I am not sure what has happened to Giovanni's but the quality and the taste is gone terrible. I just ordered a pizza with toppings and I don't know if they're trying to save money, but I barely got any toppings for what I paid for. There is zero confidence in their pizza, there's zero wanting to do the right thing. The staff seem unmotivated. I've been getting pizza from them for a very long time and I'm just never gonna go back. It's worth a 30 minute drive to another pizza location than ever coming down the street five minutes to get pizza from Giovanni's. I was better off going to Papa John's read more

1- I ordered to go. While waiting by their bench next to the glass-wood door, I noticed some tiny flies flying through the bottom of the door. I became uncomfortable since I was wearing shorts and didn't want to get bit. Instead, I changed to the bar area to wait, but there they are flying over the menu. AC was broken more than it worked. Your band aid fixes allowed the AC to continue to not work. Florida is a great place to eat in a restaurant with no AC. You got rid of happy hour on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Did any of you brainiacs see the correlation between regulars who wouldn't come in anymore? The stuffed slice went from 7 inches thick to less than an inch. It shouldn't have contained the name "stuffed". Pizza maker had a friend come in almost every Friday and those two would go into the men's room for at least 10 minutes. DRUGS? You chased off probably the most popular bartender in Lake Nona. I have to agree with some of the recent reviews here. I remember going to Giovanni's with my family as a kid, so my taste buds have a bit of nostalgia when I think about eating there. Just ordered some chicken parm and fettuccine alfredo and this is the probably the worst Italian food I've had in a while. Almost down there with Armando's Fettuccine has no flavor and the whole dish was very salty...my stomachs hurts now and I'm sad :( My last experience with this restaurant- I called to ask if the lunch special was still going on (slice of pizza and a salad) - the woman on the phone said it wasn't available for delivery, in an attempt to just be silly I was like ohh nooo! We were so excited to try something new, but left disappointed. For our starter we ordered the garlic knots - they were eh at best. Luke warm and oily, but decent overall flavor. For our meal we ordered a pizza, and a pasta dish that included a side salad and bread. The pizza was alright - the sauce was flavorful and the toppings were average. We finished the pizza and were still waiting for our pasta. Ten minutes after finishing the pizza our waitress informed us that there was a mess up in the kitchen and apologized for the delay. After a few more minutes the pasta arrived. We had ordered fettuccine alfredo and added chicken. The pasta and chicken were both cold, because the alfredo sauce had sat it was somewhat gelatinous in nature. The salad was your standard house salad, but we never received the bread included with the meal. Minus the two other families present the restaurant was empty. Oh lord!! This was my second time at the 10663 Narcoossee location. I normally do not return to the same restaurant if I don't like it but here I go again. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs with a side salad. The salad was super cold and tasted like it was in wrapped in a cold fridge all day waiting for my arrival. The lettuce was soggy and wet. Disgusting!! I then received the spaghetti and meatballs with marinara sauce. Upon first glance, the pasta was drowning in marinara sauce. It had huge almost whole tomatoes straight from the can mixed in. The pasta was over cooked and swollen as if left in water all day. The meatballs tasted dry and burnt which was the only flavor the meatballs had. No seasonings what so ever!!! Here's the worst part of this whole think which really shocked me. Generally when I go to an Italian restaurant and order the same thing, it's usually one set price. However, at this location the pasta and Marinara swimming pool cost $16.00 dollars and the meatballs cost another $4.99 separately. How disgusting was that. I felt so cheated, ripped off. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. Not spaghetti with a side of meatballs. The sauce was so sweet I thought they spilled two cups of sugar into my plate. The personal size pizza my wife ordered was also disgusting and the pizza sauce was also downed in sugar. I was shocked when I saw the bill. Needles to say, I couldn't no where near finish the food. While visiting Fla my family and I was looking for a nice restaurant which could accommodate pets and came across Giovannis. The drive was about a half hour from our hotel, so we decided to give it a try, as we made it our goal to visit local spots that we can't get to in our home town for sake of new experiences. When we arrived, we were seated right away with our lil fur baby. The seating was outside of the restaurant in a low lit outdoor area right out front. I ordered a veggie calzone and my husband got lasagna, in addition to calamari as an appetizer. Each meal tasted amazing ; the calamari was golden brown, fried to perfection. I like white sauces with my calamari, but was open to eating it alone. The calzone was huge!!! It's enough for at least 3 people, making for great leftovers for our stay. I could tell the veggies were fresh and the calzone was freshly made, as the veggies had the bite of being fresh, which was good. The calzone was good and filling to say the least. It would've been better with seasoned veggies though, even with a little salt and pepper (which I did with my second helping from the hotel). The lasagna was delicious according to my husband, the meat and cheese was fresh. His helping was pretty large as well, leading to left overs, yay!!! Giovannis gave us very good bread while we awaited our food. It reminded us a fresh bread sticks before they are pulled apart, along with the Parmesan and other great Italian flavors. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive as well, acknowledging our little fur baby who remained well behaved the entire time we enjoyed our meal. The outdoor dining was very chill, the area was quiet in spite of its location in a strip mall. I felt comfortable and happy we could take our fur baby somewhere. Very few tables with chairs--either right outside the kitchen door with lots of traffic or right outside the toilets--smelly of deodorizer. Horribly noisy anywhere in the place and no awnings or shades on the west windows so that is awful. Food is GREAT and service very good. We LOVE Pasta Bella! Another negative is their "reward" system. It sucks. I cannot sign up on my phone so we get no discount. It sounds like a scam, putting in a credit card number to sign up for a rewards program?? It was set up heavily for carry out with a dining room in the back. Dodd was great and service was exceptional. Be sure to try the house dressing on your salad. I had high hopes for this newly opened restaurant, but unfortunately, it fell far below expectations. The first thing I noticed upon entering was the poor hygiene , two young girls at the take out counter playing with their hair and touching finished food without wearing latex gloves and when they had 1 glove on they touched their hair. As for the food, it was equally disappointing. My meal was poorly prepared and took a long time to be presented to me. The meal looked like it was thrown together and I had noticed that the cook had just thrown it into the carryout box. It's clear that the restaurant is cutting corners when it come to both cleanliness and food quality. I would not recommend dining here to anyone concerned about hygiene or a quality meal. The service was a lil slow for a Wednesday night waiting for our salads. The fettuccini was creamy and cheesy yum. The ziti with eggplant and mushrooms was a lil dry. There was more mushrooms in it than eggplant but not a bad dish. This is a small local pizza and bar with a small restaurant and the locals enjoy the bar ! Plenty of parking. Menu is not over priced. We didn't have pizza but would like to try on our next visit. All in all it was a good date night read more
