That's all I need" Well, he started cutting away and throughout the cut it seemed like he had envisioned something else. He said "if we cut like this, it'll be better" and I hesitated on every suggestion but I said "as long as it'll give me the look like the photo I showed you". He told me no worries and to essentially trust the process. Well. Towards the end of the cut, I wasn't seeing the vision and he kept apologizing and saying things like "well I already cut over here. Can't fix it" and kept saying "ya sorry, your hair is hard to cut". He suggested "you just have to grow your hair back out" - like, come on, he was cutting 5-6inches of hair down to the skin. It'll take me months to get my hair back. At the end he said "next time bring more pictures" - I told him I had more and that he claimed that was perfect and that was all he needed. He blamed me. He still charged me full price. Seriously?? I paid anyway because I didn't want the trouble but I felt wronged here.

Right away I was greeted with kindness and respect by the male owner (I believe his wife also owns it), told him my situation, what I wanted and he certainly delivered! Like he mentioned, a barber shop is completely different from a salon, especially when it comes to men's haircuts, and I wish I understood that years ago. I'm used to a 10-15min haircut, his was easily double that, extremely detailed and meticulous! I also decided to do a fade for the first time ever, and again, I am so mad I haven't been doing it for years, completely changes the dynamic of the haircut and makes you look way younger. I saw all the reviews for Bebe (again I assume his wife), but not enough reviews for him that are very much deserved. There is no doubt that he is my new permanent barber, I will be returning every few weeks, and I will probably never go back to the salon I've been going to for 8+ years.

He listened to what I said, took the photo I showed into consideration, and asked questions along the way. He asked where I part my hair and made sure that the length in front (and back, which was my biggest concern) was to my liking. I LOVE how he cut my hair because it's exactly what I wanted. I almost always get someone who gives me 80-90% of what I wanted, but it always misses the mark somewhere and this was absolutely perfect. Fast forward to a couple hours later and the curls that are supposed to be the most defined around my face and on the top of my head, are almost completely gone not even 24 hours later. Additionally, some of the curls throughout are gone as well. I am disappointed that I spent so much money on something to have the top and face framing pieces flat and the rest wonky. I really hope, if it doesn't damage my hair too much, that someone can fix this for me.
