Shaking beef
Nina K.

This is a decent viet spot in Katy but not my go to. I've been a few times and the food is pretty good. The last time I went however, our service was not the best. The shaking beef was tasty and served with steamed rice. They used to have half off pho on Tuesdays and Wednesdays a while back but they no longer do that.

Today, I got to try some of foods from this restaurant! It was good but it can be better if they have more seasoning like mushroom seatings or hoisin sauce to be honest! Presentation wise, they look very nice and appetizing tho! Glad that they have some vegetarian options! ;) Keep up the good work! Cheers

Not recomendable Rangoon

Pho was ok. Nothing to write about. The meatballs were too fatty! The Rangoons were awful. They tasted of burned oil and were over done and the smell was quite off putting. Will not be our go to place. We ordered pick up which was on time and the food was still warm.

A3. Soft Fresh Springroll

I was SO excited to try this place and I was really enjoying my spring roll until I went for my last bite and there was a BUG. I alerted my waitress and she offered to get me another order but just seemed confused & and did not take my plate. I had to eventually ask someone to take the plate. The manager never came over and addressed me. It's so frustrating because I was really enjoying it. And then the staff was disappointing with their lack of concern and attention. I wish I would have had the more positive experience described in other reviews! There are a million Vietnamese restaurants right here, go to another one.

Great Pho. Eggrolls weren't the best but the pho made up for it. Affordable and great for a date spot

The food is good! Always available seating. Good prices too. They seem to be short staffed, but I've never waited long.

Always consistent, fast & fresh. My favorite part about it is that they do a kids size pho that's perfect for my daughter.

Service was excellent , as I went with a 5 year old kid, they were very thoughtful, even gave us a pair of scissors to cut the meat for the child . We ordered a large bowl of beef and beef steak pho , he put the greens on the side as per instructed , no mistakes with the child 's bowl of pho- excellent soup base and tender beef. I ordered a bbq pork chop rice , does not come with the bone which is great , pork was bbq with Vietnamese sauces and taste really good with a bit of charred flavor & sweet flavor . Fish dip was good with the broken rice . We ordered a banh mi to go as the char pork was so good . Place was clean and airy , tables were nicely spaced and does not feel cramped up . Owner was on the floor making sure every customer is happy and satisfied . Will recommend to my friends who lived in katy, Excellent food, good prices and great service . Good job !

The small pho is a good size for a small to moderate stomach eater like me. Wish it's served in the larger bowl just to make mixing in the beansprouts easier, but that's ok. Consistent, fast, and excellent food and service. All elements of a spot that brings me back!!

After fasting for 36 hours, Yummy Quan was our first stop -- and at that point, we would've eaten…read morealmost anything... but luckily, we didn't have to settle. This place delivered where it mattered most, especially with the highly reviewed appetizers. Probably one of my favorite drinks here was the Thai Green Tea. It has a really interesting flavor that stands out from regular Thai Tea -- more earthy, but not quite like matcha (we guessed there might be pandan in it). Just a heads up: it's definitely on the sweeter side. My partner and I actually let the ice melt a bit before continuing to drink it, which helped balance things out. I came back a second time and still loved it just as much. The dipping sauce felt like a truly authentic representation of Vietnamese cuisine. It was a lightly diluted fish sauce with spicy red pepper and plenty of garlic -- simple but really flavorful. I also appreciated that the table setup let you customize it to your taste. In my first experience here, we ordered the Bánh Xèo, Bánh Khọt, and Bánh Bột Chiên. I was hands down a huge fan of the ginormous Bánh Xèo -- crispy, flavorful, and just overall my favorite (though I'll admit I'm a little biased toward it already). Meanwhile, my boyfriend completely fell in love with the crunchy Bánh Khọt. That said, I did notice a slight graininess in the Bánh Khọt, which took away a few points for me. The Bánh Bột Chiên was solid and got a pass from us, but it wasn't our top pick -- mostly because we've had better versions elsewhere. Other worthy notes: the herbs were fresh and crisp, and the pickled vegetables were refreshing as well (though my boyfriend thought they could've been a bit more strongly pickled). Eating everything the traditional way -- wrapping it in lettuce with herbs -- made the whole experience even better. Honestly, I would come back just to order two Bánh Xèo. I actually came back a second time before posting this review, this time with my family. We ordered the Bắp Xào, Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc, and a simple rice dish. This visit was a bit different -- across the board, we all agreed the dishes leaned too salty this time around. I could also tell the staff was overwhelmed, with only two people handling both the front and the kitchen, so it was tough to get their attention at times. That said, the Bánh Xèo still held its ground. My parents were genuinely impressed by the size, and for me, it's still an absolute banger -- something I'd come back for again and again purely for flavor and value. The Bắp Xào really stood out to me in a nostalgic way. I loved the use of traditional Vietnamese corn, and the sautéed dried shrimp brought back memories of flavors from dishes I grew up eating, even if I couldn't quite pinpoint which one. While my mom thought it was too salty, I actually felt like it would pair perfectly with a bowl of plain white rice. I also tried some of my brother's Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc and found the beef to be tender and flavorful, though not particularly standout compared to other places. I've had very similar versions nearby, but it's still my brother's go-to -- though I suspect that might also be his way of loading up on protein. Overall, even with the inconsistency during the second visit, I still really enjoy Yummy Quan -- especially for the appetizers. It's a place I'd bring family and friends to try, and I'm still curious about more of the menu... but realistically, I could live life on Bánh Xèo alone. At the end, you also get to grab some guava candy, and for anyone who's never had these, don't forget to pick some up -- they're simply delectable!

I love getting banh khot, banh xeo, and banh bot chien for appetizers. Just tried the egg rolls and it was good too. My go to main would be bun dau mam tom. Other mains such as com chien bo luc lac and bun thit Nuong was ok. I did not like the bun rieu, was too sweet... probably because different region so rieu balls were different than I was used too also. Staff is friendly, food does take a little bit to come out so I always order my appetizers first right when sit down.

We've always loved the atmosphere and the flavors, and being on InKind only makes it even more worthwhile. We came around 8:10 PM, not realizing they closed at 8:45 PM. We felt really bad, but they were very accommodating and reassuring nonetheless. Nước Mía và Tắc ($7) - Very sweet and refreshing--one of my go-to places for this drink. It reminds me of Vietnam every time I have it. My mom said it still isn't quite as good as the fresh sugarcane juice back in Vietnam, but both my brother and I love it. It's probably about as close as we'll get with the importing. Bún Bò Huế - My mom and I both agreed that the broth wasn't as rich as we'd like, and I don't think it's their highlight dish. That said, it was still a delicious and filling meal. Served with the traditional red cabbage. Phở Đặc Biệt - Still one of my favorite pho places because of their light broth. I always feel like I get great value here for the amount of food they give you. The meat cuts were especially good today. Bánh Mì Bò Né - My brother's go-to order. I've had it multiple times and have always enjoyed it, but today was definitely soup-energy. Bún Thịt Nướng - I didn't have this one, but the person who ordered it said they enjoyed it! Overall, this place continues to be one of my family's reliable Vietnamese spots. The meat in both broth dishes was especially good this visit, and despite us coming so close to closing, they never made us feel rushed. We'll definitely keep coming back.

At first it was just us and one other table, but not long after, more people started coming in, probably for lunch as well. The restaurant is pretty large, with both tables and booths, plus a big table for large groups. This is what we ordered: Combo Rolls This comes as a sampler with five different types of spring rolls. Regular spring rolls, nem nuong rolls (fermented grilled pork), grilled chicken, grilled pork, and shrimp only. I really liked this idea because it lets you try everything without having to order each roll separately. My favorite was the nem nuong roll. Bun Bo Hue I do not eat pork blood or pork loaf, so I substituted them with more tendon and beef meatballs. Because of that, I cannot really comment on how the pork tasted. The broth was okay but a little lacking in flavor. After I asked for shrimp paste, it tasted much better. Bo Kho (Beef Stew) This is my husband favorite dish, so he always orders it whenever a place has it. He ordered the one come with bread as dipping. He did not really like this one. It was not bad, but not great either. The flavor was missing, and the broth was more watered down than how he prefers it. Still, it is worth trying if you like beef stew. Overall, our experience was just okay. The service was fine, but the food did not leave a strong impression on us. We did not stay long since my husband had to get back to work. I would come back to try more dishes, especially pho. Since their name is Pho Guru, I feel like the pho might be better. Plus we dined in around Fall time in 2025 so I think the place would have so change with out last experience

I've been meaning to write a review for years! See my photos of the different meals I remembered to shoot. Anything you order, you can't go wrong! Everything here is consistently excellent. My go-to order is the Bún Thịt Nướng (B2) -- the grilled pork is perfectly seasoned and cooked, the noodles are light, and the vegetables are incredibly fresh. I also love the garden rolls with pork or shrimp. What really sets them apart are the sauces: tangy, balanced, and flavorful without being overly sweet. You can tell care is taken with every component. We've ordered family meals, various entrees and it never disappoints. Their soups are also outstanding -- comforting, deeply flavored, and exactly what you want alongside a Vietnamese meal done right. I bring family and friends here whenever I can, and everyone loves it. Their take out is quick and still as tasty. The staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming, the prices are modest and fair, and the whole experience feels like a breath of fresh air compared to Los Angeles dining.
