The oncologists' description of radiation and chemotherapy sounded like it would be extremely difficult for him and they advised he likely wouldn't live 12 mos even if the treatment was successful. We decided to pursue palliative care for him and I found Dr Inna with a google search for palliative care vets; she had the highest ratings and I liked what her clients had said about her. From our very first meeting I felt that she took the time to listen and she read all the history about Callum. She asked a lot of questions and then recommended we start with acupuncture and targeted vitamin B shots. While I was nervous he wouldn't tolerate it, he did quite well and it definitely brought him some relief. After doing acupuncture for a few months he became more fussy and would shake his head and the needles would fall out so she suggested we transition to laser treatment. He seems to tolerate it well and even seems to like the treatment and the results were similar. It's been over a year now and we see Dr Inna every 2-3 weeks for laser treatment, she has continued to suggest things that have worked including anti-nausea meds and THC/CBD drops. She has an exceptional bedside manner and I appreciate all the care and guidance she has given Callum and our family and would highly recommend her as a vet!

I asked around and heard from a friend about how their dog had been diagnosed by Barb with Myositis (refers to any condition causing inflammation in muscles). Not only Dr. Kollin figured it out where others couldn't, but she was able to alleviate the symptoms of weakness, swelling, and pain their dog had been suffering from. This even has helped me figure out my own ailment! So there wasn't a question in my mind as to our vet selection. Yes, I know some have reservations about certain aspects of her practice, such as operating out of her backyard or kitchen, perhaps not being the most sterile of the environments. At the same time, those are the perks for keeping your pet calm and relaxed during the visit: they know they are coming in for a friendly visitation and not an inquisition, as it may feel at a pet hospital. Yes, Barb's practice isn't computerized, but we're all creatures of habit and have our own preferences, so if that doesn't bother her, why should it bother me? I care for my pet's care, not for how neatly or conveniently she's keeping her paperwork. And I don't care about needless post card reminders from the hospital based on their computer records from some past random visits. And yes, pet weigh-ins are by Barb's assistant Katherine holding your pet to take a combined weight, subtract hers, then telling resulting number to Barb through an open window. But isn't that how you weigh-in your own pet? Isn't that how they weigh a small pet at a hospital? And that's exactly how my dog had been weighted at a perfectly computerized pet hospital setting. It does not take away from how well your pet is cared for, or how quickly you can get in for an emergency appointment. I'd recommend Dr. Kollin highly, except I don't think she's seeking any new referrals at this point. It might not be an easy way in for you-:)

She treated him all through his chemo treatments and called us after every round of chemo to update us and give us her professional insight in a very thorough and compassionate manner. Dr.Linda knew how much our cat meant to us. Of course he was our baby and a very special being. Dr. Linda and all the staff voiced to us how much they enjoyed our boy which was also so loving and encouraging. I strongly believe that with all the care we received at Sequoia, as well as the living attention we gave him that our boy got 2 more years of life than was first expected. We have all respect and thanks for what Dr. Linda and her staff did for our est brave little guy. In our opinion, Sequoia is the place that did everything they could to keep our cat thriving and Dr. Jorgensen will always figure as a hero in our boy's fight against Lymphoma and we are grateful to have had her gentle and intelligent care for him.

We had been taking our 2 dogs to Sequoia Vet Hospital (Dr. Jorgensen's practice) for many, many…read moreyears but now we are changing vets entirely. Things hadn't been going as well as they could at Sequoia for a while but then I discovered they had missed some signs of very serious illness in one of our dogs. This happened when I decided to take my dog to UC Davis for a second opinion. Well, I ended up having to leave her there for 5 days and she had to have emergency surgery! Our dog was so ill we were told she may very well not survive. (Thankfully, she did because of the wonderful staff at UCD hospital.) Sequoia did the follow-up care and I was very disappointed with that as well, particularly Dr. Jorgensen (AGAIN, missed something later found on a second visit to UC Davis). Dr. J. had horrible "bedside manner" and was indifferent to the concerns of my husband and I, and irritated by our questions. She also hadn't read our dog's records from UCD and therefore our visit with her was a waste of our time and money because she couldn't answer our questions and nothing new was learned. Dr. J. insisted on a further ultrasound in spite of my hesitation (I felt it was unnecessary and one had already been done at UCD just one month prior). I later confirmed from UCD this ultrasound was pointless. This ONE visit with Dr. J. cost $534. Money is no object with our pets but enough is enough! We have a cabinet full of medications that later turned out to be unnecessary or we were given far more than we needed. Sometimes the expiration date is only a few months away so what is left has to be tossed, instead of used as needed at a later time. Sometimes, no expiration date is given at all. We have 2 dogs and they have never made an effort to coincide their annual exams, shots, or medications. New (and more expensive) drugs are prescribed when ones that worked previously (and we might still have some of) are not considered. Plus, the office manager, Eva-Marie, has become rude and cold.

But recently Rocky had his annual physical exam, and Steven Sutter ordered tests of blood work ,ultra sound and urine urinalysis. Rocky's health had been deteriorating though he was taking all kinds of meds prescribed by Steven Sutter for his heart and a chronic infection in his body. After the tests were ordered, Rocky was put on daily antibiotics to control his chronic infection. But when Rocky's health kept deteriorating, I emailed Steven Sutter several times and kept a message in his office asking for an appointment to evaluate Rocky again and to have him help Rocky with his health issues. However, Steven Sutter ignored my emails and did not respond about what to do to help our sick and suffering dog. During this time, Rocky lost one-half of his weight since he stopped eating, drinking, or walking on his own. So we sought help by contacting another vet, and were informed that Rocky had a bad kidney disease. I am writing this review so that other dog owners can avoid the same bad experience with their dogs that my dog suffered at the end of his life.

Aragon has been great to our pets- or Dr. Sutter and Dr. Walsh ut not a fan sometimes of the girls up front that can be rude or difficult... One of them is super nice all the time. One of my labs recently passed away and have been blessed with having such a loving and caring vet as Aragon and Dr. Sutter. They made my experience peaceful and even sent UC Davis a donation for research in my dogs honor. I am so blessed to have this vet and my dogs are too. Love them!!! I can say enough about their support when you really need them.
