Recently ate at mavericks in montauk. The food is absolutely delicious and the service was so friendly and great. This was my second time returning and I definitely recommend when in Montauk.

The Wagyu steak was absolutely incredible! The beet salad with pistachio puree and the soft super fresh rolls were great pairings along with an incredible ambiance set on the beautiful Fort Pond. The staff is amazing! Highly recommend checking out this Montauk Gem

Mavericks's prices are astronomical, but our experience was decidedly down to earth. Reserved a few weeks ahead requesting a sunset view table for a birthday celebration, but was given a small table with no view instead, just a few inches from our neighbors. Our server Shiljo acknowledged the birthday with a glass of bubbly, and he was friendly and helpful throughout the meal. My "Verdant Vesper" cocktail was fresh, a pretty green and tasty. Grilled oysters with kimchee were delicious but a paltry portion. Unfortunately our entrees fell flat. Why oh why would anyone obscure the sweet natural taste of fresh lobster with a very spicy thick red sauce, as the Chef did in his version of lobster radiatori? I'm fine with some judiciously used spice, but not when the star of the show is obscured. Partner's strip steak was a thick slab of bland beef, fairly tender but utterly lacking in taste/texture/marbling as prime meat should have. Creamed spinach side arrived with a large round marrow bone stuck in the middle of the bowl, a black spoon weirdly protruding from its center. The white gooey marrow wasn't cooked enough, so overall an unappetizing presentation. Cheesecake with a small dab of preserves was tasty and light. An interesting $$$$ experience, not one I'd necessarily care to repeat. Maybe I'm just not the intended audience for this particular culinary performance, and that's OK.

Amazing meal from start to finish. Great views, great service, and I think the best food in Montauk. I am celiac and they even modified almost everything so that I could still eat it. The steak was prepared PERFECTLY, vegetables sourced so mindfully, and they definitely know how to make a cocktail

My new favorite spot in the Hamptons. The service is phenomenal, the food is fantastic, the atmosphere is elegant and the view is beautiful. The steak is cooked to perfection, and the food comes out fast. I will be back!!

Came for my birthday and had a great dining experience. All the food was fresh and flavorful. Cannot wait to come back again

Just....WOW. This was my first experience at Mavericks and it was absolutely incredible. First, let me say how great it was to have so many N/A drink options! The mocktails were killer! The food was out of this world. The apps were amazing, with my favorite being the tuna tartare. As for the entrees, I have never been a fan of swordfish, but my friend convinced me to try it and OH MY GOODNESS. It was delicious. The NY Strip was cooked PERFECTLY and the Amagansett Potato Gratin was my favorite! As for deserts....don't sleep on the key lime pie or the cheesecake. The view was stunning and the service was even better. I will 100% be returning!!!

We recently tried Mavericks in Montauk and it was phenomenal! This is their sophomore season and they specialize in steaks We begin our meals with the Parker House Rolls, which are made in-house by their pastry chef! You MUST get, they're delicious! We also loved the Caesar salad It had a nice lemon flavored to it Their secret menu item is a gourmet burger made with ribeye fillet and New York strip meat and it is TO DIE FOR!! Seriously it is so good! It comes with Gruyère cheese and caramelized onions on a homemade Parker House roll. This is not on the menu, so be sure to ask your server about it. Come first serve to get in order to have one because it is the best burger we've ever had!! The lobster pasta was amazing. It is served with a spicy tomato basil sauce and the cavatelli is cooked to perfection! We all loved this dish. It's definitely one of the better pasta dishes we've ever had. If you are a lobster fan, this is for you! All the desserts made in house as well! You MUST GET the pecan pie, it was out of this world!! The crunchy pecans mixed with the warm pie and vanilla ice cream on top with a great combo and our favorite dessert! We also love ice cream sandwich with homemade chocolate chip cookies, you can never go wrong with a cookie The Staff is very knowledgeable of their menu and gave many great recommendations! Our waitress was so kind and thanks to her we had the best meal ever!! Additionally, the views of Fort Pond are amazing. You can dine either inside or outside. Both are beautiful in their own way! They also have a great bar. This is definitely a great place for dinner and drinks with friends If you were coming to Montauk this summer, you must come here #longisland #longislandeats #longislandfoodie #lifoodie #lifood #eeeeeats #foodandwine #foodies #tryitordiet #devourpower #eatfamous #brunch #lunch #dinner #dailyfoodfeed #eattheworld #cheatdayeats #cheatday #cheatmeal #delicious #foodieztm #foodiesinternationalchat #eatwithfoodiez#foodieexplorertribe #foodandbeverageonly

Know that there is picnic table seating outdoors on nice days or a pretty big parking lot to enjoy your meal. I'm sure it gets packed during peak summer hours. The portions are huge! For 3 people we ordered lobster bisque, tuna bites, lobster Mac and cheese, a tuna poke bowl, sweet potato fries, and regular fries. Everything is made fresh to order and it was delicious! Literally the best lobster bisque I ever had. And the tuna bites were so unique - fresh tuna, breaded and deep fried. We aren't local but we will be back every time we are on the east end. The owner was also really nice and we wound up talking about camping in the area and things to do during the summer. Super friendly and welcoming!

That said, the food here is really fresh and the staff are incredibly nice. We kicked things off with New England Clam Chowder, Kickin Crab Corn Chowder and Lobster Bisque. The New England Clam Chowder was really delicious, one of the best I've had out here. Lobster Bisque was just okay for me, the Kickin Crab Corn Chowder was true to its name with a nice kick. We also had steamers which were fresh and delicious, and a softshell crab sandwich that was fried to perfection. Pricey but hey, it's Montauk. I wish I'd been hungrier because their tomato lobster special sounded out of this world. Everything was really solid. I'd come back.

Laid back, casual! The menu and what came out of the kitchen was exceptional and "5" worthy alone. We had some sushi grade tuna tacos with crispy wonton style shells. The tacos were dressed with all the right flavors and additions you would expect from a top sushi joint. Excellent! We also had Moroccan spiced lamb sliders! Wow good! Perfect! Go to the Gig Shack just to get this! 100% worthy the trip. Id say the menu is somewhat surfer-fusion with California taco influence. There are lots of options. We are glad we tried Gig Shack and will return. Highly recommended casual, cool vibe location, with fantastic food!
