The lunch menu is a great value, and if you can deal with a rather noisy lunch experience and are only there for the food, definitely put it on your bookmarks. I meant fellow Yelper Brian T for lunch and we sat in the back of the restaurant where there's a little alcove and I felt like it registered louder than a Def Leppard concert in the 80s. The appetizer bar is tasty with their crispy tempura, sushi rolls, and Tom Yum soup but the star is the fish sauce and the dried chili flakes. I got the pad see ew pork and the noodles were totally perfect but if it wasn't for the Thai chili flakes and the fish sauce, pepper vinegar, it was a little bland, even with the mild pepper order. The Thai coffee was amazing and at $3.99 it's a good value. I recommend coming, but if you're having a serious lunch conversation, the tile and acoustics definitely are noisy so bring earplugs or learn sign language.

I came in for lunch because I was craving Thai. They had a great a selection, but I settled for the Pad Kee Mao and appetizers bar. That kept me full for the rest of my day. The service was good as the waitress topped off my water often. The restaurant was fairly cleaned and had plenty of seatings. Great for accommodating all customers during the lunch rush. I would come back for lunch. Best Bang for your money hands down.

Had a good dinner with my friends! Dining space is quite wide so we got to have nice dinner all together! The orders came fairly quickly with a good service! :) We had a good dining here so I recommend this restaurant for good meals! :)

This is my favorite Thai food spot in Houston. The service is usually good and it's never too busy unless you go around lunch time. I usually get egg rolls and edamame as an appetizer and the peanut chicken. They finally started serving alcohol under the new owner so that's a plus. The restaurant is in an old house type building so it's a quiet type of dinner spot. Their chili powder is extremely good if you love spicy.

Did you know they add this to every order?

Been going here for years to get my to-go orders whenever I'm too busy to cook. Sometimes I pay cash, sometimes I pay with card. What I didn't realize is this restaurant ADDS A FEE for whatever reason, and calling it a Cash Discount -- which is not a discount, as it is added, not subtracted. I'm shocked by this and very disappointed in the way they do business. They printed this when I walked in to pick-up my order, so they didn't know how I was going to pay. This was automatically added regardless of the method of payment. I went home to find two previous receipts, and just noticed this charge was on there. Again, doesn't matter how you pay!

One thing I really like about this place is the appetizer bar, I haven't seen that in a while and I like getting the chance to sample a bunch of apps. However some of them looked like they have been sitting there a while. The service is friendly and the food is decent. I got the cashew nut. It was pretty good but not super authentic in my opinion. Big portions though. Also lots of vegan options!

This place is one of those "not fancy, but amazing food" category. Food always fresh, tasty and good portion size, although the pad Thai was missing a bit of flavor. the service was fast and good. The restaurant is bring your own bottle kind of deal. So, if you are the type that like a drink with your meal you will need to bring it you. It's is good for small and large parties, and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed and enjoyable. There is a parking lot right across the restaurant.

    Strange decor

I should have known. Alongside I-10 there lives a cluster of bars and restaurants that inhabit a small sorta shared space that attracts those looking for a pleasant afternoon, happy hour and meal. We pulled up today hoping to visit one bar and grille and even though it was early the place was hopping and so we made a fatal decision to move to the least populated one of the group, Ginger Thai. We walked into a huge but empty dining room, without a single patron. The menu was expansive and featured a lot of Thai favorites and so despite the empty room, we decided to give it a go...mistake number 2. We started with appetizers, shrimp and pork egg rolls and an order of spring rolls and the oddities continued to build. The eggroll contents had a yellow tint, a sort of jaundiced look with an underlying hint of curry. Different but not unpleasant. The spring rolls appeared to be standard fare until you dipped them into the accompanying peanut sauce which was strangely thin and sweet. Our server was not as knowledgeable of the menu as one would expect and when I asked if the charcoal grilled pork with vermicelli on the menu was a Vietnamese dish or a Thai version she was rendered speechless but ultimately said probably Vietnamese but they likely added something to it. For our mains we ventured to try a Crispy Chicken Pad Thai and the Charcoal grilled pork. The pad thai was again surprisingly sweet though the fried chicken cutlet was a nice touch. The grilled pork had nice grill marks but lacked marinating and the accompanying fish sauce was cloyingly sweet and appeared to be a strange mashup of duck and fish sauces. The building and decor can use repair and updates as well. Looks like this spot may need some revitalization. Not some place I will revisit.

This place was recommend by my barber to try out. I was not impressed at all. As far as covid restrictions, they were in place. Masked required upon entry and spacing was good. As far as food, it fell below standards. We ordered Thai basil chicken and yellow curry chicken. I could not taste any basil in my chicken nor could I view any traces of it on the dish. Perhaps they brought a wrong dish. I had requested spice level 4 but felt like eating a level 2. The yellow curried chicken's curry was actually very flavorful, but the potatoes in the dish were raw!!! They were not boiled. In my culture, if u serve a dish with potatoes and they are not boiled/cooked properly, then u will be called out!!! It's embarrassing and insulting. The rice was cheap quality, dried up. Also, it was $4 upgrade to beef or shrimp. First time I've heard that in any Thai restaurant. The most I've paid is about $2. This would have cost $8 extra just to upgrade protein. That's a dish on it's own. We saw our server at time of order and then when it was time for the tab. Sub/par service. I gotta let my barber know to change her opinion of this place. Failure.

Great fresh food. went there around 11:30AM.. before gets busy especially on Fridays. Excellent customer service. The selections were great! Server was coming over to make sure everything was okay.. refilled in a timely manner. We enjoyed it! 5 stars from me.

Fantastic Chicken Pad Thai. Definitely a must try. I usually have a few dishes I stick to but the Pad Thai is now on my list. Plenty of fresh bean sprouts, leeks and peanuts. They added extra tamarind sauce just like I asked. The only thing missing was a slice of lime. Still amazing. Lunch comes with soup or salad so that's a plus.

It is a convenient restaurant when you are in the area. The food and service are fast. Lovely Appetizers Bar set up.

The atmosphere feels lively, casual, and packed with personality--exactly the kind of place you hope to stumble upon but rarely do. The menu is enormous, featuring dishes from different regions of Thailand, with everything from soups and stir-fried noodles to rice dishes, curries, seafood, and grilled meats. Looking around the dining room, it seemed like nobody ordered the same thing because there is just so much to try. Best of all, the prices are incredibly reasonable for a place with this much hype. I had some of the best noodles of my life here. The Pad Kee Mao was phenomenal (best I've ever had and I eat thai food OFTEN) the noodles were chewy, bouncy, fresh, and perfectly coated in sauce. Everything tasted made-to-order and arrived piping hot. We also ordered the Beef Noodle Soup, which was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor, along with the Green Papaya Salad, which was easily one of the best versions I've ever had. The heat, acidity, and freshness was incredible and so well balanced. Many of the dishes are served on banana leaves, which adds to the entire experience and makes everything feel even more authentic and special. As someone who loves spice, I also appreciated the range of spice levels available. They don't hold back, which I always consider a good sign. One of the coolest surprises is that there's an attached market selling imported products from Thailand and Vietnam--lots of fun snacks, drinks, sauces, and ingredients you won't find at a typical grocery store. A few things to know: parking can be a little challenging, and while it's a sit-down restaurant, you'll need to head to the cashier to pay. They also accept cards, so don't worry about bringing cash. If I lived nearby, I would honestly come here every week just to work my way through the menu. This is the kind of restaurant that's worth planning a trip around. I would come back to Houston just for this meal. When people say Houston has some of the best Asian food in the country, this is exactly the type of place they're talking about!!

We visited for lunch on a Tuesday and had no wait to be seated. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The spring rolls and dumplings were both very good and made a great start to the meal. The Pad Thai had nice flavor and was enjoyable. My husband ordered his dish at a spice level 4 (their highest spice level), but felt it wasn't quite as spicy as expected, so keep that in mind if you like a lot of heat. The portions were very generous, and we definitely had leftovers. The kids' chicken fried rice was a huge portion and was surprisingly good. We also enjoyed the mango sticky rice for dessert--it was a great way to end the meal. The only disappointment was the Thai tea, which tasted a little weak compared to what we've had at other Thai restaurants. Overall, the food was tasty, the service was good, and the portions were excellent. We'd be happy to return and try more items from the menu.
