The food is excellent and the margaritas are delicious the ambience is very chill and laid back, the service is very pleasant and served well. Staff is friendly and very relaxed. It's right next door to Shagwong which is nice as well if u wanna get VERY DRUNK and listen to music after a delicious dinner. GO FOR IT!! You'll be satisfied.

FIVE STARS for the key lime pie alone! I've not been this excited about key lime pie since 2013 in Key West! This was the best I've had since the first time I've ever tried it. The mussels were great too. We ordered both the white wine mussels and Thai (both good but white wine better). Order mussels with extra broth if you're sharing. The chicken was good with the chili sauce. Duck was ok. The tuna taquitos were VERY good. Cheesecake was creamy and good as well but, obviously the highlight was the key lime pie then the mussels.

Great service, Excellent food, laid back beach vibe. Spicy Margarita and food presentation on point. Indoor/outdoor seating options. The first place I tried on the first day as a first time to The End. Going to be hard to beat

Stopped by for dinner after visiting the lighthouse & the food was delicious! The highlight was def the lobster rolls that was packed with lobster meat. Absolutely delicious! The servers were also very attentive and fast. Would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again!

Friendly staff, good gluten free options, and good food that has flavor. The gluten free burger and bun was great.

We got margaritas with Codigo tequila. I rarely have high end tequila with my margarita so this was a treat. It was delicious. It was spicy and yummy. We also got smashed little potatoes that were delicious as well. The only downfall is that it is very pricey two drinks and an appetizer was almost $60.

I've been coming here since 2018 and never missed a visit whenever i'm by Montauk and they have never failed me every single time. The food is consistently great, the people are awesome, and the ambiance is always top-tier. Whenever I get a chance, I always get a bowl of mussels as my entree at restaurants and they have the best one by far! I'm already thinking of going back for it before we head home. My son loved their kids quesadillas as well. Definitely worth the stop if you are in the area.

Hot lobster roll has great presentation, but it's an 8/10. Bar service seems like everywhere in Montauk, if you're a local, you're treated well, but if they don't recognize you, there's no real hospitality or service. I sat at the small bar and nobody paid attention, when they finally noticed me, I had to ask for a menu and water instead of being presented with it, ya know, like you do when a guest sits down. I would give 3 stars because, as a hospitality professional, I would appreciate better service when spending $49 on a lobster roll. What am I tipping for? However, in general, I think this is a cute spot close to the beach, I hope they do better.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Montauk!!! The food is the best in town and they have RANGE. From Thai mussels to fish tacos to chicken wings to ribs to pasta dishes to lamberginis to fresh tuna tartare, they can do it all (which a lot of restaurants can't say). A lot of their ingredients are local and seasonal which makes it even more special!! Ambiance is 10/10 - major surf town, coastal, classic local MTK vibes. Super cute fresh flowers everywhere and the most whimsical details. Unreal drinks, staff is always fun and so friendly as well. The place is run by the best local family and they easily make Montauk feel like home for everyone. If you're looking for a place where everything on the menu is 10/10 and feel the most fun Montauk vibes yet, look no further. And don't forget to try the key lime pie!!!!

Such a fun place! The vibes and tunes are great. It's a popular spot so expect a but of a wait if you're there at prime time. We had about a 20 minute wait around 7-8PM on a Monday night, and by they were ready to seat us they were telling people it was an hour wait! The food was fresh and delicious. We had a really nice time. The only bad thing I can say is that we ordered an empanada appetizer off the menu not realizing that it was truly just one empanada - while delicious, it was a bit disappointing for the price and not what you expect when ordering an appetizer to share!

Came here for dinner on a weekend get away with my wife to Montouk and the food here was amazing. Upon arriving the inside was packed, and me and my wife really didn't want an eat outside because it was cold that night. The waitstaff guy outside was very nice and sat me and my wife next to a lamp that was outside and it was a little warmer. For an appetizer we got a Cuban empanada and it was out of this world. A lil small and you only got one for $12 dollars but it was excellent. For entrees I got a pat La Frieda bacon cheese burger that was out of this world. I love pat La Frieda blend of burgers and steaks. Pat La Frieda is too tier and the burger was amazing. My wife got the Hawaiian baby back ribs that were some of the best ribs I had in a long time. Ribs were small but very good and packing a lot of flavor. They give you a full rack and the corn bread that comes with it was some of the best corn bread I ever had. This place was very good and I highly recommend if you're staying in Montauk.

Wow! Heads up - the juicy, delicious lamb sliders can spray you with delicious flavors, napkins advised. Spicy Thai muscles are perfectly cooked. I am gluten free, loved the delicious gf bun. Why can't more restaurants have buns like these. Beach chic beauties are smart, nice & attentive. The atmosphere is very chill, right off the beach. Outdoor seating recommended

Came here on an off season Monday night, but all my expectations were blown away one after the other. Starting with the atmosphere, it's pretty unassuming from the front and looks like a typical dive bar, but it's got a lot of charm once you get inside and get to experience some of the eclectic design choices. Huge shout out to our server Blaine and the kitchen staff for accommodating our large-ish party and a whole boat load of questions and requests we had. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and most of all patient! I'd probably recommend this place for his service alone. But luckily The Gig Shack has a lot more to offer than just that. We shared orders of the beet and goat cheese salad as well as the wings (which they subbed out for duck wings while we were there, which to me is just an improvement as a duck lover) and both were fresh and delicious. Wings come in orders of four so make sure you order enough for everyone! Trust me they are so worth it. For my main entree, I had the crispy chicken which was perfectly portioned and delicious, the mustard cream sauce I would put on damn well near anything. Also tried their ribs and they are were fall off the bone tender and could easily keep up with any BBQ joint I've been to. The rest of our party also tried the fluke, the clam chowder and the blackened tile fish and all of them had nothing but wonderful things to say. It may have been my first real stay out in Montauk, but this place definitely will be a place I bring friends for all my return trips.

Truly, the cocktails and menu at this restaurant are so inventive and flavor packed it feels as if there has to be something supernatural happening in the kitchen and behind the bar. We came here in early May and sat at the bar. Dillon took great care of us, walked us through the menu and made stellar recommendations all around. After having my mind blown by the Everything Bagel Martini, we moved on to share the charred octopus and Leggy's Thighs. The charred octopus was tender, and paired so well with the citrus fruits on this plate, plus the bite of pistachios?! So well put together. Leggy's thighs (RIP Leggy) were literally the best chicken I'd ever had, fall off the bone tender and topped off with flavorful furikake and hot pickled fresno chilis. We also split the Wagyu sando which I'm literally still thinking about. Wagyu on milkbread?! What an excellent idea. Live acoustic music was going on the night we were here which really added to the cozy ambiance. They also have trivia here on Thursdays (Dillon, if you're reading this, we hope your team wins the championship). 10/10 no notes. Come here if you can get a table.

We had driven nearly three hours from Nassau County specifically to dine at this restaurant and had also waited an additional hour just to be seated. Being rushed out so quickly, especially after being told we would have the table until 6:10 PM, made us feel unwelcome and significantly detracted from what should have been an enjoyable dining experience. The food and atmosphere were lovely, but the lack of consistency in communication and the pressure to leave our table so soon left a very negative impression.
