My family and I stopped at your restaurant on our way home to Lompoc because the menu and website photos looked great. We ordered the chicken picatta and sole picatta to-go, tipped despite not dining in, and drove 20 miles home. When we opened the boxes, both orders were incorrect. According to the board menu, the sole picatta comes with arugula, beets, pistachios, and potatoes (no capers), and the chicken picatta comes with capers, spinach, and potatoes. Instead, both dishes came with pasta and none of the listed sides. More concerning, the sole had capers--even though we specifically asked when ordering because my partner is allergic and were told it does not include them. Meanwhile, the chicken picatta, which should have had capers, had none. Portions were also quite small for the $22 price point. We tried calling the restaurant eight times with no answer. After contacting the liquor store it's located inside, we were told to call back in five minutes. When we did, the call wouldn't even go through. Since we couldn't reach anyone, we drove the 20 miles back to Buellton to request a refund. When I showed the chef the incorrect dishes, he insisted the picatta dishes come with pasta and produced a small, crumpled paper menu from under the counter showing that version. We were never given this menu and ordered solely from the board displayed above. There was no apology and no offer to remake the meals, only a refund when I requested it. The employee who originally helped us acknowledged they "haven't gotten around" to updating the board menu. Other reviews mention similar issues with discrepancies between the board and the paper menu, which suggests this is an ongoing problem. Thankfully, we received a refund and our tip back, but we drove a total of 60 miles and ended up without dinner, eventually eating at Blaze Pizza at 9:45pm after ordering from you at 6:15pm. Despite this disappointing experience, we would be willing to give your restaurant another try if complimentary meal vouchers could be offered. We understand that busy periods can lead to mistakes, but the lack of accountability and apology was the most frustrating part. Acknowledging errors and making things right builds trust. We went in and ordered at 2:30 and were told we couldn't eat at a table, even though we live an hour and 15 mins away, because they close at 3....righhhht. After having a good experience at this restaurant (pizza & risotto) recently, I went there again on 7/13/26 and ordered a pizza to go. Big mistake! Unlike the 1st time (ample cheese & meat), this time the pizza had almost no cheese and the meat was barely adequate. What a disappointment. From what I saw, the pizza chef was a different one who apparently knew or cared little about making a good pizza. My advice--avoid this place and go to somewhere more reliable & consistent, such as Los Olivos Cafe or Gino's. But if you go to this place anyway, maybe stick with the pasta and forget the pizza. read more

What the.... Just when I've seen it all, pop ups, food trucks, hidden restaurants inside other restaurants. No offense to the owners, but it is what it is, a tin can exterior where you expect see someone walking out with a 20 oz beer can in a paper bag at 9:30 am. Chances are if you bring your date here for an Italian dinner she is calling for an Uber before you cross the threshold. But it's actually a great test for any date....will she trust you? Because keep heading to the back and you will find a counter to order at that looks like it's a to go sandwich deli...but it's way more. There is a cute little dinning room to the right kind of inside a doorway. Nicely decorated, and you can tell that anyone going to the trouble of setting this up, is living their dream of bringing top notch food to this small part of the world. On to the food... Polpettone - Meatballs always tell me a lot about an Italian place. These were a nice blend, good texture, and nicely seasoned. The marinara sauce was excellent, so now I know any pasta dish will probably be good here too. Excellent fresh bread that I used to scoop up all of the sauce and ricotta cheese. 5 stars Italianissimo - Genoa salami & spicy Calabrian Salami, along with provolone, arugula, tomato, red onion, and garlic aioli. The Arugula was lightly tossed in dressing first so there were no dry bitter pieces on the sandwich. The bread was fresh and tasty. Great Italian sandwich that I highly recommend. And I've eaten some great Italian sandwiches. 5 stars Sausage Pizza - comes with caramelized shallots. Again attention to detail of caramelizing them first, delicious. I had them add mushrooms to the pie as well. Is there a better pizza in Buellton/ Solvang? I doubt it. Crust is top notch, sauce, cheese, sausage? Loved every ingredient. And that's the key of a great pizza. Does each ingredient pass the taste test. It's clear that's the commitment here. 5 stars. I'm definitely coming back every time, I'm in town or maybe even near town. This is a hidden gem tucked inside a liquor/convenience store. I got the Italianissimo sandwich and it was very well packed and flavorful, although a bit rich from the meat. I will be raving about this food for a long time. The garlic bread was cheesy and covered in parsley, the meat lover pizza had delicious meat and was just the right amount of burnt (in a good way), and the spaghetti carbonara was exactly what I was in the mood for - the star of the night and perfectly flavored. We were staying at the Pea Soup Anderson Inn and they let us know of some partnered restaurants at check in. We came in at around 5pm on a Friday for dine in and there was only one other couple there. The seating area was pretty small -- after our dinner it was clear it's focused more on takeout/is more of a takeout restaurant than a sit down one. You order at the front where they also give you a water carafe and go to the dining area. You get your own plates and cups, and they bring the food out to you. We got the artichoke pizza and short rib tortellini. Both were amazing. The crust on the artichoke pizza was perfect and we dipped it in the sauce of the short rib tortellini, which I recommend. The tortellini itself was SO good, I'd definitely come back just for that. For dessert we got the torta de la nonna, which also didn't disappoint one bit. We ordered dessert separate from our dinner and had to wait about 10 minutes at the counter just to order since they were busy fulfilling takeout orders. The food here is absolutely fantastic! The location is inside a liquor store which is non-traditional but doesn't change the fact that the food is SO good. We have been many times and would always give it 5 stars, but the last two days we have had a couple of disappointing experiences. Their website says they are open for dinner Mon-Sat. From 4-8pm. We were staying in Solvang and drove over excited to once again enjoy the place. We showed up on Monday, and there was no signage to show they were closed for the day nor anything posted on their site, but the guy at the cash register said they must be closed. So we decided to wait around in town later than planned the next day at 11:00am when they serve lunch. We came at 11:00am, and they said they wouldn't open until 11:30am which was once again frustrating since their website says 11:00am. We came back in at 11:20am when they were ready to take our order and someone else was already seated with a pizza! Why were we told 11:30am when that clearly isn't the hours. So we do love this place's food, but our experience this time with lack of communication and website vs. posted reality was a letdown. Hopefully it's not a pattern. read more

The restaurant was a little hard to find because it is located in the back of Parkway Market. Don't let that keep you from trying it...there is a dining room and we decided to eat here. One night on Yelp, I was looking for different takeout options in the Buellton area. That's how I ended up stumbling across Giorgio's! Being a local, I immediately knew I had to give it a try. Upon arriving, you wouldn't immediately guess there's an Italian restaurant, since it's inside of a liquor store. But if you walk in and straight forward, you arrive! My boyfriend and I both agreed on trying a pasta each. We opted for the Spinach Ricotta Ravioli as well as the Spicy Shrimp Rigatoni. Last minute, we also decided to get the garlic bread. When I had told my mom where my boyfriend and I were going, she asked me to bring back an order of Polpettone, which we did. My boyfriend and I had originally intended on eating the food in the restaurant but at the time there were being repairs made in the dining room so we took everything to go! One thing we were pleased with was the portion sizes. We thought the garlic bread was pleasantly big and the pasta dishes were the perfect amount. We dug in right away and loved everything! Spicy shrimp rigatoni (5/5): This was SO GOOD. The tomato sauce was the perfect amount of creamy and spicy. The portion didn't look like much but it actually was. The container was heavy. They actually gave a lot of shrimp too. Short rib tortelloni (4/5): This had a tomato cream sauce as well but I liked the spicy version better. The stuffed pasta was a nice size but I wasn't expecting only a few. Great food at a reasonable price is always a win. Secret local spot! I found it, thanks to yelp. I couldn't tell from pics but it's located in the same building as a liquor store which is front facing. As you walk in you see a deli counter and the sit down area is in the back.
