For soft drinks, they have Coke products. It does not say specifically on their menu. Inside has a lot of room for customers and the ability to combine tables. Outside was nice as well, with umbrellas for shade and more room. Food and drinks came out fast. The cups were a bit smaller than normal. The food was delicious. What really disappointed us was an interaction with one staff member regarding seating. We understand the policy about not saving tables, and normally that would be completely fine. However, we were next in line to order, there were still plenty of open tables at the time, and we were with 5 kids, a baby, and a senior citizen grandmother. While the parents were ordering, our grandma sat down with the children thinking it would be okay since we had already waited so long and were about to order. Unfortunately, a staff member came over yelling at us and aggressively shooing us away from the table. The way she spoke to our grandmother felt extremely rude and unnecessary. A little kindness and consideration would have gone a long way, especially with children and elderly family members involved. I don't want to make assumptions or turn this into a bigger issue, but the interaction left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Brekkies was hands down the best food my family and I had while on our mini vacation in Solvang! We arrived around 8:30am on a Saturday to a small line, but it moved fairly quickly. You order at the counter and then they have you sit at a table - they do not allow you to sit before ordering which I liked. It allows for the kitchen and staff to stay on top of orders and to help everything run smoothly - plus it cuts down on allowing people to save tables. The inside has a decent amount of seating, I believe there might have been an additional room as well, plus outdoor seating. Staff were very friendly and personable! This casual yet colorful cafe is located on the the mission drive, just before some other famous eateries. It is walking distance from a couple of parking lots, and is not very far away. On a nice sunny day, the colorful vibes of the restaurant were a delight. The restaurant has an order station inside, where you can place the order. Order is then brought to your table. The staff was very sweet and helpful, and often stopped by to check in if we needed anything else. They were super warm, and cheerful which made the experience all the more pleasant. We ordered the crab cake benedict, and the spicy & hot omlette. The crab cake benedict was delicious, the crab cake however, was slightly thin and light on meat, but that was probably the only negative. The spicy & hot omlette did every bit justice to its name, with the spicy ranchero sauce providing a nice heat. Both the orders came with a side of tater tots which was probably I couldnt give 5 stars, would have liked the option to chose a side other than the tots. I had the protein breakfast, which was a little heavy on the sausage for me personally, but it was still very good. They have both indoor and outdoor dining so that you may enjoy the weather when it is nice outside. The service was friendly and attentive. It is the type of restaurant where you stand in line order your food and then they bring it to your table. Even after sitting the waiters were checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. I told them I have a dairy and egg allergy. I ordered the veggie scramble bowl ($15.50), and requested for it to be cooked in oil instead of butter. This bowl contains Hungry Planet plant based chorizo, black beans, corn, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, onions , green onions, and avocado . If you want to make it vegetarian, you can add egg in it for $2.75. This dish is also gluten free. The cashier told me that the hashbrowns were cooked in a separate fryer than anything else so I was able to order that without the risk of contamination. My also had the Monte cristo (brioche bread with Swiss cheese, ham, turkey, and eggs for $16.50), breakfast croissant (fried egg, sausage patty, bacon for $15.50), corned beef hash (corned beef, potatoes, onions, pepper, eggs, toast for $16.50), danish pancakes (crepe like pancakes for $12.95). All came with tator tots. I liked that the veggie scramble bowl was colorful, but was very bland. Was not impressed by it. It needed some sazon. This dish shouldn't be that expensive either since it's literally a bowl of veggies. My family thought that their food was okay.
