I called the morning of my scheduled drop off just to verify that everything was complete and that I was clear to bring my cat in. The woman who answered confirmed that everything looked good, that all paperwork was complete, and that I could drop off before 6 PM (closing time). I told her I would be there at 5 PM and she said that was perfect. I drove there, knocked on the door, rang the doorbell, and called multiple times. No answer. No response from anyone. No call back or explanation. I was left standing outside with my cat and had to scramble to find a last minute sitter. If I had not confirmed that morning I could understand a miscommunication, but to be told everything is confirmed and then to have no one there is unacceptable. I would not trust this facility with my pet. One star, and I will not be returning.

One of our cats is quite shy and I was a little concerned that she would not even catch a glimpse of him while we were gone. Of course he sensed Rena's warmth and genuine care and concern, he warmed right up to her and she was sending me photos of him the very first day we were gone! Our other kitty loves to watch the birds outside and often tries to slip out the front door to join them if I'm not super careful. Rena understood this and I knew I didn't have to worry about my little feline escape artist with Rena watching her! Rena picked up our mail, scooped the litter box, and washed the kitty dishes. She offered to fill our bird feeders and would have done just about anything I asked. She is so positive and so helpful. What a treasure she is! I feel like we can travel without hesitation any time because we know that our cats will be well cared for with Pet Mama!

Terrible experience. First, they rescheduled day-of TWICE due to a groomer no-showing. The actual…read moreappointment ended up being a week later than it was initially supposed to be. First red flag, but we were polite and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt; maybe it was just unluckiness on their part. We finally dropped our cat off today, only for them to call us to pick her up less than an hour later for extremely flimsy reasons--apparently, our cat was unhappy ("spicy") and swiped a few times--AFTER her nails had already been cut, thus there were no sharp claws or any blood drawn. Just some soft paw swipes. Seriously? Our cat is literally a RAGDOLL who's all bark (or meow) and no bite whatsoever--probably the EASIEST breed to work with. I highly doubt most cats are perfect angels at the groomer, so why send her home for a few swipes and general grumpiness? I reiterate that our cat was NOT having an anxiety attack or running rampant/drawing blood with her claws. She was simply exhibiting normal, "unhappy at the groomer" cat behavior. Honestly, it seems like they were just shorthanded (apparently, our scheduled original groomer no-showed again today lol) and needed an excuse to send our cat home ASAP. We noted that there was at least one other cat there, judging by the distressed meows, but only one available groomer. So they took the path of least resistance and didn't even TRY to accommodate our cat. Just sent her home at the first sign of discomfort. They probably figured that since we were so nice about the previous reschedules, we wouldn't make a fuss about this either. It feels pretty bad to take hours out of our week to schedule (and repeatedly reschedule) this appointment, only to have it canceled day-of within a single hour. And they STILL charged us $20 for only the nail trim after giving up without doing ANYTHING else. We could have easily trimmed her nails at home, for free, without making the 45-minute round trip twice (again to reiterate, she is a Ragdoll. Trimming her nails is nothing). Overall, they were so, so, so unprofessional and disappointing. Seriously expected better based on the other reviews. Maybe the good groomers were the bo-shows or something because all we got in the end was disappointment, a few wasted hours, and a wholly ungroomed cat. And we paid $20 for it too. Lol.

For our first actual walk, after our first "meeting" she came 30 minutes early and apparently knocked on our door. Our neighbors saw her come up and just leave as we were home, making lunch so that we could start our day after. She was so upset we didn't "answer" the door she was about to take off. She reluctantly with full on attitude came back up to "walk" our dogs for our practice run. She walked half way down the street and decided she was going to be late for her next appointment and took off. The funny thing is, when I screen shot the actual appointment time, and how she was 30 minutes early- it was her bad. I even went out of my way for not hearing her knocks. Mind you- we have 3 dogs, that will bark to hearts content if there's someone at the door. I'm sure ALL DOG people know this. She's either a scam artist, and/or a narcissist. She refused to apologize, terminated our account and we wasted a day with plans with our daughter because of her mistaken times. She is irresponsible and pretends to be someone she's not. Our community is very small, so I'm surprised she would try to pull a fast one. She not only wasted our day we planned for our daughter but she also makes me worry about her going into people's homes and caring for their pets. Shame on you! I've boarded with Charlie twice. The first time was in January 2025 and there was no issue. Charlie…read morewas super helpful as the sitter I had originally scheduled cancelled rather close to my trip. However upon boarding with Charlie a second time, there were some red flags. I remembered from my previous experience with Charlie that they preferred being paid in cash so when they sent me the invoice I asked if paying in cash was okay and they said that was fine. They also had stated I would be getting a slight discount ($36 a night instead of the normal $40 a night).Then at 5 am the morning of drop off I get a long paragraph stating that there was a convenience fee being added on as I didn't prepay. As it was literally the day before I had to leave, I felt no choice but to pay as I didn't have many options. The convenience fee was basically the same difference the discount Charlie gave was (I think it made my new total 3 or 4 dollars less than the original $40 a night would have added up to be).Then when I paid Charlie in person they didn't have any change and said they would give me the difference upon pickup. They also had stated that pickup was after 7 pm and when I texted them that I was on my way at around 7 pm that would be would get there at 7:15 ish. I did not get response until I had pulled up that Charlie needed to get dressed and that I needed to wait. After leaving for my trip, I texted to check in two days in a row before I got a response. Charlie said that they had sent photos and videos but I had not received anything and that things were fine. As I was traveling and only able to be on WiFi, I just passed it off as an error on my end even though all our messages were I-message and should have had any issues with sending photos. Then the next day I get text from Charlie asking if I can come after three for pickup. The stay was booked for two more and I reminded them of that. It was stated in my first submission through their website's online form as well as the invoice they had sent me in the same message thread. I will commend Charlie on being super flexible when I told them with issues with my flights being delayed as well as customs issues. I made sure to tip more heavily as they did me a huge favor. However pickup happened without them being present even when I offered to come by later when they would be around. It was not until the next day (after some much needed sleep) that I noticed some wounds/scratches on my cat that I was never informed about. If Charlie would have reached out and let me know beforehand, I would have been understanding as I know my cat was not the only one in residence upon drop off. There is a scratch on my cat's nose, a bulky scab on the interior of one of my cat's ears, and what feels like more scratches on the back of her head and neck.
