This location has been here many years. It has its ups and downs as to quality. The pizza has been consistently good as are the pretzel bites. I would not recommend the wings. For some reason, the sauces on the wings taste like salad dressing just poured on sub-par Sysco-provided wings (think US Foods or something along the lines of frozen food provided by massive food distributors that provide low quality food). The employees were attentive and on top of everything. The restaurant is a typical Mellow Mushroom with the hippie-type colors. However, their tvs need to be updated. I will likely go again or order from them again for the pizza. read more

A family outing for 6 - ordered a Holy Shiitake, a Pacific Rim - all large classic crust; a Mighty Pepperoni large thin crust - all had fresh ingredients with crusts finished spot on, served immediately out of the oven ! Service was prompt and attentive. The ambiance was causal, laidback, and enjoyable - the servers "mellow". Melliw Mushroom was awesome in every way. Great for families, couples, etc. Armondo was the best server we've had anywhere in a long time. We've never been to this resaurant before and were very impressed for a number of reason. #1 Service was amazingly quick. #2 the food was extremely good, fresh and PLENTIFUL and Armondo was wonderful and had a great personality and even put up with my "slip of the tongue" a few times. I have to say that Mellow Mushroom's pizza has changed considerably. We had three different pizzas. The gluten free pizza was probably one of the worst I have ever had, which I know, is not saying much but my husband and dad had their regular pizza and it was terrible they said. Regular crust look brownish and it was so chewy and doughy and my husband had their thin crust and it was not good either. Have they changed their recipe for their crust? We picked up our pizza and the process was a mess. There were tickets laying all over the counter and people were waiting 30 minutes to pick up their food. 2 girls running back and forth and orders coming out wrong and they were answering the phones and taking orders. I ordered it at 3 pm for a 5:30 pick so it wasn't last minute. I will not be returning. read more

We waited an hour before we were seated and when we went inside to get a drink and wait, there was ample seating and a staff that was not organized. Now, there could be a few situations that could cause this, so I'm not sure if this was normal. I ordered a burger with double cheddar and no bun. The cheese was overcooked to a brown goo and 1/2 was not eatable, and they forgot my salad. It seemed that all the others in the group were 'ok' with the food, so it was not a total bust. I've been coming to this MM location for years now and can't remember one bad experience. You always get friendly service (not always fast), a great ambiance both inside and on their covered patio and really good pizza. My favorite is the Holy Shittake but also enjoy anything with their Italian sauce. I also really enjoy their Greek Salad. I wish they had a deeper beer selection, especially local brews but that's not a big deal. I'll keep coming here because I always have a good time and even better meal. read more

I love mellow mushroom food but the service had gotten so much worst since the old manager and a lot of the old staff left. Tonight we went in and it was not busy and we waited an unusually long time before a waitress showed up and that was after I asked for the manager and she sent a message back that she was too busy to talk to me without even knowing why I wanted to speak so I asked the person who brought the messsage could she find our waitress. We went for dinner today and it took forever to get our pizza. When the pizza got there my husband said taste this and tell me what you think. It was awful! It literally was just dough and cheese. It had absolutely no sauce on it at all. Since we waited forever after our salads we were over the whole experience. When the waitress finally came back and asked if we wanted a box I said it literally had no sauce and we didn't want a box. She just laughed when we said it was made with no sauce and we didn't want a box. She just said I'll bring your check. The service was solid. The hostess was friendly and seated us quickly. The server was energetic and attentive. Pizza and pretzel bites were on par with other visits so no real complaints there. The place is just dirty and dusty. The host stand looks like it hasn't been wiped down in months which makes you wonder what's not clean in the kitchen and overall it's just a dingy, dirty place. I came for lunch with my 9 month old and 3 year old. Our waitress took our order quickly, got us food within 15 minutes despite the dinning room being packed. She was very attentive to my 3 year old, really made him feel special. I told her we needed pizza, water and that I would like two beers during our meal. Service was good, but the outdoor patio is always hot. They don't open enough of the plastic windows to allow proper airflow, and since they have a cheaper system that is not easy to open, you don't want to bug them to climb into chairs to open it. They need to get a better system to make it easy to open it like the one in Suwanee has that rolls up by a cord (aka we can do it ourselves). The new strawberry shakedown cocktail was okay, but for the price & strength, I prefer the Grateful Dead. Pizza is always delicious! I went to Mellow Mushroom with some friends and really enjoyed it! The vibes are super wacky and cool, it felt really cozy. We ordered the Super Pepp pizza which was very delicious! There was a lot of pepperoni and some peppers that paired well. I also enjoyed the hot honey on the top. We also enjoyed the Pretzel Bites to share, they were so good. Mellow Mushroom will forever have a pizza my heart. My and my husband's favorite pizza in the world is hands down Mellow Mushroom's Magical Mystery Tour! It's pesto base with button and portobello mushrooms, feta and mozzarella cheeses, spinach and jalapeños on a pesto basted crust. Don't get me started on the crust. I can't get enough of their spring water dough. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. We first tried the Magical Mystery Tour pizza at this Cumming location about seven years ago, and we've been hooked ever since. It's flavorful and has the right amount of kick. We usually add pepperoni to half of the pie for husband and son. Like most Mellow Mushroom locations, they no longer have the MMT pizza listed on their menu. However, they always make it when I call in, no questions asked. We haven't dined here in a while, but we call in every now and then when the craving for MMT strikes. The staff is always friendly and gives us accurate wait times. Masks are worn and social distancing is encouraged. read more

They have a special beer feature of the month and they give you a special glass to take home. They can be busy but we do get seated very quickly each time. We love Mellow Mushroom and have been frequently for years. This location is terrible. Time and time again, we try again hoping the service will be better to no avail. We consistently wait over 30 minutes for a server once seated, it takes another 45 minutes, at best, to get food. Such disappointing service. It's so slow. We've never made it out in under an hour and half with only ordering cheese pizza, no drinks, no apps. It doesn't matter what day or time of day, it's the slowest service I've ever experienced at a restaurant every single time. When asking about times for food, they always say "any minute." So disappointing for a restaurant that we normally love. read more

This is a really great Mellow Mushroom location! I have been here twice over the past few weeks, and the pizza has been fresh and delicious both times! The wait is usually not very long, and the pizza always comes out piping hot and fresh out of the oven. Their pretzel breadsticks are also really amazing, in a really simple kid of way. After reading the reviews, I brought my wife here for dinner and my expectations were not met. The food was great, but took over thirty minutes to hit our table. Having said that, service was terrible. Marianna was our server and we were not greeted for ten minutes. At one point she had not been to our table for over twenty minutes, all our drinks were empty, and she was in the corner on her phone. When we arrived, it was a half an hour wait. We went to the bar and within 5mins there were two seats available. We ordered two craft beers on draft. We decided we would dine at the bar. Haven't been here in a while but I definitely enjoyed coming back. Ordered a large pizza (8 slices) - half Mighty Meaty and Funky Q. Chicken and it was amazing! Love how the pizza is not too over on the sauces and the crust is delicious. Also ordered the Cloud 9 wings and they were so good!
