They were prompt to see me on a bustling Saturday afternoon...had a nail in my tire...but charging 20 dollars to do a ten minute patch job is a bit too much and when I asked if the tire man gets a cut out of it, they said no...so I had to tip the hardworking guy 5...so 25 dollars to get a simple tire patch...a bit too greedy...I cannot recommend them and I won't be back when other options do it for free or for less than ten bucks. read more

Purchased a set of tires and rims and was promised free rotation with purchase. When it was time when I needing a rotation. I was going to be charged for it. I'm a Goodyear card holder and I had explained to the manager that they give you free rotation on the lifetime of purchasing a new tire and he had told me he will honor the same deal. So when it was time to get it done, they did not honor our deal, I'm positive he just wanted to make a sale of 4 new tires with my rims. On social media I'm an Instagram follower and I had posted my situation and my comment wasn't only deleted but I was blocked from following them. Will never do business with them again and I encourage not only my friends and family but to the google followers not to do business with a bunch of liars and just in the business to get over on their clients and not to gain their clients trust. Poor Customer service!! Yesterday between 9:30- 10am I walked in to purchase a set of rims for my Tundra. I walked into the store and said hello to an African American man standing behind the counter. He looked up at me, looked over his shoulder and then down at his paper work. Never again acknowledging my presence. Several others were behind the counter conversing with a man whom I assume was a customer. After a short time I just shrugged and said "alright" and walked out the door. I drove to another rim and tire shop near by and dropped just over 4 grand on my new rims. I'm sure the owner will be glad to know that his counter helps lack of respect for their work or his business lost him a 4k sale. Don't bother stopping in, you'll just be ignored. read more

WOW Totally different experience with this store compared to Black Jacks. The sales representative (I believe his name was Oscar) was very patient and did not try to force me to buy what they thought was right. This man was totally patient and let me look at the tires and compare prices, eBay search for a better deal, and never got frustrated. Because of him, I see why they have been around for so long. They have an excellent selection of wheels and tires as well as try to help with cost and have a great warranty. 1 thing I would say is that they need a better place -the parking lot was very crowded. Both back left tires fell off my dually truck by Pep Boys. Tried to have them help me at pep boys but wouldn't even let me use a jack to get it off the road. Went into Gil's off recommendation of a friend. I purchased a set of wheels and tires and had a leveling kit put on my Denali. So after about 5,000 miles I stopped into Discount tire to have them rotated and was told the tires did not meet the load rating of the vehicle. I'm glad I didn't hook up to my RV or load down the bed of the truck. As it was explained to me the tires would have popped within minimal time under load. read more

A note to Gil, this is how you lose loyal customers. It hurts me to have to write this review due to the fact that I have been a customer for 19 years, Not only have I bought several sets of rims and tires but I especially loved the mechanical work I would get from Wayne. Now that mechanical work has picked up they have other mechanics (Who I don't trust working on my car) I followed the business since it was on Basse with still the same laid back attitude, too laid back at my expense. Lack of professionalism was my reason for taking my money and endorsements of any kind else where. I had been trying to get Wayne to work on my brakes for 2 weeks. The first mishap was a scheduling error "oh we scheduled you on the wrong day". The second mistake was "oh Wayne is still working on a lift from the other day" even though I had an appointment and they didn't even have the decency to call, oh wait they don't even take your name and number so that shows how much they really care. Not even an apology. Guess what guys, I took those days off and I don't have time to mess around. I've out grown this place. read more

In 2017, I purchased a complete wheel and tire package (290/30/26) for my 2016 Tahoe. The tires used were manufactured by Lexani (which is a reputable brand). I don't put a lot of miles on my truck due to having more than one vehicle. One year later after purchase, one of my tires(rear Driver Side) was "constantly" losing tire pressure, took back to Gils, said inner wall of tire bubbled out from rim, charged me over $200 for new tire... Approx. 6-8mo (actually 17-18 Dec 2019) later realized one of the tires(front Passenger Side) side wall had literally split open 6"-8"!!! It looked as if the tire is busting open. TRUST I DIDN'T hit anything and as reminder my Tahoe is not my everyday vehicle, hence low miles driven on it!!! Return to Gils whom explained my tire pressure was to low(needed to keep my psi 42-45) due to the big rims to help support the sidewall. Paid $225 for new tire!!! Now as of yesterday a friend of mine noticed a nail in my front tire. I immediately walked around and inspected all my other tires; to my belief, all of my tires are showing the split/busting openings on the sidewalls, WTF!!!!! Why are these tires failing like this!?!? Through due diligence further investigations revealed, the Tahoe needs to have tires with Load Index 110-111. The tires that Gils put on my vehicle (Lexani) Load Index is 107, my vehicle is to heavy for these tires WTF!?!? No wonder why the sidewalls are collapsing!!! Why would GILS put a tire that doesn't meet the safety requirements for said vehicle!?!? Thank GOD I don't drive my Tahoe daily and have not caused an accident let alone died myself!!!! There lack of knowledge or just wanting to make a sale could have cost myself and others life!!! DO NOT GO TO GILS!!!! I expected GILS to know there line of work to the details, guess not!!! I SAY AGAIN, DO NOT GO TO GILS!!! Discount Tires, Espino Tire & Wheel, and Firestone are way more knowledgeable than GILS. I quickly got educated on tires and wheels lately, learning experience!!! The people here don't serve you unless your interested in buying their product. The only helpful people I would say are some of the mechanics. One they saw a kid walk in the door they thought nothing of it and ignored the fact I was there, either talking on the phone or to other customers that came in after me. I forced my way to the front desk and it was hard to even get their attention as they were all sitting in the back laughing and joking I waited so long for service and even had to wait up to 2 weeks for my wheels to come in. I asked them if they were sure that the wheels would fit before going any further and they guaranteed me. Soon after it seemed that only the rear tires would fit and not the front ones. They said to take it off and I was stuck with driving on 2 different wheel sets. 2 front 18 in. And 2 rear 20 in. I wish I could have taken my business somewhere else to a more helpful company. The only reason I went through with it was because they were the only place I saw with the wheel pattern I wanted. I'm pretty sure whoever writes the good reviews either knows Gil or was asked to write positive reviews for them. If anybody asked where to get wheels I would recommend anywhere but here. No interest in there customers unless there making a purchase. Even getting minimum service through that. read more
