Oscar's Alehouse East stands tall amongst other shops including Carraba's Italian Grill and medical offices off the stretch on Ritchie Hwy by the clock tower. Be it weekends and off hours, I've had pleasant service and nourishing meals at Oscar's. The staff here have all been attentive and quick. I've enjoyed the salads and sandwiches of quality ingredients and all satisfying. The menu covers quite a range of options, plenty to tickle taste buds and some adjustable to your delight. A great choice for sports fans, plenty of screens across the dining space, and parking is never a hassle. Definitely recommend for casual no reservations type of good eats!

Went healthy since it was a late dinner, lettuce wrapped burger & side salad, very good

Representing 2023 in alphabet series, O is for Oscar's. No relation to the Oscars or Academy Awards, which is timely as there was an announcement they will be only YouTube starting in 2029. In March 2023, I was in a games Meetup in Glen Burnie, and there were a few occasions, where I went with people afterwards for late dinner. We went down the road on MD-2 to just south of 100 to Oscar's. We all sat at the bar. I went healthier because it was late almost 10 PM. I got a lettuce wrapped burger & side salad instead of fries. Service was good as was the burger. Bar area was big in the middle, and the restaurant itself was large. I'd go back if I was over here.

This place was awesome and I wish it were closer to my house because I'd be here all the time. This alehouse is huge inside, I wasn't prepared. The bar area is at the center with tables and chairs along the perimeter. It's dark-ish in there but that makes it cozy. Our waitress was attentive despite it taking my friend and I a while to decide what to eat and drink. I ended up with a Loose Cannon, a bowl of the Portuguese soup, and the fried green beans. All were amazing. Excellent visit!

A welcoming spot for the whole family, with a huge craft beer selection and something for everyone on the menu. I'm a big fan of the southwest rolls, pizza, and Monday Burger Night! The staff is always friendly, fast, and knows their stuff.

The service was superb! The server anticipated all of our needs from napkins, to another round of drinks, to ordering more appetizers! She was fantastic!!!! The food was really good as well. The wings tasted fresh, not frozen. They were hot and flavorful. The ranch tasted homemade. The three cheese crab dip was my absolute favorite; the best crab dip I've tasted in a very long time. If you do not like roasted garlic do not eat this. It was full of garlicky goodness and crab meat!!!! It comes with tortilla chips and ciabatta bread that is grilled. The server said she likes the crab dip with pita bread. We will have to try that the next time. The atmosphere was very relaxing and quaint. We can't wait to try this place again!

They're dog friendly, though I will say the dog next to us got a little active with their friend, which was a bit distracting. Overall, it still had a quaint atmosphere. We ordered two vodka lemonades and two spicy margaritas. A little later he brought out a cheese board and said he was training someone, they had made an extra one, and he wanted us to have it for free. Super nice of him! We sat there enjoying our drinks, the cheese board, and watching the Blue Angels fly by. Great atmosphere. When we asked for the bill it was $73. Keep in mind, that's for four drinks because everything else was given to us for free. We never asked for the peach drink or the cheese board--he offered them. We paid the bill and left a good tip, but come on...$73 for four basic drinks is crazy. Just be aware if you're stopping in. The drinks are not cheap. Even with the free extras, it didn't feel like a good value.

We started with Potato Cakes with crème fraiche, they had a nice crunch, a tender interior with subtle flavor. I'd never had them with crème fraiche, it was a nice change and the mild tanginess with the creamy texture complimented the Cakes well. I ordered the Main Street with Weisswurst, a Pretzel and plain Spätzle. It was my first, the veal's flavor is understated in comparison to Bratwurst or Knackwurst (not on the menu) and was a pleasant changeup. The Pretzel was little disappointing while it was a decent pretzel, it lacked the crisp crust and distinctive flavor I expected. As evident by the rating while worthy of note, it's not a game changer. I'd ordered a large plain Spätzle, which was two regular portions, but was served Spätzle with cheese I tasted it and it wasn't my thing, which is not to say it was bad, I just don't care for cheese in dishes like that. Our server swapped one cheese for plain (my wife had happily stolen the other) and enjoyed the replacement. I found that the grilled onions gave it a nice homey flavor. Mistakes happen and it turned out to be a win in the end. We shared a couple of desserts and by far, my favorite was the Black Forest Cupcake. It's on the large side, they might be able to cut on the weighty crème icing, the chocolate cake and soaked cherries were a delight. The cherries are a significant improvement over the Marchinos I had before, if only there were more. Rathskeller can get a little loud, as it is a relatively small space with hard surfaces so voices reflect, it wasn't packed this afternoon, so it wasn't an issue.
