Traveling through Little Falls for work and stopped in to Italian Feast to grab a bite to eat....and what a feast it was!! I ordered the Hats & broccoli and the dish was enormous! Came out piping hot with enough food for at least two people! I couldn't even finish it. It was preceded with a salad and garlic knots, which were lite and fluffy; but had I known how large the meal was going to be, I would have forgone polishing off the two garlic knots. I want to preface this review by saying that I am a native Long islander who grew up near NYC and was raised on the best of the best Italian food. I am nit-picky and very pretentious when it comes to food, especially Italian food. Italian Feast was something spectacular and deserves nothing less than five stars. This place was like an oasis in the middle of the desert. Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart. In walks in three burly tattooed dudes and a chick in dirty combat boots (me). We were camping from our spot 30 minutes away and we all looked pretty rough. Our waitress was super sweet and treated us as if we were locals that just waltzed in every day. This is something special because many times we come into towns as outsiders and are treated as such, but this waitress was so sweet and friendly and fun. She gave us genuine warmth and didn't treat us like aliens from another plant. I wish i remembered her name because she deserves a shoutout ! The food was incredible. The portions were enormous. We had a pizza and onion petals as an appetizer for four and still had plenty to wrap and take home. My boyfriend ordered the chicken riggies and was blown away. I tried some too and they were spicy enough and perfect. I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta and it was amazing . The garlic knots were beyond our expectorations too. I want to give Italian Feast five stars, because I have had some absolutely DELICIOUS dinners from them, quite a few times. Disappointingly, I have also had about an equal amount of really not-good ones. (Pizza was very overcooked and toppings were dry/hard/brown the last time I ordered one; twice, the riggies did not contain any vegetables! I called after the first time to ask if there was a possible mixup with another order, and I was told they didn't have some of the ingredients--peppers or mushrooms. I confirmed that they had all the ingredients that night before ordering them again but was disappointed a second time by bland, overcooked riggies that were still very sparse on the veggies.) I don't want to discourage people from ordering from this local business, but I don't think I should have been charged full price for these dinners without someone calling me to ask if I still wanted to order what was essentially just bland, soft rigatoni with chicken chunks. Twice in a row. It was consistently phenomenal when I ordered back in the fall; I am not sure if the difference is due to availability of ingredients (Covid-related) or if there's a new cook on staff who doesn't care as much about the food he prepares. My worst memory of Italian Feast: we're outside in our car, and an employee is bringing in boxes of ingredients. He drops a head of lettuce on the sidewalk. He looks around, believes nobody saw this, and throws this dirty head of lettuce back in the box with the other veggies. This is NOT the place you want to eat. Food was awful and tasted as if it were preciously frozen. It was inedible. My husband and I spent $40 for food we threw away.

"Pizza" regionally, the sauce is on top, which is not my preference but I would have been able to adapt if the individual components were good, but the sauce tasted like ketchup, the cheese was cold and gluey, and the crust was flavorless and dry. We also ordered spaghetti with light butter for a child, light butter should not be congealed at the bottom of the bowl- it's hard to mess up pasta & butter but this place did.. lastly we ordered chicken fingers & fries, also a child's meal but the fryer has been used for fish fries - so everything tastes fishy. May be just because they have only 4 beers on tap :) Minus: seems like they use marinara sauce for all pastas they make, so it's better to mention it before you order. I've been here on two different occasions and I've gotten the same thing twice, the chicken riggies. I can make my own chicken riggies at home, but because they're so time consuming, I like to order them out at different restaurants to see how mine compare. The riggies here were great. They had a lot of yummy things in them and weren't skimpy like most places. The portion was great as well and I end up taking some home. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is because when I ordered dessert, they brought out this very small limp looking piece of carrot cake. As we sit patiently in the back of the restaurant and overhear the compliments of neighboring patrons our anticipation builds. Our table is set with real china and silverware. The absence of music allows us to listen in on the friendly banter emanating from the kitchen where our pizza is incubating. It's been a year since our last team pizza assessments upstate and we are on edge with anticipation. My team mates are critical of the decor. I think they're just hungry. Sause for appetizer is missing. I call and no one answers. I drove back. They closed 40 minutes early. Had to drive to the grocery store to get sauce. Get home and have to reheat food. We're trying to support our local restaurants. We decided to order from Italian Feast. My husband wanted a calzone, which he said was wonderful. It was more expensive than local restaurants. $1.50 additional per topping is twice the cost of most other places nearby. I ordered chicken riggies, which based on this order, I can't recommend. The pasta was overcooked, chicken was scarce, no mushrooms or sweet peppers and the sauce was watery. It was as is the pasta was reheated and the water not drained off. Where to start? There were two waitresses working, and they were both friendly. We loved the atmosphere. There was several other groups or couples there, including a large group with children, but the tables are spaced out and we didn't feel crowded. Our waitress was busy, but she took very good care of us. She was attentive and thoughtful, bringing us more drinks before we asked, wrapping up a take-out salad and putting in the fridge until we left, and checking on us often.
