I just picked up my cat from cat's pajamas. I've never boarded any of my cats before - typically they're fine on their own for a day or two and if longer, you can always have some drop in to feed. But one cat became a diabetic and needs an insulin shot every 12 hours. I was very nervous about leaving her, but she came back looking happy and peaceful. Our two kittens (6 months old) stayed for 4 nights (5 days) and I can tell they were well taken care of. Our kittens are shy girls, so they were skittish and hid most of their time boarded up, but I could tell they ate all their food. When they arrived home they were super happy and adjusted back home within minutes. Although it was a little hard on our kittens, the fact they adjusted back home so quickly shows how cared for they were. I also think it's just because they were so young and it being their first time away from home. We'll definitely use the Cat Pajamas again, their pricing is very reasonable and it's a great alternative to hiring a pet sitter who comes into your home. My one criticism is that they don't always call you back. We had to call a few times to ensure our reservation was confirmed which was a little frustrating. read more

He needed the awfully bitter prednisolone everyday and the PJ team was on it. I left special food, vet contact, and meds with my kitty for one week. The boarding suites are clean and orderly. Robin is also my go-to cat groomer in town! Twice a year, my Phoebe struts her booty around the house with her fabulous Lion's clip from Cat's PJs! Recently, my husband and I both had to travel at the same time, which meant that our boycat needed a sitter. Having driven by Cat's Pajamas over the years, we called our vet to ask if she had any comments about it, pro or con. She did--and her review was positive, based on the experiences of other of her cat/patients. After a lovely phone call with the office, off to Cat's Pajamas the boycat went. When we picked him up a week later, he was calm, healthy, happy, and only moderately happy to see us--which told us he'd had a wonderful time at Cat's Pajamas. It's wonderful to know that we have someone we can trust to spoil him when we're on the road. That *we* like these lovely people is important, but that the boycat likes them...his is the review that really matters. So, to be clear: that's 5 stars from us, and 5 purrs from boycat. read more

Our cat Tiberius had a bad experience with having his nails trimmed at the vet, so he was not happy to go to have them trimmed today. The staff at The Cat's Pajamas put me at ease with their gentleness in dealing with Tibs. It started with their kindness on my initial call. They are clearly "cat people"! Dorothy, the groomer, was very attentive to Tibs and took such good care of him. I was glad that there were two people with him, as one could tend to him and make him feel comfortable while Dorothy did the trim. I saw another review that gave me some concern, but my experience (and Tibs') was just great. I'm looking forward to having him come back again. read more

I can't in well-mind recommending getting a cat groomed here, maybe for cats that aren't skittish it's okay. I took my 7-month old kitten here the first time in November 2020, and they said she did alright. She smelled super nice and was super soft. The next time I took her in January 2021, I asked how she was, and they told me she was rather hissy. When I got back home and looked at her paws, 3 nails were bleeding because they were cut too deep. When she came home, she was trying to bite me, and touching her claws made her aggressive as well. That said, it turns out some water got into my cat's ear during her grooming session which caused her to excessively scratch that ear to the point where she was going bald (took her to the vet to find out why she was excessively scratching one ear - turns out it was water in the ear). I took my cat to a different grooming place to get her nails trimmed recently and that groomer said my cat was ready to attack the moment the groomer was trying to take her out of the carrier; said groomer told me she wouldn't recommend my cat to be groomed, or even having her nails trimmed outside of home, because my cat was so traumatized from before (I told her my cat had a bad experience at the previous grooming place - which is The Cat's Pajamas). Since then, my cat at home has been trying to aggressively bite me and my family non-stop, running around like a mad man, and whenever someone came close to her paws, she was ready to attack. Needless to say, however The Cat's Pajamas was treating my kitten back then traumatized her pretty badly. I'm glad the next groomer I took her to was very honest, but I can't recommend this place if your cat is skittish, nervous, or anxious. I understand animals can be difficult to deal with, especially if they aren't cooperative, but it becomes a lifelong struggle for the owner when something such as cutting a feline's nails too deep - on multiple claws - happens. I would've rather have them be honest and tell me they didn't trim my cat's nails because of the risk of cutting her quick since she can be rather fussy - or at least, to have called and asked before doing so - to show that they care about a furry friend's wellbeing. read more

My cat isn't allowed to stay home alone anymore in the comfort of her home, as she's pee'd outside her box when a pet sitter would come over. So! Our ragdoll cat, Wally, had really bad knots in his mane and we didn't know what to do to help him! We always brush him once a day but since we were in the middle of moving homes, the brushing became inconsistent for a couple of weeks. This caused terrible knots for Wally and we could tell that he was super stressed because of it. We brought him into Cat's Pajamas hoping they could help him. As a worried kitty mom, I reluctantly dropped him off but the staff was so kind and the minute we walked in, they already loved him. I knew he would be in good hands. A few hours later, we picked him up and he was like a brand new kitty, in amazing spirits and running around! They were able to get the knots out without having to completely shave him which I was really happy about. You can only see the bald spots when he turns his neck but face on, his mane looks normal. Amazing! I could tell Wally loved it. My only complaint is the actual facility looks pretty worn down and the smell of cats when you first walk in isn't very pleasant. I've taken my Comet here twice now, he gets a lion cut every summer. He is white, so they get him super clean and his lion cut is FLAWLESS! They really love cats and Comet took to them right away! I always have my hands full with my young daughter when I come, and they always come outside to help me out (I don't even have to ask!) and they insist on carrying him out to my car. I really really wanted to write a good review, because the ladies who were there were really nice, and seemed like they loved cats. Also, the price was very reasonable. I paid $15 a night for my cat. BUT....here's the big but, my cat caught a bug while she was there. I picked her up and she couldn't stop sneezing and I had to take her to the vet, where we discovered she had a 104 degree fever and was immediately put on antibiotics. I really wanted to like this place, but I know I can't take my cat back to this place. I think the cats are too close in proximity to one another, therefore, it's much easier for one cat to catch another cat's virus/cold/sickness while being boarded here. read more

My cat is skittish and testy around everyone but myself and I knew this place had the magic touch when I took her back a second time and she was completely at ease.
