I am very generous for giving them one star rating. The worst motel that we stayed in recently. I had a difficulty with walking due to recent foot surgery and asked whether we could have a first-floor room. The desk guy said: We need to pay additional $ 12.00 for the first-floor room and they had some empty rooms at first floor!! That was not the only problem. They didn't have smoke detectors on the celling. It was ripped off!! The little refrigerator didn't have knob and was making a loud noise without keeping our stuff cold!! Lots of our fruit got spoiled. The shower head was spaying tiny amount of water. I thought O was taking shower with an eyedrops The stairs that were going to the second floor was very uneven for the first 4 stairs. Total health hazard. On top of that they charged us $1 38.75 via booking.com, when their advertised rate was for 2023 was $75.00. No one should stay at this hotel for such a lousy service. They need to either fix up the place to comply with eh regulation or shut it down.

There is macaroni noodles on the wall of the bathroom they defiantly didn't clean at all

Will never stay at this hotel again terrible customer service and the rooms are disgusting just stay across the street at the comfort inn wayyyyy nicer and cleaner and it comes with breakfast

Horrible customer service. Their office wrecks, I made a reservation on hotels.com and was denied a room. I specifically called ahead to make sure if their was rooms available and the guy on the phone told me yes and abruptly hung up on me. When I showed up and told him he said I wasn't specific, yet the bastard hung up on me before I could even get another word. I been on the phone with hotels trying to get a refund since this dude is no help at all. I have stayed at this place numerous times since I do live 200 miles away and is right near all the big outlet stores and literally of the interaction, but never again!

    Bedbug bites.

DO NOT STAY HERE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This place is simply disgusting. We only stopped because it was midnight and I hope against hope no one ever stops here again. Not only is it the general cleanliness of the entire business, it's the fact they have bedbugs. It's 2020. Why is this still an issue? If this place cannot be bothered to check for bedbugs, how are they defending their customers (often simply travelers late at night) from COVID?

Manager is very friendly and very courteous. Price is reasonable and centrally located by the Gilroy Outlets. Will definitely stay here again. Namaste!

Decent room check in was smooth despite what u read on yelp

3 stars cuz this is not the hilton but it was not that bad. Simple , clean and check in was awesome!! Walked in the front office and BOOM got slapped in the nose by dudes wife cooking up curry something in the back like I really smelt it in my room that's how they got down here really big time now you mix garlic because you are in garlic capitol of the world plus motel curry and you got a fun night of smells at no extra charge :) I'd stay again right off the 101 convenient for me that day. Room was clean and the shower sucked but cmon I didn't pay a 1000$ so I know what to expect plus I'm a man and not a wee lil baby who's gonna complain about a smudge on the mirror.

Staying in town for a wedding we looked for a cheap two night stay but I guess you get what you pay for. The worst part is my first complaint; the clerk at the desk. He refused us more towels, when we asked the number to the office he didn't tell us, instead he told us that it's good exercise to walk back to the office if we needed anything. Then he was rude by telling us to leave the office. Inside the rooms nothing worked including the TV remote, the hair dryer burnt out while in use and the sink was leaking enough to wet my feet. The rude office and dirty room was just a bad experience altogether...

Half inch gap under the door let's all the street lighting in
    Nicole S.

Terrible. Fitted sheet doesn't fit the bed. Traffic noise was horrible. Carpet was wet on the side of the bed and there's a half inch gap under the door that lets all the street lighting in. Pay the extra forty bucks and stay at the Best Western down the street

I arrived late at night and headed to the bar for a quick bite. I was immediately greeted by one of the friendliest bartenders--I wish I caught their name. The whole atmosphere felt welcoming, like a place where travelers actually connect and feel comfortable. The food completely exceeded my expectations for a hotel. I ordered the sweet chili wings (extra crispy), and they were cooked perfectly--crispy, flavorful, and genuinely impressive. The bartender was attentive without being overbearing, and everything coming out of the kitchen looked better than you'd expect from a hotel bar. The room itself was extremely clean, which is always a top priority for me. In the morning, I came down to a fresh, delicious breakfast that was the perfect start to the day. Overall, this stay was easy, comfortable, and way above what I expected. I'll absolutely be staying here again whenever I'm passing through Gilroy.

The room was okay, though it had a weird smell and we aired it out while we were out. With the window open, you could hear the freeway. We didn't try the continental breakfast since we had to leave before it opened on the weekend. We did have a credit we could use for breakfast or dinner, so we used it for the dinner. The fish tacos were okay ($20). My husband ordered a patty melt...there was a lot of meat, but there was no cheese at all...which makes it not a melt. Maybe the cook didn't know what a patty melt is. Maybe they were out of cheese so they compensated by adding in more meat. The meat had no seasoning though. So although we had a credit, we could have enjoyed food outside. I also wanted to write this review to warn other customers. The bill came with a weird 20% service charge that was not tip and not tax. There was a line for the room number which we filled, because we knew we had a credit. But my husband wanted the charge on a different credit card. Instead of asking for clarification since both a room number and a credit card was provided, they just charged the credit card and we were charged the full bill. I suspect the service charge is also for people who are not guests in the hotel. So we brought it up with the front desk person who got it fixed. She later told us that we should have charged it to the room............ So if you are NOT a guest, don't eat at this place. If you are a guest, make sure you don't get the 20% service charge and if you do, question it. And don't forget to charge it to the room. In the end, we were not charged the 20% service charge and we were able to avail of the credit.

We started the trip with what I can say was a can't be beat resort stay here. We each had our own king rooms that honestly almost made me hate my own home. From the start of the stay pulling up to the security gate and getting greeted with so much energy and friendliness then being handed a rosemary bag to bring you into the mood. Immediately I knew I would love this place. The valets were great. The lobby staff were great. I was at the resort for two days and I swear I never touched a door to open. My room was ready early which was a bonus and the room. Again just great. Spacious. Ultra clean. All the amenities you could want. Fridge bar area. Fireplace. Sliding double doors to a private patio overlooking a fantastic golf course. Giant bathroom with separate soaking tub that was divine. I could review the golf all by itself. Super nice caddy Jack who it was a pleasure to spend the day working alongside and perfect weather because it can certainly get hot out there. We had a catered private lunch and then we had dinner in the bar area and everything was, you guess it, perfect. I will be back it's just a matter of when.

We were a little concerned based on reviews we read but money was tight and we really had no choice but to stay here. There were no bugs. However, there was also no coffee pot, hair dryer, dresser, table, disposable plastic cups, ice bucket, ice machine, telephone, or anything resembling a decent lock on our door. Don't get me wrong, there WAS a lock on the door but it was the same kind of lock my older brother had on his bedroom door in the 1970s that anyone over the age of 10 could open with a playing card. I'm serious. It kind of sucked to have no table or dresser to put our clothes in/on. It would have been nice if there were a handful of hangers in the room so we could've at least hung some clothes up. Instead we had everything all over the floor. There were numerous homeless people in the immediate vicinity who were CLEARLY mentally ill including one woman who had the room next to us and came out one night accusing us of stalking her and threatening to call the police on us. We literally had never seen or spoken with her before this encounter. Now the upside. The toilet flushed with a TON of water which we loved and the shower was clean with great pressure and temperature and it had soap and shampoo dispensers in it. The manager (owner?), Bobby, is a nice man who runs the hotel with his father. He was very attentive when we told him about the crazy lady claiming we were stalking her however I wasn't very happy when he suggested he was going to keep $20 of my $50 deposit as a "cleaning fee" for the hair left in the room from our service animal. He quickly relented when I protested and reminded him that I had seen the messes some of his guests had left in their rooms and was certain our room wasn't anything close to the mess we had seen others make. All in all if money is an issue and you need a really cheap place where you can sleep and shower, The Oaks Motel is okay but don't expect anything fancy at all and understand that it is the cheapest hotel within 50 miles of Gilroy so you kinda get what you pay for.

When I called the front desk, instead of trying to fix their mistake, I was told I was wrong. There was no apology, no attempt to verify my reservation, and no effort to make things right. I was traveling with my wife and our two toddlers. Because the room didn't have the sleeping arrangements I reserved, my wife and children had to share the king bed while I slept on the floor. When I asked if they could provide a rollaway bed or any reasonable accommodation, I was told they would charge me even more for something that should never have been necessary. The night staff was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. When I asked for the manager's information, the employee refused to provide it and wouldn't even tell me his own name. That's not customer service--it's avoiding accountability. The only employee who treated us with respect was James the next morning. He listened, apologized, and provided the manager's contact information. Unfortunately, despite leaving my information, the manager has never bothered to return my call. To make matters even worse, I was charged more than the price I originally booked the room for, with no clear explanation. This hotel failed at the basics: honoring a reservation, treating guests with respect, resolving a problem they created, and following up afterward. Families should think twice before staying here because if something goes wrong, don't expect anyone to take responsibility. I will never stay at this Hampton by Hilton again, and I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you expect professionalism, honesty, or even basic customer service.

We were so lucky to find the Joshua Inn that by the end of it we didn't want to leave! The owners, Greg and Trish, were so kind and hospitable during our stay. We would wake-up in the morning to the smell of fresh coffee just outside of our bedroom door with a delicious gourmet breakfast in the beautifully decorated dining room, and then end our evenings with a lovely glass, or two, of wine and a handful of goodies from the dessert bar located in one of the sitting rooms. The house if filled with lots of knickknacks that were fun to look at, Trish's little box of essential oils that you may smell, a variety of books you can thumb through while enjoying some time on the outdoor patio, and a television in the living room in case you want to just veg out. Our rooms, the Kuschel Suite and the Captains Quarters, were upstairs and offered a cozy place to lay your head down at night. My room, the Captains Quarters, was themed very much as you might think -sailor-esque -  with a queen sized bed and a small half bath within the room. My friends room, the Kuschel Suite, featured a spacious full bath with a lovely claw foot tub with a great water pressure rain shower. Since I didn't have a shower in my room, the Kuschel Suite and the Captains Quarters shared the use of the shower/tub. One of my favorite parts of our stay was their sweet dog, SUGAR BEAR! I just wanted to pick him up and cuddle him anytime he scurried by. He would come and greet you anytime you walked through the door, which is always nice. Greg and Trish are such wonderful people to sit and talk to. Their hospitality truly made it feel as if we were at home talking with our families around the fireplace. The Joshua Inn has so much character and I loved looking through all the history regarding the home. The name, Joshua Inn,  has so much meaning behind it of itself. It's the attention to detail that makes this place so special. This was my first time staying at a B&B and the Joshua Inn definitely set the bar high for all of the future B&B visits.
