Chipotle Avocado Chicken Sandwich
Claudia C.

Great spot for lunch with parking available. The menu offers local ingredients and seasonal options to enjoy. I had the chicken sandwich and my friend ordered their burger with some customization. They were very kind and accommodating.

Flatiron steak

Dynamite food. Small but cozy place. Flatiron steak w chimichurri and roasted broccoli. Substituted roasted sweet potato cubes for mashed potatoes, no problem. Perfectly grilled tender meat. Tritip sandwich also very tender. Highly recommend if near Buellton. Great service.

AR Burger with French Fries (ordered to go, aioli on the side)

I've been excited to try this spot and finally ordered food for takeout recently after a late work day. Their menu isn't huge but I can appreciate that because it shows they are preparing their foods well and know what they're doing versus trying to master a huge selection. The AR Burger is so good. We opted for French fries, but they aren't what we were expecting- they're cubed and fried pieces of potato. I needed a fork to eat them. The poke nachos are incredible. Huge fan. Love the pairing of the wonton chips. So good. We will definitely be back. It was super easy to place an order ahead for pick up and their prices are super comparable to other spots in the area for dinner.

I'm not sure what magic they're working in Buellton, but the AR Restaurant and Catering off Highway 246 is an absolute gem. Our first visit we indulged in their exquisite croquettes and divine poke nachos. The croquettes were a crispy, golden delight, but it was the poke nachos that truly stole the show. Imagine delicate wonton chips, perfectly crispy and light, topped with fresh, succulent poke. The whole dish was drizzled with a creamy aioli dressing that was an explosion of flavors, reminiscent of the finest poke bowl dressing. Every bite was a taste sensation, a harmonious blend of textures and flavors that left us utterly enchanted. We also had the salmon tacos which were bursting with flavor and were cooked to perfection. Our second visit in person we were able to meet Alex himself and it was a pleasure. This visit we ordered the chipotle wings, garlic shrimp, lentil soup and of course the poke nachos. It was all so delicious. We will be coming back again and again.

Omg chocolate cake and ice cream

Food and service spectacular. The chicken wings are to die for. Everything here was delicious and the people were warm and friendly. Super epic!

Nothing left to take home!

Empty plates! We love this gem of a restaurant and took some friends for dinner. The menu is creative, fresh, delicious, and doesn't disappoint!

Ok So while they learn all those fancy wine tasting terms I'll get myself some breakfast. I stopped to asked a tow truck driver where's the best place for breakfast in town? First thing he said Mother Hubbards. That was good enough for me have some breakfast and a parking lot nap. Mothers looks across at the old Split Pea Andersons relic building Thats another story. Mothers place has been here awhile, 30 plus years its got that look, signage thats faded and to the point. Classic mom & pop, Tired, well worn, and very friendly, with great home cooked meals. The love is here, hard work, and long hours. Its shows too, done when you actually had to make and prepare meals to be cooked when ordered. Riley was "the" worker, her energy shows brightly. Big smile, and good knowledge of the menu and the neighborhood. (She deserves a raise). She covered my questions... whats the most popular item ordered? She replied sweet or savory...good answer. How bout for breakfast not sweet? Oh you'll want to try the "Mess" its a scramble...Ok and let me try the biscuits with a bit of gravy. It was minutes and breakfast arrived, the gravy was last to show and as soon as I looked at it I knew it was made in the kitchen. Not from a dry mix, or frozen starter and certainly not from a can. It was too thin in consistency to be anything but made here. Delicious all of it, no kidding A five star Diner because they did it all, correctly. thank you Foodguy-Martin

I know Napa Valley is like THE Mecca of Wineries, at least in California, & going there once before, I kinda understand, kinda. But is it really that much better? In my humble opinion.. Ehh. It was whatever Sure, I'm down dropping a nice crispy Benjamin to get that aged, vintage 2013 Cab.. But will I really care, or even notice once that bottle is depleted & I'm now ordering the 2nd least expensive Chenin Blanc on the menu just to wash away all my worries. (Suddenly, Every wine snob, wine aficionado & novice sommelier enters the chat) But, But Lance, it's Napa, How dare you speak against this Holy Land of all Superior Wine. And to that I say, I get it. I truly understand that not all wine is created equally, but also that not all of us have the BIG BUCKS to continuously drop $100 big ones on that prized Napa Cab. Hey, call me crazy, but to me, it's not just ALL about the wine that is produced, but more about the overall experience. It's the vibe. It's the way you are treated. & it's definitely about how they made you feel. Anyone else getting Maya Angelou vibes?? IYKYK ;) **All Wine Snobs have left the Chat** *Vega Vineyard and Farm has entered the chat* Alright team Vega, sit back, kick your feet up, & just listen while I brag a little about you. It was a BEAUTIFUL November afternoon just 4 days prior to Thanksgiving. We were heading back south from Paso Robles & decided to make a little pit stop before getting all the way back home. So my wife looked up wineries in the area that were kid friendly & Vega was at the top of the list. Walking in, we noticed that they had a little restaurant right at the entrance, so we went to put our name down for a table. Unfortunately, the wait time was a little longer than we wanted to wait, only because we had the kids with us, but the hostess suggested if we didn't want to wait, that they had more food on the other end of the farm in "Pops Place". Other than the wine itself, eating the food in "Pops Place" was probably the best move we could have unintentionally made that day. (I'll explain in a bit) So we slowly made our way towards the other side of the farm/vineyard & all I can say is, what a gorgeous property it was. The farm life, the outdoors, the weather, & I was with my Fam. It couldn't have been a better day! Once we got to Pops Place, it was like we entered into a whole new world. A huge area for kids with a jungle gym, stations for outdoor games & activities, benches to sit, even private cabanas you can reserve (not sure if there is a cost) & of course a little shack to order food and wine! So remember earlier when I said eating in Pops Place was probably the best move we could have made that day, Well here are 3 reasons why! 1) We ordered the George's Greek Gyro Pita w/fries (a beef gyro with lettuce, tomato, onions & tzatziki wrapped in a pita) and.. OH. MY. GAWDDD It was so flippin' GOOD! It was so good, that I didn't even have time to snap a pic, let alone set it down after taking that 1st bite. It was complete perfection! 2) Chicken Strips & Fries from the kids menu w/a side of ranch.. Let's just say, The kids loved 'em. 3) We washed it all down w/a beautiful, crisp, perfect for a fall day, 2024 bottle of their finest ALBARIÑO. & it was, EXCELLENT!! After we sat & ate, let the kids get out all of their energy, the fun at Vega continued. From there, we headed to feed the livestock on the property (lettuce sold onsite for a few bucks). There were Chickens, Goats, Pigs, Emu's & Sheep, and the kids and myself had a blast feeding 'em. After that, we stopped off at one of their gift shops to browse all of the fun stuff. Of course, we got the kids their requested candy! The staff we interacted with while at Vega were all so kind, welcoming & made us feel apart of the extended Vega family. Because of this, we will definitely be coming back next time we pass through. So, & this is where YOU come in! The next time you are passing through Buellton, do yourself, your spouse and your kids, if you've got them, a HUGE favor: Come check out Vega Vineyard & Farm and tell me that I was right!

They let us sit inside the restaurant and a little hidden from everyone else which was perfect because my small dog could be barking every chance she got. Now before I visited, I saw the overall rating on Yelp isn't that great, but I assume it could be something totally unrelated to the flavor of the food itself because the pictures look great to me. And I'm Asian so I know what a good asian food looks like. Well I can tell you, everything we ordered were delicious, no notes! We got the lumpia, calamari, and fried rice. The fried rice is noted as market price so we didn't know how much it would be. I asked what comes with it and it didn't come with steak or prawns so I assumed it would be okayish. Well the fried rice was delicious and big portions with some sausages and fried egg, but holy moly it was the priciest fried rice! Haha $40. It's okay tho, still glad we tried it. The lumpia was yummy, a little on the salty side but very enjoyable. Now the calamari was the winner to me! I think it might be the best calamari I've had. Not only cos the calamari itself was good, not chewy, and crispy on the outside; but also everything else that came with it to cut the richness! I think it's some pickled onions, might be some kimchi too. Just try it! I would love to try the fried chicken also but they're sold out. Next time call them first to make sure they spare you some!
