The guy who came was very nice, answered all my idiotic questions and helped fix my problem. He then pitched some service plans to me. Given I knew very little about furnaces, I jumped all over it. He explained the basic plan would probably work best as it was inexpensive and covered 2 scheduled visits (spring - heat to AC) and in fall (AC to heat). No pressure in upselling or anything.
