I went to Gina for the first time last week on Burlingame ave. I naturally have dark, dirty blonde hair. I kept going back and forth between different colors/ how light I wanted my blonde to be. As soon as I walked into the salon, I was greeted by Gina and another stylist that worked there. I was offered something to drink while she cleaned up from her previous appointment and was soon asked to follow her to her station. She was very polite, professional, SUPER fun and easy to talk to and very informative. Prior to my appointment with Gina, I did not realize the process to becoming really blonde.. and I absolutely had no idea how long these appointments take. After asking her a 1,001 questions, she asked me what my hair color goal was.... Me: deer in the headlights. Instead of trying to explain it, I pulled up the pics of her/ her hair as a reference pic. I felt kind of embarrassed...like she would think I was a total weirdo but instead of looking shocked or freaked out she smiled with a little laugh and jokingly said well someone needs this formula since I can't wear it! (She's not "that" blond any more". We agreed that a combo of a full highlight + full balayage would get me the blondest the fastest. And she was right! Gina thank you so much for being so diligent and patient. Idk how you do it, but you really do create masterpieces out of cardboard. I love my hair ! Thank you Gina for everything. Even though I've gone between getting blonde highlights and balayage for over 10 years I always seek advice from whoever is doing my hair on what they suggest - Gina always gives great recommendations and does an incredible job executing them so that I walk out lovinggg my color. Found Gina after my other hairstylist moved out of the area and I lucked out!!! It was anxiety inducing for me to find another gifted stylist and I figured it would take a few swings and misses to find someone.... Gina was the first I called and she nailed it. She listened to what I wanted and totally delivered. She has true talent, from engaging with her client, to product recommendations, and the HAIR! Oh the hair! I moved to the Peninsula almost 10 years ago and I wish I would have found Gina sooner! It took me a few years and many stylists to find Gina. She is the best! Gina has been cutting and coloring my hair for several years now and I would recommend her to anyone every day of the week. The mark of a good haircut or color in my opinion (I usually get balayage) is that it not only looks awesome right away but it still looks great as it grows out. You will get this with Gina. My husband (in addition to my sister) also gets his haircut by Gina and the difference in the quality of cut is very noticeable. He was hesitant to go to a salon at first but it's worth it (even he admits it). What I also like is that Gina will listen to what you want (and actually do it not just get close) as well as provide honest, valuable input. Whether it be that I want to go pink, and spending all that money will only net me 3 weeks of pink hair at best, or providing insight as to what cut or color will actually look good on me (I get bored with the same thing). Right now I have a tousled assymterical bob and I love it. She does it perfectly and I've never gotten more compliments on a haircut in my life (thanks to Gina). If you are trying to reform a head of hair that makes a triangle shape and is frizzy, wavy, curly-- see Gina. Ask her if texturizing your hair is something she would do. She chose that method for me so that my waves and curls flow, and "fit together like a puzzle," as Gina explained. Your hair will have volume and body. It will look more balanced. It will actually dry easier whether you air dry or use a hairdryer. I used a diffuser and ran out of house today to teach Pilates and finally let my hair down and it still looks put together like I put product in it (no product used!). Cannot wait to doll it up with a little dollop of dippity-do' or whatnot for going out!
