pumpkin flavor than the Frosted pumpkin which is shades of pumpkin behind the cinnamon roll flavor. Highly suggest this place. I will say the coffee is great. However, drive thru service is very slow. I got in line at 8:14. I finally got to the window to put in my order at 8:33. I didn't get my order until 8:41. The problem is sometimes the people working the drive thru window don't move people up to the "waiting spaces" after they placed their order. One morning I did move up and the girl working the windows walked out to my car and said she cancelled my order because I moved up. She said I had to only move up if she said so even though there was no one in front of me and a long line of cars behind me. She was not kind at all in the way she spoke. After the way she talked to me I thought about never coming back. The other problem is they always seem to be out of the cinnamon raisin bagels. My husband and I have been stopping by Giddy-Up Coffeehouse in Washington, NC every day while we've been here in town and I am beyond thrilled and excited to share a review about the service, the drinks and even the food treats that we've purchased over the last 5 days during our stay. I remember growing up in Washington and the location was a gas station. I love how they have transitioned it into such a sweet, cute coffeehouse. The inside of the establishment is just adorable. We enjoyed coffee and smoothies throughout the day and even saw local students huddled up and working on projects. I cannot say enough about this location. The cashier got my order and the order ahead of mine wrong; both were made iced instead of hot. The manager on duty said I was lying when I told her I was never asked if I wanted it hot or iced. She refused to fix their mistake. Even when the person who ordered ahead of me spoke up and said the same thing happened to her, I was told that I was harassing the customers (I never initiated contact with anyone.) Even the owner said that there was obviously an error on the cashier's part, but she refused to correct the orders and the manager had done nothing wrong. Basically, save the trouble and your emotional well being. If they make an innocent mistake, you too could be a liar, may be accused of harassing people you haven't spoken to, and will still be left with an overpriced wrong order. read more

UPDATE: I Originally gave a one star review because of the ridiculous wait time in the drive-thru, however, it is apparent that the ownership is trying diligently to make the wait time better. I still believe ordering before the window would move things along faster, but I like some of the new measures they've added to speed up the wait, namely the pulling forward of larger orders. This really is the best coffee in town and I've never had any complaints about the quality of their beverages. I also really love the bagels. Inconsistent pricing, staff never moves quickly. Even after telling the staff how to make the drink, it is usually made incorrectly. After multiple visits, I am usually disappointed...very rarely do I enjoy my coffee, even after spending $5 or more. On the most recent visit I stood at the register for close to 10 minutes, with multiple employees telling me they would help me soon. Once I ordered, I was told the espresso machine was not working. The only things keeping them from five stars are parking lot (Which desperately needs to be patched up where the service station had an island) and their hours need to run a little later.
