This little sleeper of a place was quite the surprise. When we pulled up there was very little business which caused us concern. We were seated immediately by the staff and sat outside with awesome views of the marina. For an appetizer we chose the crab and shrimp dip served with naan bread. The dip had plenty of meat and sprinkled with thinly sliced parm. The naan bread was hot as well. I chose the Bayou Cajun Pasta that was full of sausage, shrimp, crawfish and peppers. It was piping hot and the spicy level was high but not spicy hot. My son had the shrimp and fish basket. The shrimp were large and perfectly prepared. Came in with a larger party of over 50+ people, so the circumstances were a bit different. Each table was waited on by a team of 4-5 servers. They did an exceptional job. The inside of the restaurant was beautifully designed, with an upscale beach vibe right on the marina. As well as, a tiki bar for drinks and more food options. Lots of outdoor seating is available during the warmer months. Offering a lunch/brunch menu from 10am-3pm mon-sat, opened at 9am on sunday and dinner menu till close. I had the Shrimp Scampi & brussel sprouts to eat and the Orange Beach Sangria. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The pasta had an overpowering lemon flavor and the brussel sprouts in a vinegar-like dressing. The atmosphere upon arriving to the hostess was excellent, but it went downhill from there. The calamari was chewy and covered in oil, the crab dip was mediocre, and the chargrilled oysters had no sauce or juices left--just bland and pale, as if they hadn't hit a hot grill, but were cooked in an oven. This is becoming a go to place along Canal Rd. The Brunch/Lunch menu is a great value. Portions are satisfying and menu items are varied for different tastes. Dinner menu is also very good. The staff is great! Attentive, but not hovering. The view of the marina adds to the indoor/outdoor seating options. Additionally, they are able to accommodate large, planned, group functions. Both of our seafood dishes were outstanding and plentiful. It hasn't changed much since the other restaurant was there decor wise. The was I'm sure a little new; needs more training on the menu. The bill comes with the 3.5 % already on it figured in to the total. Not much in the way of specials which are needed this time of year. Just a caution make sure you look at your bill. We happened to be in Orange beach and stopped in unexpectedly. We were able to sit upstairs that has a view over the marina. I have eaten here a few times, with a large group and just my kids. Each time everything was absolutely delicious. We tried so many dishes from two kinds of salads, to the ahi sandwich, chicken sandwich, empanadas, seafood appetizer dips and LOTS of drinks! Everything was amazing. My kids loved their burgers! The service was fast and super friendly. The restaurant itself is in such a beautiful location and the views are amazing. Beautiful view of the water from their patio. Service was slow. Food was alright. I ordered the BLT which was pretty good, with roasted potatoes. The restaurant only had a few other guests when we arrived ... hopefully missing whatever meal rush (before or after)... but it took a while to get our food. :( our server was nice. read more

We have been twice now and have been pleased with each visit. They kept a lot of the previous places ambiance which is very beachy upscale but casual at the same time. Our first trip in we sat in the dining room and enjoyed the service we received. Both of us had a fish dish and an app of the hot crab dip which was a winner. Next time in we chose to sit at the bar and received excellent service from the bartenders. We got the crab dip again and also split a fish sandwich. The cocktails were great as well. We will return and try some new dishes again soon and recommend a visit! read more

I had high hopes for this one...unfortunately, it was a mixed bag. The cheese curds were excellent. The fried fish and shrimp platters were good. My grouper was great, but my wife's not so much. The gouda grits were thick, like stuffing. Maybe that's just how they make them, but honestly, seemed like gouda thanksgiving stuffing. Unfortunately, the service was poor. Andrew disappeared for long stretches of time and left me with the check for a long time. I tried to get his attention for some ketchup for a few minutes, but had to walk back to the kitchen door and ask someone for it. Honestly, the service killed it for me. Food was borderline inedible and I NEVER write reviews to complain but this was so bad. The conch fritters were burnt and yet somehow still raw but to the point I had to spit it out. The grits were maybe cooked in the morning and left to dry not sure what was going on. Bread was so stale and crusty on my sandwich. We left feeling so confused about our experience as we heard very good things. Our server however, was SO great and sweet he took very good care of us. The food here was very mid. It was similar to an overpriced sports bar but the setting seemed like a hotel beach bar. Our server and host were really nice. My review takes into consideration a new restaurant, which always has kinks to work out. I've tried every restaurant at this location since the original (I believe) Bayside Grille. It's a wonderful location with beautiful views. Easy to get there by car or boat or golf cart. I would love for this restaurant to succeed. My friend and I went at 2:00 in the afternoon. I had the shrimp scampi, which I thought was delicious! We split the amazing shaved Brussels and my friend had the burger and fries. The food was very good! My only complaint would be that, considering we were the only people in the restaurant, the service was slow. We ended up having to walk up to the front to find our server in order to pay. It's a bright and beautiful space with great views. Ambiance 10/10. Worth a try! read more

We had a party of 20 celebrating a birthday. Someone came by and put bottles of water on our table, but we didn't have any glasses. we had to ask twice for glasses. We ordered drinks and it took about 30 min. to get drinks. We finally got to order food. It took about an hour to get our food. They weren't that busy. Our server was way over her heard. She was flustered every time she came to our table. One person in our party asked the manager for help and she told her that she doesn't help the servers. Food is sub par. The server had to redo our checks 3 times. We got there at 5:30 and left at 9:00. I don't plan on going back. read more

Had brunch here today. Hubby had the prime rib with mashed potatoes. I had the Blt with fried potatoes. The food was outstanding!!! JD was our server, he was amazing. We had 5.00 bloody marys. The shrimp and crab dip was very good. All other dishes were not. Conch fritters were burnt. The etouffe had almost no seafood in it, and the roux tasted like Wolf brand chili. Restaurant is very nice with great views. Last night, roughly 4-5 tables taken upstairs. Reservation started at 7:30. Ordered drinks which arrived after 8. My drink was terrible. Later explained as lack of sweet vermouth. Food arrived. Grouper was inedible. Salad for $19 was like a side salad at other restaurants and chicken was chewy without flavor almost like boiled.
