If you want to roll into 1960's/70's Italian Ristorante/Diner this is the place. Time warp for real. It's almost comforting how dated this place is and they do NOT apologize for it. They are very confident and the food backs it up. The staff are hand's on and they will take care of you. The pizza is so good. This is a low-key place to sit-down or take-out. I am not sure if this place has a disAbled restroom but they definitely have wheelchair access into restaurant. The tables/booths are a little close together but the staff, again, is very hand's on and willing to assist but not overbear. We will definitely go back. read more

We finally got around to eating here and we wondered why it took us so long to get there. It was great. Service was on the slow side but thorough and polite. We had the lasagna and the chicken marsala which was good. The chicken was thinly sliced and melt-in-your-mouth tender and the sauce mellow and rich. The lasagna (my litmus test for Italian restaurants) was good. The pasta was still firm, you could taste the ricotta (not mixed with a lot of fillers) and the meat while on the less than plentiful side was just fine. Their sauce is very nice, light and bright, meaning not too sweet, not salty and you can taste the tomato with no bitterness. The bread was on the white bread side of Italian breads but was toasty and crisp. The American coffee was good too. Not thick and strong or weak. It was nicely brewed and strong enough to compliment the crisp cannoli. It was 6pm on a Sunday and the place was full and the food delicious. A good place to go for good Italian food. The food is amazing and the cleanliness of the kitchen is very impressive for anyone to see. The owner Anthony is very accommodating and his brother is a fantastic chef. Nice, mellow dining area. The bread was fake and pretty much not edible after about four minutes of being on the table. It became rock hard and i wasn't able to enjoy it with my meal. However, everything else was great. The starters were really good, the pasta fagioli was on point. The portions were enough to feed a family household. The red sauce was fresh and homemade. We went there bunch of times and there's one thing that its always the same. Service sucksssssss. Sooooo bad. The owner is so creepy and does not know how to welcome people as they walk in. Everyone acts like their confused at all times. Unfortunately the place its getting worse by the day. I will never go back there again. I'm suprised he still in business. Honestly!!!!!! Also it felt like your in church. Atmosphere was so weird and feels like you can't even be yourself. They seem to cater to older peeps then middle age. I would give 0 star if i could! Horrible! The service sucks! Nobody sat us down even there were many empty tables. Nobody said hello. Waitress took forever to come to our table. We waited 45 mins, no food came. Then, our appetizer came. Then another 45 mins, nothing came. My daughter even fell asleep at the table. During the whole waiting period, no one came to ask if we need anything or apology for the delay. Some waitresses were at the front just chatting! I finally told them, we would leave because the pizza took so long. One of the lady put on a bad face and said that we still need to pay because the pizza was cooking. We were there a little past five. We got our pizza at 6:30! And the pizza was horrible too! Hardly any cheese on it. I can get the same pizza from other places for a lot cheaper. We will not come back, because the food and BAD service! What else can you ask for? read more

We were in town for a baseball tournament and ordered trays of chicken Parm, penne vodka, baked ziti and salad. We worked with Anthony who was extremely helpful and professional. When we arrived at the restaurant the staff carried our food to the car and packed everything in the car for us. The chicken Parm was the best I ever had and the pasta was amazing. All fresh ingredients. Too bad Gino's isn't close to us. If we are ever in town again we will be back. read more

Disappointing. Pizza toppings were terribly skimpy. They actually shaved the sausage and meatball as a topping. Substandard. I will say that the crust was nice and crispy which was good. The Chicken Parmesan was skimpy on the Marinara with 2 pieces of the chicken stacked in a gratin dish with only sauce and cheese on the top. If it was nicely plated, it would have been fine. I have been going to Gino's over the past year. So many people said it is such a nice family owned restaurant. The father who is old still cooks and the mother sits in a chair on display. Tonight I ordered a club soda. $1.50 every time you get a refill. I think they need to get with the times and have free refills. Prices are high for what it is. We ordered take out on a Saturday night. We ordered garlic bread with cheese (on recommendation from the person who took our order) and a large plain pizza. I am originally from NYC, and I have to say best pizza upstate, I felt like I was getting a slice back home. The garlic bread, however, was too salty, and I wish we hadn't ordered it. The wait was about 20/25 minutes, and the staff was very courteous. I wish the wait wasn't that long for a take out order; especially since the restaurant wasn't busy when I went inside. The food tastes great but he service I received was not. I ordered a meatball pizza from their restaurant. The flavor was good, I just wish the meatballs weren't small pieces. When I got into the restaurant and sat down, our waitress came over and asked us what we'd like to drink. We asked for water. I was there with my husband and toddler. The waitress only brought out water for myself and husband. Then we orders our pizza but we weren't brought out bread like every other table. We asked and then we were brought some. When we asked to wrap our leftover pizza it was put on a paper plate with another one on top. Not sure I would go here if I'm in the area again unless I order to go. read more

My experience at Gino's was immaculate! My waitress Lauren was was not only hospitable but all around charming enough to inspire awe. She was amazing in her verisimilitude, able to take my order and clean up after other customers almost instantaneously. With such poise and precision I wouldn't want any other waitress. 10/10 would go again! She had recommended to me the veal cacciatore and it was a choice that made me think of home, to a simpler time when mamma used to roll her pasta fresh in the morning. Reminiscent of Sicilia. I have had the pleasure of dining there four times. The first time my youngest son and his wife took us there because they loved it. The food was wonderful! The friend calamari was the best I ever had. Crisp and not at all rubbery, the chicken marsela is wonderful as is the chicken parm. Their Cannolis are heavenly. The only drawback is as everything is made from scratch so you have a wait, but it is so worth the wait! While waiting enjoy the baskets of hot italian bread and butter that they replace as soon as it is gone. It is our favorite place to go! read more

We have been ordering from this restaurant for over 30 years! That alone should tell you that the food is great. My husband swears by their marinara sauce and has been trying to get the 'secret recipe' for years. Our grandson loves the calamari and our daughter comes up from the city just to get the veal parmigiana...This is a family owned business and they do their best to make everyone feel welcome. If you want great Italian food, this is the place to go. The best Lasagna this side of the Mississippi River. (Never been west of it so I can't comment) Expect to wait a while for your food because it's not precooked and warmed up, it's made specifically for your order, the noodles are light, the mozzarella is to die for and the sauce is terrific.
