    Extra surcharge surprise

Be aware of the "service charge" of 3.25%. I paid cash and asked about the extra charge. The guy said something about it being for their cash register system. It didn't make any sense to me why there should be an extra charge for me to pay.

I don't know if i went to the right location or if i even ordered it the right way, but what i will…read moresay is... the chicken is good! I definitely should've asked for them to fry it a bit harder than that cuz i like mine a lot crisper, but that was my fault. The wings themselves were seasoned well, juicy and hot. The fries were okay too. The lemonade was too damn sweet lol. But that's to be expected really lol. I wanted something sweet to end the meal so i got a lemon cake. It wasn't the best cake but it wasn't bad. I'd skip that to be honest. I also didn't need the 5 wings combo cuz that's a lot of wings lol. You can do the 3 wing combo and still be okay. The staff here were nice. They didn't rush you and were helpful when asked. The ambiance was cool. In the downtown neighborhood so it wasn't bad. All in all I'd want to try it again. They had other sides as well and chicken tenders. They also had sandwiches and other juices. Check them out if you're there. Pics below

Place is relatively small but we got a booth and ordered a 1/4 dark which included a thigh and a drumstick, 1/4 white which included a breast and a wing.

bb.q Chicken in Chinatown has become one of my favorite go-to spots whenever I need a quick lunch…read moreduring my break. I usually place my order online ahead of time and simply stop by to pick it up. The online ordering process is super easy, and I love that they send text updates so I know exactly when my food is ready. One of the best perks is their rewards program, so you can earn points every time you order. My go-to meal is the Spicy Galbi Boneless with a side of rice. I also always get a side of ranch, although that's the one thing you currently have to order in person when you pick up your food since it isn't available as an online option. Parking is also convenient because there's a free parking lot on the side of the building. It can fill up during busier times since there are several other restaurants in the plaza, but I've usually been able to find a spot. If you don't order online, you can place your order at the front register or use one of the self-service kiosks inside. The restaurant has plenty of seating, making it a nice place to dine in, and there's also a restroom located toward the back. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit a pleasant experience.

When I asked where my food was, the girl behind the counter rolls her eyes and tells me "it'll come out when it's out." I would have left if it wasn't $20 for that and a diet coke. When I did get my food, it was amazing. The Edgewater location is much better, if you are craving bb.q's chicken, go to the edgewater store: skip the chinatown location.

Visiting bobijoa was such a good pick - I ordered the Gogi burger and a bottle of rice wine. The burger darn near melted in your mouth. The textures from the slaw and sauce were perfection on its own. The fries were home cut and not store bought so I loved that. I do wish they'd put sea salt or a homemade seasoning on the fry to up it a bit. Otherwise no complaints. The prices are affordable and the atmosphere is calm and chill. You can go with a friend or bring a book to read. Either way you're in for a treat.

They have pictures on their menu which I also enjoy. I've had the chicken wings (sweet n spicy), their kimchi fries, their bibimbop, bulgogi bap (favorite!!!), burger, kimchi fried rice (fav), japchae noodles, Soondooboo (another big fav), and Yukejang (favorite soup in the winter time, the beef is so soft) their Seafood Pajeon is also delicious- recommend eating there though cause its crispy, along with the fries and chicken wings. And lastly the Hotteoks are a nice sweet n savory dessert. Favorite place in the neighborhood.
