[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place was amazing! It's very small and cozy, which gives it a really homey vibe, though it can feel a little cramped when it's full.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We even got to meet Giorgio, who was very kind and welcoming. The bread was delicious (I just wish it had been a little warmer). For appetizers, we ordered the Caprese salad, which was really fresh and tasty. For my main dish, I got the lobster ravioli from the specials menu, and it was absolutely worth it and I highly recommend it! One thing to note is that the food leans a little on the salty side, but overall everything was really flavorful and very filling. I wish I had more room in my stomach to keep eating. Since it was my friend's birthday, we celebrated with desserts: cannoli and tiramisu cake, which were so delicious. Overall, I definitely recommend coming here!

Great little neighborhood bistro that requires reservations. It's BYOB and you can bring beer or wine which was perfect for us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is small and very cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was friendly. Food was great. Very small menu but everything was delicious. Would recommend.

Giorgio on Pine might be my favorite Italian restaurant in Philly. Given that the city is FILLED with local authentic Italian spots, this is a huge title to carry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is small and intimate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is knowledge, friendly and patient, even when turning out tables. They have a large menu of pasta and poultry dishes, but the magic is in their rotating specials. If you have an opportunity to try the sweet potato gnocchi, take it. We got an order for the table! It's BYOB, and they provide glasses and ice buckets. Everything from the complimentary bread and garlic oil, to the pasta dishes and the desserts a truly perfect. This is a great spot to bring someone from out of town to show them what a great food scene Philly has.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Giorgio on pine is a very quaint and quintessential Philly Italian restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the linguine and clams, which was not particularly flavorful or memorable. The tiramisu was very delicious though! Service was not super friendly or quick. Overall a good experience but there are better Italian spots out there!

Gnocchi & Parmesan Cheese Crusted Chicken Breast

This might be the best italian food I've ever had! It was truly incredible! They started by bringing us complimentary bread and a garlic olive oil to eat with it? The bread had the perfect buttery flavor. Next, we ordered the Grilled Caesar Salad and it was also delicious. It did come warm which was interesting for a salad but makes sense considering it was grilled. I was not expecting it to be wedge style, but no complaints. For the main course, I ordered the Gnocchi and added chicken and LOVED it! I still can't stop thinking about their tomato basil sauce. My mom ordered the Parmesan Cheese Crusted Chicken Breast and liked it, but said my dish was far better. The restaurant seemed like a local, hole-in-the-wall, if you know you know, type spot. As a tourist, I never would have found it on my own without a local friend's recommendation. They got busy for the dinner rush but accommodated us without a recommendation, which was greatly appreciated! They had great service, from being seated to being served. Something that I thought was unique about the restaurant was that it is BYOB. Many people brought in their own beer/wine, which I thought was cool as many restaurants tend to charge a lot for alcohol.

Great Italian BYOB spot! I had the lobster ravioli which was delicious and came with nice and crisp, not overcooked, vegetables like grape tomatoes and asparagus. The bolognese and veal special were good too. I was also quite tempted by the linguine with clams so that will be for another day! We also really liked the olive oil with garlic and herbs they brought out with the bread at the beginning. Didn't have room for dessert but the tiramisu the table next to us ordered looked fantastic. The ambiance is casual and tables are packed a little tight but not too uncomfortably so. It is quite loud though so it did take a bit of shouting to hear each other even across the table. Definitely make a reservation if you're going on a busy weekend. There's also now a Giorgio on Pine II that's a few steps down the block!

My friend and I decided to check out this Italian BYOB spot since it seemed popular, but I left the meal wanting more. We came here with a dinner reservation, and upon arrival it was quite busy inside, so would rec reserving vs. walk-ins. On the bright side though, there's also another Giorgio on Pine II that's down the block, if this one is busy. Inside, the ambiance is casual, loud, and cozy - the tables are packed a bit tight. It took us some time to place our order and the food also took a while to come out, but the place was also bustling so it's understandable. The food is where I was disappointed - I wanted more flavor. For appetizer, we ordered the sauteed calamari, which was surprisingly bland. We had to add in black pepper just to get some kind of seasoning. Then we ordered the clam linguine, only for it to be extra salty. We ended with their special, which was a parmesan crusted pork chop in tomato sauce, served with potatoes and spinach, which saved the meal a bit. The pork was tender, and the portion size was generous. Overall, maybe I should've ordered their gnocchi or ravioli, which I later found out that's what they're more known for, but based on these three dishes, I was left wanting more.

No one does it like Giorgio! I've been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years and it never disappoints. Was here last week for a get together with some friends. Coming to Giorgio feels like coming home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is upscale without feeling stuffy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is always warm and clings to your soul. You are welcomed with complementary bread served alongside their otherworldly garlic confit. I wish I could steal huge tubes of this! Tons of great vegetarian options on their menu too. Servers are fantastic. Can't wait to be back!

Always an awesome experience. This restaurant is small so it's not the BEST for big groups but you can make it work. Many times I've been here, the service has been great. The food comes out fast and the servers are always very nice. The food is constantly good as well. I never had a bad meal at this place. They have tons of gluten free options with the items labeled on the menu so it's good place to visit for those who have gluten allergy.

You can't go wrong anytime you choose Giorgio on Pine! For authentic, generously portioned, flavorful dishes and the option to bring your own bottles of wine, Giorgio offers a perfect dining experience for date nights or celebrations with friends! I would recommend calling to confirm your reservation, as they have only recently switched to an online system. We always look forward to coming back!

Intimate Italian restaurant not far from the Kimmel Center. We came her for dinner before our show. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating area is rather congested and you will be twelve inches from the table next to you. But, this just adds to the charm[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. This is an old fashion Italian place where you still have to call to make a reservation and your name is placed in a book. The food was excellent and our server was very attentive. We were offered complimentary wine which was very nice. I would recommend if in the area. Reservations are an absolute must.

Going to start this off with clearing up that we were in Giorgio on Pine II (which is right next door, owned by the same man, and has either a similar or identical menu!) I took my partner here for their birthday since they LOVE the main restaurant, but I honestly prefer the atmosphere of Giorgio on Pine II and they've never been. It's much smaller than the main restaurant, and has a more intimate feel. The server, Giovanni, is a sweetheart and took amazing care of us! The food here is truly out of this world. You get some garlic confit and bread to start, but we also ordered the burrata salad (a special menu item, so if you wanna try get there ASAP!) which was so fresh and delicious. We both got spaghetti dishes, mine had veggies in a vodka sauce. They got pancetta and marinara. The serving sizes are huge! Neither of us finished our dishes, but we were also making sure to leave room for dessert. For dessert we split the best tiramisu I've ever had and a cappuccino. And in true italian fashion we enjoyed our meal over the course of two and a half hours. We did not feel rushed at all, we enjoyed our wine and talked all evening in the beautiful restaurant. Smelling the dishes cooked in the open kitchen and enjoying our night out together. If you have a special occasion or looking for an elevated date night this is the spot to do it. They are also BYOB!

Reservations are a good idea since it can get busy. To start, we shared a fresh goat cheese salad along with the following entrees , including short rib over polenta, mushroom pasta, grape leaves, and an octopus salad. For dessert, we had the salted caramel boudino, which was a perfect way to end the meal--rich, smooth, and not overly sweet. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience with great food and a warm atmosphere. I'd happily come back and would recommend Barduzzo to anyone looking for a great meal in Philadelphia.

The short rib over polenta was probably my favorite thing on the table - it fell apart easily and the polenta underneath wasn't as heavy as I expected it to be. We got the salted caramel budino for dessert too, and I was glad it wasn't one of those desserts that's so sweet you can only handle two bites. Would go back honestly. Probably order something different next time just to try more of the menu, but I'm getting that ricotta again no matter what.

While I might choose another place for takeout, when the goal is a night of pizza, wine, great atmosphere, and authentic neighborhood vibes, this is usually where we end up. The space is bright, industrial, airy, and thoughtfully designed but unforced. White walls, warm wood, considered lighting, and a floor plan with real breathing room. The vibe recalls Bucktown, Wicker Park, Williamsburg, and Greenpoint: design-forward but genuinely local. There's a great bar, and booths near the kitchen with glass windows that let you watch the staff. Our three-year-old was mesmerized, and the staff was warm and playful, smiling and waving while they cooked. A small detail, but memorable. The crowd feels local. Good music, friendly people, hip but never pretentious. It's just a fun place to be with great service, too. The food is outstanding. We usually order the chicories caesar with grana padano and breadcrumbs, and the lettuce salad with shaved vegetables and creamy oregano dressing. For pizza, we love the arrabbiata (the Angry pie) and tomato pie with sausage and pickled chilies. My wife enjoys the ice cream. A note on bringing kids: I don't think this is a family restaurant, but if your kids are curious and well-behaved, it's absolutely worth bringing them earlier in the evening. We've gone around 4:30 or 5:00 on weekends and always felt comfortable. One time, our daughter had a full meltdown, and we were mortified, but the staff couldn't have been cooler. They packed everything to go, kindly and without any judgment. That kind of grace is hard to fake, and it genuinely stuck with us. Pricing is fair for the quality of the food and the experience. Places like this can seem overrated or overpriced, but this one doesn't. It offers real value for a memorable night out. The whole restaurant feels like a microcosm of Philadelphia's progressive, creative side. There's real ambition behind it, but it still feels human and grounded, nothing sterile, nothing corporate, nothing over-engineered. Just smart people building a cool neighborhood place that others actually want to spend time in. Oh, and make a reservation. Great spot, Joe. We'll be back soon. Thank you!

The hostess took our coats (a nice touch!) and then a rotation of two servers explained the specials and we ordered. I love that the menu is on the shorter side and they rotate the pizza offerings, so even if you're visiting on a regular basis, you'll always be able to try something new. Additionally, when a menu is only about 2 pages, you know everything on those two pages is top notch, as was the case at Pizzeria Beddia. This evening we got the meatballs (didn't take a photo, was too excited, but they were HUGE and excellent) and the beef, pork and veal balls with a rich red sauce was outstanding. Came in an order of 2 but one was plenty for each of us. The Pizza we got had potatoes on it, and we added sausage per the servers recommendation, and it was cooked perfectly and all of the flavors blended so well together. We are so lucky to have an amazing (and nationally recognized!) pizza spot in the neighborhood and it's always nice when you can walk in without a reservation from time to time.

EXCELLENT LATE-NIGHT STOP! MUST TRY!…read more We walked in about an hour before closing on a Thursday night--never an ideal entrance. You know the look. The polite smile that says "it's fine" while the eyes say "it is absolutely not." Totally understandable. No one loves a near-close order. I even acknowledged it out loud--apologized, explained we weren't from the area, and that we were just trying to grab a quick bite because it was one of the few places still open. She said it was okay. Her face said otherwise. Fair enough. Here's where it turned around. The pizza came out hot, fresh, and legitimately impressive. Not "good for late night" good--just plain good. Every bite was fresh, the ingredients tasted clean, and the pizza clearly hadn't been rushed or phoned in despite the timing. Hunger probably helped, but even factoring that out, this was a standout. Honestly, I was kicking myself for not ordering an extra one to go before leaving the city. That's how good it was. We did try to get drinks, but were told the soda machine was down. The nozzles were off, so I'm guessing it was a cleaning/end-of-night thing. I won't ding them for it--though let's be real, tossing nozzles in sanitizer isn't exactly a marathon. Still, not a deal-breaker. Restaurant was clean, but of course, they were near closing. I tipped her a few bucks for staying late, and left genuinely satisfied. Bottom line: the food carried this experience completely. If you're visiting Philadelphia and need a reliable, fresh, late-night bite, &Pizza is absolutely worth the stop. Sometimes the places you expect the least end up delivering the most. I plan to 100000% return (and it'll probably be near closing time again, too)
