    Light cheese?
    Jon C.

heard great things about this place Looked good However the pizza was bland ordered light cheese but came with 10 lbs of cheese and no sauce lol -ordered another one and similar results- save your carbs for good pizza unfortunately- this ain't it If you are in the area village Italian or pies on post blows this away Good luck

Giovanni's Pizza is a good pizza spot for lunch or dinner. There are several sports parks nearby so I'd imagine it gets busy after a game day and they have a fun, little arcade center for kids. We came for a midday lunch because my dad loves the calzones here. He had a sausage, pepperoni and cheese calzone and it was massive and very flavorful and cheesy! I had the 2 slices of pizza lunch special and it was drowning in grease and oil--hence the star deduction. I had to blot the pizza with five napkins to make it edible for myself. However, once the grease was overcome the pizza was delicious with good quality ingredients.

Within a strip mall, there's parking readily available. It's fast casual, meaning you'll order at the counter and then take a number where your food is quickly delivered to your table. They have breakfast until 10:30 AM, then there's a 30 min transition to lunch which starts at 11. I arrived at noon- the place is busy, they have so many options for meals that it was difficult to choose. I went with an Italian sub and a Diet Coke, I figured how can you go wrong with their number one item on the menu? Delicious, and with the banana peppers it made for a great sandwich! Service is so wonderful. And they have a bakery and bar in house....dangerous all around! Family friendly and for me, having a casual lunch meeting was no problem! Support small owned businesses!

After learning this information she quickly ran me through some of her favorite options, and answered all questions(knowledgeably I might add) I had myself about the menu. I chose the Marshal as well as a slice of the Heat of the Week. Because....why not. And by the way, the Marshall is not shown. My belly would not allow me to reach for my camera after first visualization. The pizza was heaven at first bite. Perfect undercarriage while fresh ingredients cooked to perfection on top. Then......the Marshal. Ooooohhhhhh the Marshal. Their version of a hot Italian beef. And what a phenomenal version at that. Wonderful spice and the right about of heat. Tender juicy beef. No regrets. I was introduced to Miss Marie and talk about a blessing on Earth. Talked to me like an old friend of the family. Even checked on me herself after receiving my food to go. Can not wait to go back!! 10 outta 10!

Gray in the bar set the tone right away with a great round of drinks and friendly service. Once we were seated, Kevin took over as our server and absolutely delivered. Personable, knowledgeable, and attentive without ever hovering -- he made the night easy for all of us. Our guests came in from Vinings and Brookhaven and were blown away by the quality of the food and the ambiance. We started with the house‑special tartare, warm homemade rolls, incredible crab cakes, salads, and octopus -- every dish was fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The entrées were just as impressive. Our table had ribeyes, filets, pork chops, and scallops, and every plate was cooked perfectly. The sides were standouts too, especially the roasted carrots and the homemade gnocchi -- absolutely phenomenal. Dessert was a hit across the board, and the evening was topped off with a visit from Peril, which is always a pleasure and a great personal touch. I've lived in Cumming since 2021 but never thought there would be a steakhouse there like this one! We were able to get a table for the 8 of us on the morning of, and was very excited since it was only a 7 mile drive from Windermere. Parking is a breeze, it's on the side of a strip mall on the corner of Meadow and Atlanta Hwy. It's beautiful inside. Lights were dimmed but not so much you can't see the menu or your fellow diners. Christopher was our server and he was really helpful, thorough, pleasant and absolutely friendly. My brother basically took stock of the menu and I ordered a cocktail to start. A big bottle of wine, and we were off! First off, the rolls made in house were so spectacular that I almost asked for more, even though I knew we were in for a great meal. Sea salt on top, hefty without being dense, with or without butter just delightful. Apps: both the GA and the Wedge salad to share, along with the grilled octopus and mussels. My nieces are 7 and 13, my nephew is 11 and they basically ate every last bit of the mussels. Back when I was 11 all I wanted was pizza and burgers. All of the apps were so flavorful- the mussel broth had garlic and nduja which gave it a nice kick. My regret was that I didn't take pics of these. Apologies! Entrees: most of the table got steak, whether it was filet, the American Wagyu, the ribeye. My brother ordered the chicken, I ordered the lobster bucatini and two scallops on the side. My niece had the gnocchi side as her entree. Sides: gnocchi with shittaki mushrooms, duck fat fried potatoes, grits, and asparagus. The gnocchi is a MUST, but the grits and others were close behind. For dessert: chocolate soufflé, bread pudding made in house with ice cream, a cappuccino creme brûlée, and for their birthdays a small individual passion fruit panna cotta for my parents. What a beautiful touch. I would put this place in with all the known steakhouses, service was unmatched, food was excellent and we didn't have to drive 35 miles to Buckhead or Midtown. Hats off to the team here, from the hostess who checked in on us, our server Christopher, to the team in the kitchen. I walked by the bar to use the restroom and it had no empty seats. This would be a place I'd feel comfortable coming alone to treat myself. Support small businesses!

Shelby was our waitress, she was awesome from start to finish. It was late in the evening, 8:30 and was very slow and very empty. In the room next to ours was a mom, her friend and her very cute baby. Ordered toasted raviolis which were fantastic. I spotted the manager, Ryan, went over to him and notified him that the boyfriend's birthday was coming up... can we do an ice cream for him? He said get me his drivers license. I said never mind, we wanted to surprise him. Not a big deal. Just was put off at his attitude and that he wanted to card and id someone for a few dollar bowl of ice cream. Not very good people skills. Meals were ordered, food delivered. Shelby was right on top of the drinks, salad, bread... At one point our waitress stepped into the next room was held the baby so mom could get a bite to eat. I recall this happening when my daughter young, was always welcoming so we could get a few quick bites down. We witnessed Ryan very rudely telling Shelby to put the baby down, 'if you drop the kid we will get sued' and 'you have customers to take care of'. Folks, we were perfectly fine eating our main course at that time and did not need anything. I did not know my daughter talked to the female manager/hostess about the birthdays. At the end of the Shelby brought out ice cream, one with a candle. Was very sweet. When the bill came Shelby asked for the drivers license to apply the 'discount'.....we saw a ruckus by the ordering computer with you know who....Ryan....she came over and very apologetically stated that she was so sorry but she could not comp the ice cream and that she was told we would, have to come back later in the week on the actual birthday. I can promise one thing for sure, I will NOT be going back to this Provinos as long as Ryan is a manager. We have been a customer since 2005. Ryan is rude, condescending, undermined the manager/hostess, and absolutely cheap. It's not about a couple bucks of ice cream....we spent over $150 on the meals, it's bout how NOT to handle a customer, and certainly not to deal, with your employees in front of customers.

One got a Greek side salad which was huge and looked really good. The house salad was also quite large but not as fancy as the Greek. I had the gyro wrap with fries. Having lived in Chicago I've had my share of gyros. This was tasty, pita bread was crisped up nicely. Could've used a few more pieces of meat but it still was absolutely delicious. The others went with Parmesan, one eggplant and one chicken. Both came piping hot, and had a side of spaghetti with marinara sauce and cheese all over the plate. Everyone was pleased tonight.
