Once again Pizza Village did not disappoint! We had my sons graduation party on Sunday. Typically our parties have been in the catering hall but since we had a smaller group we had it in the restaurant. They had partitions that closed one section off so we had the whole side to ourselves. The food was delicious! I especially enjoyed the sausage and peppers and eggplant rollatini. Chicken Marsala was very good. I didn't taste everything because I was too full but we did bring home quite a bit of leftovers. Great pizza slices here! The crust is thin and crisp and they are covered with generous helpings of fresh veggies and toppings.

I've dined here many times and no matter what I ordered it was always delicious, except for last evening. We ordered the 2 for $20 dinner special plus an appetizer. We had Fried Calamari which was barely breaded and very lightly fried that they tasted very rubbery that we couldn't finish it. We had their delicious Dill Dressing on our salads but, the salads were mostly lettuce stalks and discolored as if the salads were premade and old. Our entree was Chicken Marsala which we have had it here many times and is our favorite until last evening. The Marsala sauce was very sweet as if it were made with a Sherry instead. The sides of broccoli and potato croquettes were ok but, all in all we were very disappointed in our meal. Maybe there's a new chef who changed the recipes, if so, I don't think that we'll be going back here any time soon. read more

So we like their pizza, which says a lot in New York. However, their delivery through the app is a bit unreliable. My order was delayed because the app saw my address as my across the street neighbor. In my order notes, I asked to be called upon delivery. If they had done that, they would have been able to deliver our order on time. Now we're 20 minutes past delivery time and still waiting. Just read the notes and try to call the person who ordered. That's not too much to ask, is it? Update: when the delivery finally arrived, the driver was able to confirm that the restaurant did not attempt a prior delivery, and that the restaurant was just behind on deliveries. read more

My family and I went there Sunday. This was our first time there and our last time there. I ordered the stracciatella soup it's supposed to have egg, spinach in broth. It's very good if you know how to make it. Waitress put it on the table I looked at it and said to my niece what the hell is this. There was no egg or spinach in it. I tasted it. It was broth and Parmesan cheese that the cheese was a big melted ball. It was salty cheese soup nothing close to stracciatella soup. I called the waitress back and asked her where is the spinach and egg. She said if I wanted spinach it was an extra charge. I said it's advertised with the ingredients under the name of soup and I have to pay extra for what is supposed to be in the soup that makes up stracciatella? It was disgusting I told her to bring it back. This isn't right they are leaving main ingredients out of dishes and if you want the main ingredient they charge you a extra fee for it. Thats what I call a rip off. They should take this soup off menu if they aren't gonna put the ingredients in the soup. My nephew ordered spaghetti the sauce was disgusting it was salty no flavor at all. I can imagine how the other dishes taste like. If we have to pay extra for ingredients that's supposed to be in the dish we ordered I might as well stayed home and made it my self with the right ingredients in it. We won't be going back anytime soon they try to fool you by leaving out ingredients to save money. We didn't get what we ordered or our money's worth. Parmesan cheese soup they should of put on the menu. I'm glad my Italian grandmother wasn't there. She would of had a field day with the cook. I've had mixed reviews of Pizza Village over the past 30 years I have lived in hopewell. Pizza was always good, but I never really craved going back. This all changed while attending a superbowl party this year. Friends ordered several pizzas with different toppings. Even after sitting around I was catching myself eating slice after slice. I finally asked where this delicious pizza came from, and to my surprise it was from Pizza Village! I would absolutely have to guess they have some new employees, which are making a positive impact on their food. Keep up the good work pizza village, I will be back soon! read more

I normally don't have any issues ordering from here but this time, the food wasn't that good. I ordered buffalo wings and a buffalo chicken pizza and couldn't taste ANY buffalo sauce whatsoever. Also, the pizza had no taste. And the crust was burnt and hard. It's almost like they just tossed chicken on dough and over baked it. The sauce had no flavor. The cheese had no flavor. It wasn't what I ordered, and it was very disappointing. I had to add my own hot sauce and garlic powder to get any taste from this pizza. If you want pasta you will get great variety here. With dinner we got a basket of garlic knots and fresh baked Italian bread. The house salad dressing is creamy dill. You can sit in 3 different areas which is great. They have a pizzeria with booths, a restaurant and an atrium with all glass wall. They have all the typical available Italian fare and pizza plus plenty of high end entrees in the 2 restaurants. Huge party room with dance floor and gigantic chandelier too. I was here Wednesday night as they have a 2 for $20 special Mon - Thur. We always get the chicken giovnelli - 3 huge chicken cutlets with eggplant and mozzarella cheese in a buttery brown gravy. Absolutely delicious. It comes with salad and 1 side dish, plus plenty of toasted Italian bread and garlic knots. This dish can easily feed 3 people. The waitress was very nice and attentive. I'm a long time local, and Pizza Village was a place to go after a ball game (especially when they had the arcade machines). What do I think now? Mediocre at best. The pizza isn't anything special, and there are other places for the same price and make better pizza. I did 3 sit in dinners with family and the food wasn't good. I had seafood diablo (I forget the exact name) and the shrimp was overcooked so bad, the clams were bad, and the paste was also overcooked. My family member liked there chicken parm, but didn't rav about it. I think of this as more of a take out place versus a good restaurant. The calzones are good, as are the pizza rolls. read more

Pizza Village used to be an absolutely wonderful place. My parents used to take me here weekly when I was younger, usually after CCD at Saint Columba (sorry Mom and Dad, I'm Agnostic now). We would come in, order, find a seat, and then my dad and I would play Galaga until our pizza came. The servers were always wonderful, the pizza tasted great, there were arcade games to be played, and there was an awesome fish tank to look at. For years this was the case. Many, many years, in fact. However, within the last four or so, everything has changed, and I can't even begin to express how upsetting that is to me. The first change was the removing of the arcade games. My beloved Galaga machine was no more. Fine. But every single time I came, albeit much less than when I was a kid, something else was different or gone, and not in a good way. And then I was there today, for the first time in over a year, and this place was not my Pizza Village anymore. The art on the walls was the same, but everything else was gone. The servers were horribly rude, the pizza was okay at best, and the fish tank I spent my childhood looking at had disappeared. If you're looking for some good pizza and nice waitstaff, this is no longer the place to go. However, if you're looking for servers who clearly have somewhere better to be and pizza that tastes like it's been frozen and reheated a few times, then Pizza Village is the place you've been searching for and I hope you're happy with your latest find. Went to pizza village for a late meal ordered a cheese steak and grilled chicken wrap then sat in the seat your self area. The cheese steak came with no cheese and was all peppers and onions topped with 3 thin pieces of steak, the chicken wrap was the worst chicken I've ever eaten in my life, it had the consistency of gummy bears! The staff was hanging around bsing behind the counter. We threw out almost an entire wrap and sand which in front of all of them without anyone blinking an eye. We left so hungry my wife and I went to the pizzeria in the plaza next door to actually get a slice to have some dinner. Wedding Reception Bliss! When my at the time fiance said I want Pizza Village to cater our Reception I thought "Really Honey a pizza place, its kind of a formal event for a pizza place to cater." Good thing I kept my mouth shut! As I am writing this I am polishing off the last of my leftovers.....I never finished this review and its a good thing. Since my wedding we also had Pizza Village cater my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary party. Each steak was cooked to order and the service once again was fabulous. It is a pleasure to write about my time at Pizza Village and had been planning to write something for a long time. Tonight I finally sat by the computer after another delicious meal and service while at the restaurant itself. Perhaps my only complaint is that I had to circle the parking lot a couple of times before a customer pulled out, and I found a space. But I suppose this is one complaint a restaurant wants to have considering it is a testament to how much the community enjoys the restaurant to the extent that the parking lot is packed on many evenings. Regardless of how incredible the food may be, the service matters most of all in my eyes. I work in the incredible human service field, but it is an environment where I must always be on my toes and watch what I say. My free time is extremely important to me, and it is important that the staff remain accommodating toward my reasonable requests and benign eccentriticies. I have zero tolerance for any restaurant or business that treats me as an imposition or makes me feel like it is necessary to walk on eggshells with everything coming out of my mouth. (The joke I use all the time is that there are numerous places where they would happily treat me like toxic waste for free. It is silly to literally pay for it.) There have been plenty of horror stories at other restaurants including one where I was briefly confused about a fixed price menu, and the waiter pounded his finger down on the menu and yelled at me in front of my family! What I am trying to say is that I never have and never will worry about such treatment at the Pizza Village!! The restaurant accommodates my problems because I have some issues due to living with a mild, albeit very challenging case of something called Asperger's syndrome. I have a phobia of unnecessary waste and appreciate how the staff listens to my requests regarding not putting a straw in the beverage and not bringing more bread than I am able to consume, and it thus ends up thrown away. I also advocated for the salad dressing to be placed on the side in a ceramic, washable dish instead of the plastic cup that many restaurants typically use out of convenience. They listened to this accommodation when many other restaurants would have either ignored it or forgotten. The ambience brings me back to the scenes of Italy with murals depicting the sunset beauty of Venice. The restaurant also has a side catering service called Anthony's Catering and they seem to accommodate all sorts of venues and lifestyles. For example, I saw on Facebook that they worked on the reception for a same-sex male couple and that is nice to hear in a world where discrimination is still rampant elsewhere. I always ask for the same server, Tiffany because I am used to her and do not have to worry about the others judging this innocuous request as creepy and/or stalker-ish like others in past businesses have done. Tiffany works with young adults who have severe autism at a local residential school as her main career, and this is a friendly place to bring your young children who have special needs. For dinner tonight I had a grilled chicken salad and cappuccino. Both were delicious and a while back the restaurant did not charge me for a dessert because it was my birthday, and they even put a candle on the cake! My birthday is something that I take very seriously and will never forget their kindness. read more

Love the place and have been ordering since we moved here 2years ago. Girl who took my order was very rude. Didn't let me finish and jus asked my name and said it will be ready in 20 mins. I reached and the guy upfront said "no salad" with pasta. I told him I was never asked abt salad. The girl jumps in between and said she asked While she was on phone with another customer. Still ignored her but did mentioned to the guy that I was not even asked abt salad. The guy said he will get me a salad and I did add something else to my order. When the guy was preparing my order this girl was handing over someoen else order, she slowly wishpered "I don't have Time". The other customer and this girl were not have any form of conversation. So y she has to comment that she don't have time when I am standing there and waiting for my order to fulfill. Her rude behavior and comment aggravated me. I did asked the guy weather they have a manager or this is a family owned business as the girl was very rude. He said may be because it lunch time and are busy. I told him again that this girl was very rude and she needs to change her behavior. I am also busy and do not behave rude if I am busy. this is a difficult time for everyone.
