He did some work on my family's generator last week & I honestly feel bad for his workers. There were two workers with him & he treated them terribly. He was loud and screaming at them in a degrading manner & doesn't know how to talk to people. I wouldn't want to stay with a boss who's always yelling and doesn't know how to teach and talk to me. I hope those men find a better employer or he learns how to talk to them. Besides that, my generator works good, no problems. I did not like working with Gina. First, he performed shoddy work installing various outlets. As hard as it is to believe, they were not flush with the wall. Then he insulted me by trying to convince me this shoddy second rate hack work was acceptable-they fixed it eventually. Somehow, he developed problems with the other contractor in the house-how I don't know. But this contractor's warning about Gina, was borne out by Gina himself. I found him to be loud and rude. He is a man who seems to enjoy assuming other people are stupid. The joke is on him. read more

Without much planning or forethought, I found myself owning an electric car. I tried to figure out what people do about charging, but so much information conflicted with other information. I called Gina Electrical Maintenance and spoke to Sal, who really simplified everything. He said his company installed a number of electric vehicle chargers in the area, and he looked at my house on Google Street View to get an idea of how complex the job was. When I told him that there was an appliance socket near the driveway, he said it would be a pretty straightforward installation. Two techs arrived on time and installed my EV charger without disrupting my work day at all. It took about 2-3 hours, and I just plugged my car in. It works! The placement is perfect and I didn't even have to move my car up in the driveway. After reading so much about installation and talking to people who weren't even sure what an EV charger was, my experience was fast, affordable, and super easy. I definitely recommend this company, particularly for this somewhat-specialized task. read more

Let's update the review. This is from the bitter customer. I'm giving another star to be open to being fair. You guys came to my house 3 times and charged me around $500. You guys are supposedly certified Tesla charger installers. Fair enough. I called asking you to come fix my charger. First you told me it was totally installed wrong. Ok. Paid you the $500 and as soon as I plugged my charger in fuse popped and it didn't work. You came back 3 weeks later after I finally got a hold of you. You did a repair. I came home. It didn't work. Let's go on to trip #3 to my house a week after that. You told me you couldn't find anything wrong and it had to be a bad charger. Cool! I contacted Tesla to get the charger exchanged with no help from you guys as you were supposed to write it up and send it in to help me out but you didn't. When I got in touch with Tesla after months of having issues I finally got a rep with a brain who asked me if my charger was hooked up to the internet. I told them I didn't know. He went on to tell me all I needed was a quick update. Did the update and the charger works like new. Shouldn't a certified Tesla installer know that my charger might just need an update? I guess an update doesn't get you $500. How's that for being bitter. read more

*** BUYER BEWARE ***I made an appointment with this company for a whole house generator over 2 months ago and they never even had the decency to contact me. Can u imagine. In this day and age to be so arrogant to not even reach out. Generators go for a minimum of $10,000 installed. This has been my Best interaction with an Electrician from Start to Finish - hands down! Needed to have a Tesla Wall Charger installed, so I shopped around. By chance, managed to speak to Sal, who took the time to walk me through step by step. After deciding to go with Gina Electric, called and spoke with Ann Marie, who was a Gem! My service appointment was confirmed by text and email seamlessly. And then there was Nick and Liam. Courteous, professional, and efficient. Even while I was peppering them with questions, they were able to allay my concerns about the circuit breaker, installed my charger outside perfectly straight, and made it look like it was there the whole time! But, most importantly - these two gentlemen were Good Guys working hard to make sure everything was done correctly. They earned my Respect. I am glad I trusted Gina Electric after my research - but even more so after this Great Experience! read more

This company does horrible work, they installed a Tesla charger & upgraded my panel to 200 amps. Every time it rains, water leaks inside the 200 amp panel in my basement, they came back 3 times & still didn't fix the leak. It's at the point now where they don't even pick up the phone when they see my number. This is one of the most incompetent & unprofessional companies that I have ever dealt with in my 29 years in my house. BEWARE of this company!! read more

Their prices are high, and I expected good work for the money. First, they installed two junctions boxes that were not flush. I had to listen as Sal explained why this shoddy work was AOK. They fixed it. Then, I got blamed for not making an appointment for them to finish a job. I explained to him about coronavirus, and how everything has been closed for two months. Sal's assistant's, left a mess on my floor, and paid no attention to the order in which they assigned power switched. Overall a very unpleasant, and unsatisfying experience. read more

I reached out to Tesla to find a recommended electrician that could install my Wall unit and Gina Electrical was one of the local Long Island certified electricians on their list. I reached out to them to inquire on how far out their availability was and gave them an idea of what I was looking to do and Sal responded immediately and provided me the info I needed without any nonsense. Over the course of a few emails, I was confident he knew what he was doing and we scheduled an appointment at my earliest availability. Exactly as scheduled, Brian came out and did some initial assessments of the project and provided me with the pricing which I agreed on and work was started. Sal came by shortly thereafter and the two of them completed the job in two hours. They were very polite, respectful, and knowledgeable. I'm very happy with how the unit was mounted, the wiring was routed, and how they left everything without any evidence that they just did a whole bunch of work - it was as clean as they had found it, if not cleaner. I highly recommend Gina Electrical for other Tesla owners on Long Island and in fact, will be using them for all of my electrical needs in the future. Thanks again Sal and Brian! read more

Was referred to these guys by a friend who recently had quite a bit of work done when I needed 2 chandeliers installed as well as a thermostat moved and considering our ceilings are 12 feet it wasn't an easy job. The previous electrician who had given me an estimate jerked me for 3 weeks with every excuse under the sun. Sal the owner personally came to my house, emailed me an estimate that same night and scheduled me days later! Now for the work done...Gina Electric has 2 young men who do the work and not only are they professional and knowledgeable, but they were 10 minutes EARLY and stayed from 9-4 to make sure the job was done perfectly(1 of the chandeliers had some manufacturing issues they overcame). Everything was done exactly as we hoped with very minimal damage to the walls to run the wire and they cleaned up when they were done. It's not easy finding electricians who are great, affordable and actually show up when they say but these guys are the REAL DEAL. read more
