What a fantastic meal. Not much to say. Absolutely fantastic. Especially during off-season their winter pri-fix menu is amazing. A lot of comments about prices and perhaps portions, but when the food taste this good and the presentation is this beautiful it's worth it. The desserts were next level. The Smashburger with fries was from the night after dinner for lunch. One of the best burgers I have ever consumed. Separate review of the actual resort is another story. Came to Gigi's cause there were lot of mentions of it on TikTok. The view of the water from inside was gorgeous and the interior was pretty. The food was good, but my friend was celebrating her birthday, and it was never acknowledged even though it was on the reservation. We got the lamb chops, creamed spinach, fries, oysters, and my friends all got rigatoni alla vodka. Service was very slow. It took about 40 minutes for the food to come out after we waited 20 minutes to put in the order. The view was beautiful for the first hour before sunset, but by the end, I just wanted to get out of there. read more

Came here during my day trip to the Hamptons. We had a 2:30 PM reservation and was immediately seated. It was a nice day so we decided to sit outdoors to get some breeze and overlook the beach. Our waiter was very attentive allowed us a tasting before we selected our wine option. When it came to picking things to order, we basically got a little bit of everything from the menu. From the shrimp cocktail oysters, clam chowder, and salmon crudo. Everything was nice and fresh. Also ordered the Branzino, rigatoni and steak frites. Food was delicious, service was great, and ambiance was pretty - it didn't feel like a hotel restaurant. I will say, I made the reservation months in advance for the winter prix fixe, but upon our arrival, we were told the special wasn't happening because of the holiday weekend. I understand, but someone could have called in advance to confirm and update my reservation. Regardless, the food was tasty. The tuna was phenomenal. The oysters were fresh. The reviews for Gigi's are a bit negative so we almost didn't go. Is it pricey? Yes. But is the food good. Yes. We went for Christmas brunch (so one of the few places that was open). The service was excellent- efficient and welcoming. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. The setting was beautiful, but for the fact that there were boards covering most of the view of the ocean in the main dining room. The shakshuka was delicious, the tomato sauce and short ribs were flavorful. The avocado toast was good. The avo was nice and ripe, but there was less than one cherry tomato on the dish. This is the restaurant on Gurney's property. The place is newly designed. The outdoor deck is beautiful over looking the ocean. We ordered old fashions. We were disappointed when it came in a plastic wine cup with lots of ice is an understatement. Order your drinks from the inside bar and bring them out. Ask for the large ice cube. We had a beautiful table overlooking the ocean which was beautiful. I had the tuna and my husband had the lobster tagliatelle. Both were just ok. The staff were excellent! Unfortunately we wanted to go to the bar for a night cap but the new design has stairs to get down. How does that happen? So we couldn't get there. My husband can't walk and uses a mobility scooter. How did the town approve that design! We spoke to the manager. He was very apologetic. Once again another business is like f those disabled people. Shame on you! read more

First time coming to the new restaurant at gurneys, Gigi's, and based on the reviews here we were a bit skeptical if it was going to be really good or just okay, but the meal and service (and ambiance as always here) was so good I feel inclined to leave a review in case anyone else comes to yelp before going. My boyfriend and I are avid diners, eating out at least once a day in the city and 80-90% of restaurants being of this caliber, and are in the hamptons for his birthday. We decided to come to Gigi's for dinner on his birthday, seeing as Gurneys is always beautiful and Scarpetta in the past had made for great meals. We were more than happily surprised by how amazing dinner and the drinks were at the newer opened, Gigi's. Our waiter was also incredible and made my boyfriend's birthday dinner amazing! The food was absolutely amazing including the bread (with a delicious butter) and chocolate dessert not featured in the photos here. Again, this experience was so great and exactly what we were hoping for so I just wanted to leave a review so anyone else checking yelp before coming would know as well! Hands down our best meal of the season! We brought friends who were visiting Montauk for the first time and are very well traveled and they were in awe at the view. We were right on the edge overlooking the water and it was a beautiful night. Wine list was solid after startling with Espresso Martinis and then onto crude apps. The angry lobster was fantastic and the cod was very good. We shared something for dessert not sure what they brought us but it was delicious. I do not love the dining room redo...not sure why they took down all those beautiful amber glass lights but the atmosphere overall was great. read more

My husband had the scallops and it was also excellent. Started w/ prawns app I think. Came with crunchy bread. First time went with family and they were also very impressed. I can't remember what everyone had but I had the salmon (fantastic) and my husband had the chicken (again, fantastic). Gigi's is very pretty. Like, "we spent the entire budget on lighting and chairs" pretty. It's aesthetically polished and clearly going for upscale chic. Now, let's talk about the service. Our head waiter was fantastic, warm and professional. We know this because we saw him once. To take our order. And then... he vanished into what I can only assume was another dimension. Enter: the man in the feathered fedora. Manager? Host? Performance artist? Hard to say. He swooped in approximately four minutes after we sat down, clearly concerned we might require time to read a menu. But when we dared to want a second cocktail later? Gone. Nowhere. A myth. A legend. Oh wait -- we did eventually spot him. Twirling and vibing at the service island while we were scanning the room for hydration. We ultimately flagged down the very kind sommelier for another drink -- which was not wine, but at that point we would have accepted Capri Sun in a martini glass. The food itself? Honestly, delicious. They absolutely know how to cook. No complaints there. The only catch is the price -- which feels slightly ambitious for what arrives at the table. It does appear to be the same kitchen that services the entire hotel, which explains a lot. Earlier we waited 30 minutes for a $25 breakfast sandwich at Dune because the kitchen was "busy." Busy seems to be the restaurant's unofficial mascot. And now, dessert. Or... not. On Valentine's Day, a holiday practically built for chocolate, we were informed they couldn't offer their dessert menu because the kitchen was too busy. Instead, we were presented with a hard chocolate brownie heart and the sweetest whipped cream known to mankind. We were told not to worry, we wouldn't be charged. Service was slower and it took forever until someone came and actually poured us water and gave menus, but I had very low expectations for the meal itself given the reviews. Yes, there was construction still going on in the lobby, but the restaurant itself and outdoor table area weren't impacted. I got the lobster pasta and it was a generous portion and not bland at all. The onion rings with the "secret sauce" were well worth it too. i would give this place a zero if i could, and we never even got to the food. Gigi's took over the spot where Scarpetta used to be, which was one of my favorite restaurants in the Hamptons. It was the only place you could dine, and dine fairly well, while looking at the ocean. Not going there anymore. We had an 8pm reservation, and we got there at 7:55. There are a bunch of tables outside, and then a massive indoor eating area. At Scarpettas, the indoor seating was warm and open, and it felt like you were a part of the outdoor area, especially when you were by the open windows. We were told by the hostess that there was a 30 minute wait for an outdoor table, even though there were 5 outdoor tables open. We were also told that there were 5 couples ahead of us for outdoor tables. They offered to seat us inside, and since we were hungry, we thought we would try that. The formerly warm and comfortable indoor seating of Scarpettas now had the warmth and ambiance of a middle school cafeteria. There was not a single person eating inside this massive tribute to the color cream other than us, and when we asked if they could open the glass doors so we could see outside and warm up a bit (it was freezing inside) they said they could not. So we were dining alone in naugahide hell staring at a dark glass door and freezing, while 4 tables still remained empty outdoors. I'm not sure if they were holding those tables for groups of four, but we were told that outdoor tables were first come first served (you can't reserve outdoors), and we were sitting at an indoor table for 4. So if we took the outdoor tables, since we were there first, and a party of 4 came, couldn't they take the table we were sitting at? It was so depressingly bad that we walked out without ever ordering. read more

We were in the Hamptons recently celebrating my best friend's bachelorette and had planned what was meant to be a special sunset dinner at Gigi's. Unfortunately, what should have been a highlight ended up derailing the rest of our getaway. Half of our group became violently ill for two full days afterward. After comparing what each person ate, we narrowed it down to the halibut, as it was the only dish those who got sick had in common. I contacted the restaurant the next day to inform them and request a partial refund. Despite leaving multiple messages over the following week, I never received a response. I eventually obtained a manager's email and reached out directly. His reply was incredibly disappointing -- he dismissed it as the halibut being "quite rich" and that for guests "unaccustomed to such a savory preparation, it can occasionally cause stomach discomfort." This was not simple "stomach discomfort" -- it was severe food poisoning that left half our group bedridden and extremely unwell. The lack of accountability or concern from the restaurant is shocking. We will not be returning. read more

During a really lovely 3 day stay at Gurney's Saltwater Spa in Montauk last week, my wife and I had an unexpectedly wonderful dinner at Gigi's. It was really one of the top highlights of our stay. The very nice and helpful waiter, Felix, and the warm and knowledgeable manager, Mimmo, both made us feel welcome and special, and helped us order a delicious and perfect meal. It was so good that we look forward to returning, just to go to Gigi's without necessarily staying at the spa. I couldn't recommend it more highly. read more

We ordered two steaks: one medium, and one medium plus 2. What we received were drastically undercooked dishes, one rare, and the other at best medium rare. My husband's steak was sent back three times, yet each time it was returned with no noticeable improvement. When we requested to speak with the manager, we were met not with understanding or accountability, but with condescension. He attributed the undercooked steak to the LED lighting on the table and insisted that perceptions of doneness vary. Even if that were true, shouldn't a steak ordered as medium plus at least arrive medium? What was most disappointing, however, was not the mistake in cooking, but the dismissive attitude and lack of care shown by the manager. Remarking multiple times that he worked at steak houses in NYC and he knows what he was talking about. We went to GiGi's and had a beautiful birthday celebration. the food was amazing! The entire staff is incredible. They were all so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed immediately. Vladimir is a professional server with such class and a great disposition. A true gem! Amos the Manager has a grand personality and such a great sense of humor.
