Many areas/rooms have themes like holiday, clearance, collectibles, household goods. It is very well organized. Store is pretty strict on "no large bag/backpack" policy but all employees were very friendly and respectful carrying it out. This place is not at all overpriced and you can certainly find some affordable gems without looking too hard.

On top of that the bigger furniture pieces like consoles, lawnmowers, lawn furniture... the owner is charging more than it would be at a Marshall's or TJ Maxx... $300 for a lawnmower, $350 for a console (just check out FB Marketplace). Why they aren't opening the boxes as they come in and categorizing which table they'd belong is beyond my understanding. I also don't understand why there isn't prices on the furniture, seems as if they are haggling, giving different prices to different ppl. Needless to say I won't be back. Don't make the hike to check this place out I'm sure you'll pass better stores.

"Cindy" was extremely rude when I went to this shop on a Saturday afternoon. A moment later, I heard her loudly say "We've been here all day!" and I noticed her speaking about me with her two coworkers while they all stared in my direction. I approached the counter and asked for her manager's name. She gave it to me, and when I said I would be speaking to the manager about her behavior, she again responded angrily, saying " I'll make sure to let her know." For a shop that claims to be a charity benefiting domestic violence victims, the attitude displayed by its staff does not reflect the mission they promote. I am a long time La Grange resident, and I've both donated and purchased items here over the years, but after this experience, I will no longer be patronizing this establishment.

Kelsey's combines high powered expertise and reach with small business personal touch. Items I drop off are meticulously tracked, and receipts/pricing is sent for my approval usually within minutes of me leaving. I've sold many designer bags, shoes and pieces of clothing with them and have never had issues with their pricing or payouts. I'm very knowledgeable of the market myself and we always see eye to eye on pricing. You can collect your balance at the beginning of each month and they'll have a check ready and waiting for you. Despite absolutely having the knowledge and ability to resell my pieces myself, I choose to work with them because it's such a great experience from beginning to end. Their payouts are at a higher percentage than what I have seen elsewhere, but even if they weren't - I'd still choose to consign with them.
