Horrible food and even worse service... new management sucks worse than before. Sat for 45 mins and the smart ass bartender downstairs was high as a kite. Asked to order and she just stared at me. The barback even was like what the heck is she doing. Walked out of there with a party of 6. Never going back after years of living in town, having my boat next door and used to be good. Very nice stop for a great view during the day and as the sun sets. Good food at bar. The OB flatbread pizza was tasty. Felt a bit like a Cheers bar. The locals were recognized and lots of conversation took place. Newcomers were treated respectfully, but with a bit of skepticism. Or so it seemed. Overall, I'd recommend trying this unique structure. Cocktails were well made and decor was fun to look at. Colorful wooden swivel bar stools are large and perfect for a tiki bar. Limited bathroom availability. Nice accessible ramp with sturdy railings for mobility challenged customers. This last comment is important to me personally. read more

I loved this place when it was Pleasure Island Tiki Hut. It's still cool now but it lost a bit of its charm. I used to rave about this little spot along the bay that had the best corn fritters, live music and great atmosphere. It's still a nice evening out but each time we've been lately there's a minimal crowd and the live bands aren't as good. We decided to try out the cheeseburger and fish n chips. The fish n' chips were good but the burger was not at all. We only took a few bites. It was definitely a low quality frozen burger. We used to love this spot because everything was fresh and tasty. Little things like the jalapeno ranch on the burger was so unique and memorable. The fries were very thin and tasted freezer burnt. A little TLC would really help this awesome location as its unique tiki design makes for a great beachy atmosphere. read more

1 hour 30 min wait for food; we inquired and they said the order had been in for 40 minutes, 20 minutes later we inquired again and they said they delivered and we weren't sitting at our table. From Pleasure Island Tiki to The Tiki Safe Harbor to The Tiki there's been lots of changes here since hurricane Sally and Covid. Everything has changed as of 7/1/24 with new ownership and management, welcome to Tiki & Raw Bar by Barometer with restaurateurs Mark Smith and Barrett Hobbs. Mark has been an executive chef a several restaurants, most recently at CoastAL and both Smith & Hobbs are long time veterans if Cumberland Hospitality, so they know the biz.  This fantastic location overlooks Terry Cove near Sportsman Marina in Orange Beach with indoor seating in the big Tiki, patio seating and a lower outdoor picnic tables, by the water, with the Sand Pit Bar.  Understanding that it is new and in process of a big transition I couldn't wait to give them a try, after all my honey has been a fan of this spot for years. There's some new comfy chairs but the overall vibe remains all Tiki. We opted for the Fish & Chips which is Atlantic Cod with an Island Lager Beer Batter, served with a good coleslaw and seasoned fries, cocktail and tartar sauces. It was very good and we both love Cod so this was a treat. Next up were the wings, I am very picky about my chicken wings, and these are outstanding. The Island Wings are good sized, perfectly cooked with Island Spices & Island BBQ Sauce and just the right amount of heat. They were easily some of the very best I've had in the region.  They're still working on more new stuff but there's still going to be live music, and both expansion to the menu and space and I'm looking forward to the upcoming new drinks & loyalty program. Bottom line: The staff are friendly and welcoming, the view is awesome, the food is good and I will be a regular at the new Tiki & Raw Bar by Barometer. Stopped by one afternoon for some drinks and appetizers. The ambience was fun - being right on the bay in a tiki hut! The live music was just starting as we were finishing up, but they sounded great. The appetizers were delicious and so were the drinks (mango margarita and pina colada daiquiri). Server was sweet, funny and personable! read more

We were looking for a place to watch football near Orange Beach and found this great place. The oysters and fried shrimp basket were great! The food was fresh, fast, and good quality. The service was also outstanding. The location on the marina was perfect on a beautiful day. They also have lots of tvs making it a great place to watch a game on Saturday. We will definitely come back if we are in the area again. read more

Went here on the recommendation of my friend Mike. He and his wife have a place down here where they spend about 2/3 of their year. I wanted a great burger and fries and some good drinks! I left completely happy with the best burger I've had in a long long time, six oysters with Louisiana hot sauce, and three Tiki margaritas! Great wait staff! The view was awesome as well! read more

Over the years I've had some service issues with the OLD Tiki bar. Well let me say this. The new owners have really stepped up the service and the FOOD ! And the Service ! Bartended (John ?) recommend the Shrimp Basket and man was it great. There was plenty of shrimp and the highlight for me was the "steak fries". Now I know you're thinking "what could be so special about steak fries ? Well these were not your average "steak fries". These are thin sliced but just thick enough to not be chips. The shrimp are really good but the steak fries made the meal. I will be back. I would give them 10 stars if possible. read more

Save yourself the time and your hard earned money! I have tried to give this place a shot for the last four years, but the menu is terrible and keeps getting worse! Times are tough, but who wants a fried bologna sandwich?! Today, I attempted, again, after a long day on the water with family because it's so convenient when parking our boat at Sportsman! Once again, the menu changed and the staff is always different, so that says a lot. I can deal with taking away happy hour, but at 3 pm they had no chicken of any kind or boudin balls. While we were there (30-40 min max), we heard three tables complaining about the food. Not sure about anything else because that was all our party was inquiring about. Don't be fooled by the five star reviews. You can clearly read them, the detail and the recent time frame and tell they are comped for their review. Unique tiki shaped building. Waitress super friendly and very attentive. Wasn't very big on inside and was dark out so couldn't see outdoor seating. Visited in December and had the thick plastic for walls so assume open up in summer but it was warm in there. Had the Caribbean Pork Nachos and they were just Okay. Good thing waitress asked if I wanted sauce on side as it was a little spicy. However, it did have a good flavor even though was sweet and spicy. Personally the nachos would have been much better with salsa and not the spicy sauce. Husband had the oysters and were not as fresh tasting compared to another restaurant he likes. We thought the oysters were decently priced. Also had a singer (who was good) but was pretty loud in the small space to talk to one another. read more

Long time favorite but not happy with the changes. They took all the snacks off the menu. Guess they're trying to push people to order meals. Drinks have gotten much smaller. What used to be a small bushwhacker is now the large. Same price. And we order with caramel and they didn't do it like they used to. No caramel around the inside of the cup. Lots of cost cutting which I get but we used to sit for a couple of hours drinking and order snacks. Now we stop for one drink and move on. Bring back the old menu. And don't be so stingy on the drinks. Edit: we ordered a large bushwhacker and then a small. I think the price difference was about $3.00. Looking at the different style of cups used for each size, it looked like they held the same amount. Finished the large then poured the small as delivered to the table into the large cup. It filled it completely. What's more interesting is that the large was delivered about 80% full originally. So we actually got more product in the less expensive "small" than in the "large". For less money. Come on guys. Let's fix this. Bring back the large cups and fix the menu. read more

this place used to be a hidden gem, a best kept secret, with a simple but well executed menu and views and a sea breeze that can't be beat. they have new ownership or something in the last 30 days. the menu had changed. everything tasted like it came off a Cisco truck--2 weeks ago--and was still being served. a tuna poke bowl by the Gulf--but the tuna wasn't even fresh. total disappointment. still a great view and sea breeze, always pretty good service, but don't bother with the food. read more
