Given that it's Valentine's Day, this place is packed (as expected), still, everything went smooth. Great pizza, kids loved it, very reasonable timing. Came in around 5pm, it's now 6:45; we were seated in 20 minutes, had drinks and appetizers ten minutes just after being seated and are just wrapping things up. Did not like the service for take out at this restaurant. I know they are known for their pizza and other entrees at this chain restaurant, but I ordered a simple salad to go and requested it to be prepared a certain way. Not only did it take too long, but they gave me the wrong size salad. Normally, I would have asked for a refund, and I did, but by the time the manager got the right "key" to open the register, the correct salad was brought to the front of the restaurant where I was waiting. I've order from this Giordano's before and my Oder has been wrong twice already. I call in today and the girl on the phone was so fast and rushy that I had a feeling my order was going to be wrong... sure enough she got it wrong. I ordered a Chicago Classic and she put in for a sausage! Then they tell me that I can take the one they already made or wait 30 mins for a new one! The manager was not accommodating at all! He didn't offer anything for the inconvenience and just said we'd have to wait. I'm not asking for a free meal, but if you mess up someone's dinner, the least you can do is offer a discount or an appetizer something to make me feel like you really feel bad for the mistake your people did. My friend and I walked in and everything was fine. We got seated and given the menus. BUT THEN, LET ME TELL YALL. We stayed there for 25 straight minutes and nobody came to take our order. This location gives this change a horrible name. I order $60 worth of food waited almost 2 hours fir the food to come cold. The Manger Steve decided to tell me what temperature the pizza comes out the oven(what do that have to do with your delivery service). A great restaurant for quality food and service. Staff is extremely welcoming the second you walk in. Got a table rather quickly. Went in there for a pizza and salad, server gave me the rundown of what would be best for me at the moment. The wait wasn't long at all. The server recommended me their House Salad, which did not disappoint. It was plated nicely and tasted great! Pizza was hot and delicious, came to me just as I was calming down from my salad. Server treated me like I was their main priority, which I really enjoyed. Quality of food, timely service, and friendly staff made giving this review so easy. Not too pricey either. Terrible service. Ordered a small deep dish pizza for dine in. It took almost two hours to get to my table. Asked what was taking so long and was told a lot of phone orders for pizza either pick up or delivery. They filled those orders first. Will never dine in again at this location. Also the bathrooms were out of service. Restuarant patons had to use the employee restroom which was digusting. Next time i will order my pizza for delivery and eat in at my house. read more

I love this pizza! I recently moved in the past month and have ordered from this location twice. I get the same thing for me and my boyfriend to share; a large sausage thin crust with giardiniera. We love it. It has arrived hot both times. Last night, (National Pizza Day), it arrived so hot, I had to let my slices cool a little. The pizza here is fantastic! I like the family atmosphere because it's very kid friendly. Our waitress was great with our kids making a mess on the table and she made sure to check on us several times during our dinner. We loved the boneless wings and mozzerella triangles. Came here for a quick lunch on a Sunday......that turned into a two hour meal. The server brought us an appetizer that we didn't order, told us she was super busy , and that the kitchen was backed up. I love Giordano's. It's my favorite deep dish pizza place, but this location was the worst I've ever visited. Our waiter was very inattentive. It took forever for him to come to our table after we sat down, he was late with our appetizers, and when our pizza arrived it was lukewarm. Other waiters filled our drinks and assisted us with requests while our waiter couldn't even be bothered to fold our take-out boxes when it was time to go. I have nothing bad to say about their pizza. I LOVE me some Giordanos. The problem that I had was with a waitress. A cousin of mine and her finace came to visit from Michigan state. They wanted to eat pizza. What better pizza right? We were a group of 6, plus my cousin's newborn baby. First of all, the waitress that we got couldn't speak english. Most of us speak spanish, but that's not the point. The fact that we were specifically paired up with this lady annoyed me right of the bat. Why? there was a group of 5 (african americans) that got there after we did, but were seated before. Their waiter spoke english! I guess they figured they would sit the latinos and give them the waitress that can't speak english. She stood at the end of the table handing us our drinks. She gave my cousin a drink, she gave it to me, I gave it to my hubby :/ She brought the appetizers out and kept handing them to my cousins, instead of just placing them on the table. When the pizza came out, same thing. WE had to move the empty plates out of the way and make room for the pizza because she decided to put it right in front of the baby's seat. She was no where to be found for refills. When we finally got her, we had to make sure to order anything else that we wanted. I forgot to mention, she also stood by my cousin (the new mom) and was asking her personal questions. Like, is she breastfeeding. When my cousin answered yes, she then told her that she was going to give her some "tips." O_o She told her not to go out with her shoulders exposed (she was wearing a strapless shirt), because that would cause her milk "to evaporate." I was annoyed and asked her if she could just please go get us our drinks (we didn't have our drinks yet, but she was giving ADVISE). I don't know. I was just annoyed at the whole situation. My cousin's and hubby were too. I was going to ask for the manager, but my husband didn't want me too. I think I should have. She was sooo unprofessional, that it was just annoying. By the way, I did ask her at one point if she was new. She said she wasn't. I would have understood if she was. I'm not saying that I won't be back. Out of all the Giordano's that I've visited, this one was by far the worst. Arrived at 2pm on a Sunday, and the restaurant was fairly empty. We were seated right away (party of 5) and drink orders were taken promptly. After that, the service went way downhill. We ordered an appetizer platter to share, and what came out was very disappointing. For almost $13, I'd expect more than two pieces of garlic bread sliced into bite size pieces and frozen toasted ravioli. Our plates were not cleared from our appetizer until the pizza arrived, and drink glasses went empty for quite a while. When the pizza finally arrived it was fine, but not good like I have expected from other Giordano's locations. The deep dish pizza also arrived to our table lukewarm, and we had to serve ourselves, unlike other locations I have visited. We finally spoke to the manager who stated they were understaffed. That is fine, but at least come by and let us know. He gave us a free dessert (the best part on our meal) but unfortunately by that time it was too little too late. We saw the server maybe 3 times the entire hour and a half we were there, so it's not like she was running around to other tables. I don't plan on visiting this location again as the food and service are much better elsewhere. read more

Poor service on 3 different occasions 1. Ordered ahead got seated left after 30 min because no came to our table, guess they don't get the concept. 2. Ordered lunch for my team one of the sandwiches had a nice long hair 3, Clearly ordered a chicken sandwich but somehow managed tog get a mozzarella sandwich. Other observations, Manager helps out in the kitchen but he doesn't wear a hair net and I saw him pick asparagus off a tray with his bare hands. Was very excited on trying out the famous Chicago pizza for the first time on 8/14 was greeted and seated quickly by the wonderful cashier/hosts. My server illiana was very attentive and cheerful. The pizza here is always great, but it's the service that is lacking. I can't remember accurately the countless amount of times I have ordered from this location in which I remind the representative over the phone to send me crushed pepper, they fail to do so. The most recent occassion was this weekend in which I bought 4 pizzas, asked them not to forget the pepper this time and they said there would be a charge (not a problem) I get charged and I still didn't get any! Now yes it is only crushed pepper, but cmon the repetitive let downs take a toll. If I have to leave my house to get my complete order I minus well visit Home Run Inn instead as it closer to me. read more

I love Giordanos pizza in general. Yesterday I got a lunch special which was $10. Anyway I got the baby sausage deep dish with a side of Parmesan garlic fries and a lemonade. The deep dish was amazing as usual. The fries by themselves were just ok, but with the ranch sauce provided were amazing! The servings were more than enough. Deep dish pizza is one of the best creations known to man. Flew to Chicago specifically to try out the deep dish. While they are a chain, they do it better than the rest and the size of the pizzas are better without losing out on the quality of what you're getting. While it does take 45 minutes to get a deep dish, it is certainly worth the wait. My only wish was there were more toppings in the pizza. Overall, best pizza I have had. If you're visiting, give it a try, but be sure to come early because it gets busy! read more
