    Shrimp And Grits
    Tyrone E.

If I could give Ginny Lane Bar & Grill a sixth star, I would--but Yelp told me to relax. Let me start with the main event: the brunch shrimp and grits. I don't know what kind of magic they're putting in that bowl, but if every diplomatic negotiation started with this dish, we'd have world peace by noon. The grits were creamy, the shrimp were perfect, and the egg on top? Absolute brilliance. It was like the chef said, "Let's take perfection... and then promote it." The water view was so good I forgot for a moment that I'm a responsible adult with things to do. If you're trying to lower your blood pressure or pretend you're in a country music video--this is the spot. Our waitress was a delight--friendly, fast, and somehow always there exactly when we needed her but never hovering like a helicopter parent. A true brunch ninja. And let's talk about the $1 mimosas. I'm not saying they changed my life... but I am saying that after the third one, I briefly considered becoming a full-time brunch influencer. To finish strong, the bread pudding arrived and it was huge. A portion so generous it made me question every other restaurant's life choices. Warm, rich, perfectly sweet--basically dessert therapy. Bottom line: If you go to Ginny Lane Bar & Grill and don't have a good time, check your pulse. This place nails brunch, vibes, service, and value.

Great live music on Friday night! Very extensive menu with great options. Had a frozen watermelon margarita, gumbo (absolutely amazing) and jalapeño focaccia

Wait time wasn't bad.On the water with boats outside. My wife had the ribeye and I had the fried shrimp. We both really enjoyed it.Service was great.Located in The wharf so you can get some shopping in.Definitely worth a future stop from The Working Man Review.

Thank you Mel, Eric and staff for having us at your restaurant. And for getting gluten free menu as well. We will all return soon.

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my gluten free diet. And worked with my friend to make my birthday party so wonderful!

Burgers looked good but had much better

Place is in a great location, although it is a tourist trap. Pricing is ok. The view of the waterway is relaxing. Service is good and stiff is attentive. Food is where improvement is needed. Wife has had the streak, overcooked and tough. I had crawfish and they were ok. Plentiful but have had better. Burgers looked better than they tasted. We have been twice and will go to other places in the future.

Staff was super friendly and attentive, the ambiance maybe we went too late at 8pm but there were only 3 tables. They had a 2 man band to fill us with music so that was nice. Food was great, my son loved the crab legs!

Nice stop for happy hour and local food choices. Oysters, seafood, pasta selections, sandwiches, and tasty appetizers presented casually and not overpriced. Friendly staff. Easy access with great views to a marina which houses some large and majestic boats. Comfortable vibe. No need to dress up. Somewhat dark interior. Could use different lighting. Cavernous space with a wall dividing two distinct spaces. Very limited parking adjacent to restaurant. Structure nearby involves crossing a street and exactly ideal for convenience. A challenge if you have walking or other mobility limitations. Once inside, the restaurant is easy to navigate. Bathroom availability is limited when Ginny Lane is crowded. Nice stop if you are visiting Orange Beach. It is part of the much larger complex called The Wharf. We've attended a few of their special dinner presentations which have always been wonderful and well attended.

Prime Rib special ($20) with baked potato and side salad

Located at The Wharf, this bar and grille is okay. I know a lot of people who enjoy Ginny Lane but have complained of inconsistent service and food quality. My experience ranked on the lower side. Our server was friendly and in the process of training someone else. However, he was a bit lost & forgetful and she was criticizing his teaching abilities. Our drink orders were taken yet took nearly 10-15 minutes to receive them. As for food, items were forgotten and requests were never brought out. My Prime Rib was fatty and lukewarm. Not something I would ever need to order again. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, an upscale grille and bar feel with a large bar & live music. Unfortunately, I would suggest picking a different restaurant in the vicinity.

Service was so slow, we waited 15 minutes before anyone approached our table. Portion sizes are small for the amount you're paying.

ATMOSPHERE Nothing too special about the atmosphere here. I just love that. It was nice clean open area with large windows and plenty of seating and easy to get around. Love that pimento cheese ball appetizer with that blueberry pepper jelly! For lunch, I had the meat and three. It was all good, especially the collard greens. SERVICE THIS WAS MAYBE SOME OF THE BEST SERVICE I HAD THE WHOLE TIME I WAS IN ORANGE BEACH THIS WEEKEND. OUR SERVER WAS SO AMAZING. I HATE THAT I CAN'T REMEMBER HER NAME, BUT SHE WAS ON TOP OF IT AND SUPER DELIGHTFUL. DRINKS The bar area looked really nice. Most of my table had iced tea which everybody enjoyed. I also got a beer from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I was very impressed by their beer selection and they are a verified venue on the Untappd app so you can go to that app to look at all the beer selection and even filter and sort the beers so that you can have an easier time selecting the proper beverage. It even came out in a glass that matched the beer that I had! I like that extra touch.

They had a meat and three sides which is a southern thing. I chose the fresh catch. with side salad, boiled red potatoes, and greens. I had asked the server for the salad first. But it was brought with the meal. The salad was fresh and crisp, with a surprise of a small Peppa dew pepper. Blazing red with a little heat and delicious. Haven't seen them in a restaurant ever. Unfortunately my fish and potatoes were cold, cold and butter congealed. The greens were warm and good I had also ordered the cornbread. It was refreshing to see that it wasn't the usual cake like kind, plus not the ultra sweet kind either. More bread like with a hint of sweetness. Delicious. The fish and potatoes had a nice flavor but unfortunately the cold food spoiled the experience. Since I was a guest of my sister I didn't say anything about the cold food. What a disappointment. Maybe when I return things will be better.

I have a few faves like the cheesy mushrooms and the BBQ shrimp, and nowadaya you can't just look at the regular menu. You have to check out their daily specials board because they are constantly knocking it out of the park with creative new dishes and fresh catches. The atmosphere is just even more welcoming, but the outdoor seating is much improved with some sand and stage, perfect for enjoying the coastal breeze. They updated their operating hours too, so they are now open daily from 11 AM to 10 PM. Whether you want to escape the usual tourist trap seafood lines, watch a game on their big screens, or just grab a ice cold beer, or really strong drink, with friendly folks, this place just keeps getting better. If you haven't been by lately, you are seriously missing out. Highly recommended!!! 5/26/26
